The Best City in the US for Shopping Is Exactly the One You Think It Is | Condé Nast Traveler

"Positioned inside Disney Springs, this store sells blind boxes to adults using virtual waitlists, gamifying the act of buying into a little ritual of suspense and fitting neatly into a membership-style economy where even the Annual Passholder discount becomes part of the calculus of loyalty and spending." - Paul Jebara

Google
A true gem!! For any Star Wars fan, don't skip this shop. Located toward the right wing of Disney Springs, a little hidden, this shop is not too big but yet has tons of Star Wars merchandise. Clothing, replica costumes and robes. Disney ears. Statues and other collectible ornaments. Home and some kitchen decors. Staffed animals and dolls, pins, and magic bands. Even a press penny collectibles machine that let you choose between 1 for $1 or all 8 figures for $5. My daughter got all of them and they are pretty cool! They also carry those 'Thermal Detonator' Coke and Sprite bottles that are very popular in Hollywood Studios Galaxy's Edge. CMs are friendly and very helpful in answering all questions or interacting with guests. Very cleaned and organized shop. NOTE: they no longer carry legacy lightsabers or customized one here, can be done only at Hollywood Studios.

If you're a die-hard Star Wars fan like myself, you might find the idea of a themed store dedicated to the galaxy far, far away quite thrilling. However, my recent visit to [Store Name] left me more disappointed than a moisture farmer on Tatooine during a drought. First off, let's talk prices. I understand that licensed merchandise often comes with a premium, but the prices here were downright exorbitant. Want a simple lightsaber keychain? That'll be the equivalent of a month's worth of rations on Jakku. And don't even get me started on the limited edition collectibles; you'd think they were made of pure beskar. Now, onto the layout. The store was so cramped with people that navigating through the aisles felt like navigating an asteroid field in the Millennium Falcon. Every corner was packed with eager shoppers, making it impossible to browse comfortably, let alone enjoy the experience. In conclusion, unless you're willing to part ways with your hard-earned credits faster than Han Solo can make the Kessel Run, I'd advise against wasting your time at [Store Name]. Save your money for a trip to a galaxy far, far away where the merchandise is more reasonably priced and the crowds are less overwhelming. May the Force be with your wallet.

5-28-19 - Everything Star Wars you can think of in store. Kids enjoyed creating their own light Saber, and going back down memory lane, while scenes from previous movies flashed on screens there. Worth the trip for sure, with or without the force.

Google
A Disney store specialized in Star War theme. Here you can buy your favorites Star War puppets and toys and build your own lightsaber.

Google
One of my favorite shops at Disney springs. It was well organized, clean, the staff were very helpful and had a variety of Star War items. You can even make a light Saber. You don't have to do it at Hollywood Studios. You don't get the full experience as you do at the park, but still nice anyways.

Google
Very cool Star wars store! If you're a huge Star wars fan you're going to love coming here.

Google
One of two Star Wars stores in Disney Springs. They generally have recently released or featured merchandise which changes over quickly. They usually have some overlap with merchandise that is for sale in Galaxy's Edge (Hollywood Studios).

Google
One of two trading posts in the springs. This one is a little less crowded and bigger. Go check it out!

Yelp
If you are in Disney Springs and you want to buy some special Star Wars clothing, costumes or other gifts, then this is the place to visit. It's not a huge store but it is clean and well-stocked. During this visit, they had dog accessories (toys, collars, clothing). They were so adorable!

Yelp
Forget to buy that lightsaber at Dok Ondar's at Hollywood Studios? Maybe you didn't want to deal with a line of like minded individuals or just don't want to pay the outrageous price to get into the park - well some of that problem is gone. This store is ok, not much selection compared to stuff available in the park. But if it's a lightsaber you crave they've got them here. Same stuff available in the park but with shorter lines minus the hefty associated costs. I found a few other things I didn't see in the park and some that I did. Andor & ObiWan mini series was somewhat represented. Again it was just a few pieces. But lightsabers...

Yelp
Lots of items for fans. A lot of the stuff here isn't exclusive to Disney world and can be bought elsewhere.

Yelp
So happy to have this Star Wars Trading Post gift shop in Disney Springs! It's right by the entrance you come in from the riverboat drop-off/pick-up point, so it was one of the first shops we saw upon entering Disney Springs. Given that this was the first spot we were visiting to start our week off with at Disney, we hadn't been to any Disney parks yet, especially not Galaxy's Edge. So in comparison, at the time, this shop was filled with abundance!! In hindsight though, it doesn't hold a candle to all that you can get within Galaxy's Edge! But for the time being, it really got me hyped to visit Hollywood Studios and finally immerse myself in Galaxy's Edge. They had the Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite Star Wars bottles, which I was planning to pick up anyways as souvenirs, so I was glad to grab them here and take them back to the hotel room and get that stored away so that I wouldn't be carrying them around all day at the actual Galaxy's Edge! Appreciated the convenience! Nothing else really spoke to me here, but I was glad to look around at all they had to offer! I would recommend that unless you know it's something you'll definitely want, wait until you've visited all the gift shops at Galaxy's Edge before committing to anything here that offers more "variety" like ears or apparel and the like!

Yelp
Build your own droid at out of these world prices! Came here and my friend built his own cheaply made lightsaber at double the price of a regular store. I told him it would break in his luggage but he didn't want to listen to me. Overpriced merchandise with very little selection and staff who don't even know who the characters are. I asked if they had any "Porgs" and he looked at me and said he doesn't know what that is. Um, how are you working at the STAR WARS Trading post then?? Tshirts and the like are all thin and cheaply made and overly baggy. Skip this and go somewhere else instead.

Yelp
A fun spot for Star Wars fans! This one (compared to the other Star Wars theme store here at Disney Springs) is a bit more adult or refined? Less sweatshirts and tshirts. More realistic constumes in adult sizes as well as house hold goods with droids and such painted all over them. I thought this place was great fun! And my little still enjoyed it. They did manage to find some droid wind-up toys that were pretty cool looking! Prices her are about as awfully high as you'd expect. But enjoy the ride!

Yelp
I'm a Star Wars fan and was looking forward to checking this place out as we walked through Disney Springs, but overall I found it to be lackluster. There's not much inventory to peruse and what's there is not very intriguing. Basically, it's lots of stuffed animals, t-shirts, keychains and on the other end of the price spectrum, adult costumes, lightsabers and helmets. Also, predictably, everything is really expensive. I have to point out, whomever is designing the Star Wars t-shirts in Walt Disney World is a total dork. Designs like "Force Wielder", "I Love You - I Know" and "Yoda: Do or Do Not" show a complete lack of imagination and creativity in my opinion. I love to pick up a graphic tee here and there, especially when on vacation, and I literally could not find one design in any of the parks that wasn't cringeworthy. That says something. Overall 2 stars. Not worth more than a few moments of your time.

Yelp
Although the place looks like it is right out of the movies, the service is horrible. We bought a Bader light saber which they said they had to go to the back to get and came out with it all packaged up. We got back to Tampa only to discover that they gave us the wrong saber. There was no way to call the store so we had to drive 1.5 hrs back to get the right item that we paid for.

Yelp
This place is always a stop for my family when we come to Disney Springs. We did not have to wait long to get in here. It is great that we are able to pick up park found merchandise here without actually entering the park. This place is limiting access Counters and other touch points are being wiped down frequently.

Yelp
This is the coolest Star Wars location in the galaxy. A build your own light saber station? R2 robot that was following me around? C3P0 Disney ears and more, it was a phenomenal store to go into. Regretfully, I didn't buy anything last night since I don't want to go over with our luggage, but next time I'm in Disney Springs, you can certainly bet I'll be stopping by and buying my own personalized light saber. They also have a lego station inside as well, it's one of the coolest shops I've ever seen.

Zach H.

Yelp
Great place!!!!! We purchased 3 sabers. You will not be dissatisfied. We were even able to grab 30% off on them. Check this place out before you leave. Also I found Disney springs as a whole very enjoyable. We went in the night time and it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Hard to not like a Star Wars store at any age. They have a cool array of merch here to enjoy. We've been bringing our son in since he was two, and I don't think (despite the prices) we've made it out once without buying something. That includes a good number of lightsabers! Disney Springs has two Star Wars stores..both seem to have the same things, only one is larger than the other. If you bring the nuggets in...spoil them. They don't stay little forever, and they'll probably remember their visit and gift for a lifetime. May the Force be with you! Cheers.

Yelp
For the Star Wars enthusiasts this is a must stop at Disney Springs. Plenty for all to look at and buy.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
Does not have Legacy Lightsabers in spite of all the post saying otherwise. Can only be purchased in the Hollywood Studios park. Good selection of other items though. No phone to call before you venture over there.

Yelp
It's a Star Wars store with a lot of little and random things. Everything is highly priced for what you are getting. They had some unique things in it, but not enough to warrant a purchase. My husband really enjoyed this store and wanted many things. He had to remember we were flying back and couldn't buy much unless it fit in our suitcase. Star War lovers will probably love this place.

Yelp
This is such a cute little store! You can build your own light saber or get some cool shirts. There's plenty of stuff to find in here if you're a Star Wars fan. They also do pin trading!

Rodney F.

Yelp
This Star Wars store on Disney Springs is slightly larger and a little nicer than the other, and it has a few additional items. Kids can build their own lightsabers and they also carry the more expensive collectible versions of lightsabers.
