Starfish Jibacoa (Villa Tropico)

Villa Tropico is a beautiful, quiet resort 1/2 way between Havana and Veradero. A beautiful reef guards the amazing white sand 2km long beach. All the staff are super courteous and helpful. The food is good at the dining hall for the scheduled meal times with a large selection on the buffet. The drinks are plentiful and served by fun characters at both the pool and lobby bars. We will definitely be back!

🌴✨ We came to Cuba with low expectations—just to tick it off the list. BUT wow… Starfish Jibacoa completely surprised us! Expectations not only met, but exceeded!||🙌 🏨 Hotel: Not luxury, but comfy enough for a stress-free vacation.||🍽️ Food: Plenty of options every day—breakfast, lunch, dinner. Some dishes are even amazing! And surprise… their bread is softer than grocery bread back home 😋 . If you’re picky, bring your own spreads (peanut butter or jam) but honestly, they take care of guests so well.||🛏️ Room: Simple bungalows, a bit outdated but cozy. We had a power issue one night, but staff moved us quickly to a better room and fixed the issue electricity very fast.||📶 Internet: wifi is working its included on the stay, its unstable but works perfectly in lobby and restaurant area. It doesnt work inside the room.||🎉 Activities: Paddle boats, volleyball, snorkeling, bingo, dance lessons, evening shows… and the mini club was a hit with our daughter!||🤝 Service: Excellent—staff are attentive, kind, and genuinely try to make your stay special.||🥥 Bonus: Fresh coconuts until 3pm daily… my zen is full! 🙈✨||⭐ Overall: Not luxury, but great value if you manage expectations. So happy we chose Starfish Jibacoa to spend our holidays—memories we’ll never forget! 🎄💖

A beautiful hotel and the kindest people I have ever encountered in my travels. The beach was a dream. The rooms are clean. The food was good. A lot of entertainment at night ! Talented professional dancers giving wonderful performances. I love everything about our time there. Sweet memories 🏝️💕

This resort is indeed a gem. Totally laid back and perfect to enjoy a quiet vacation in a lush environment. Much better than several if not most of the 4* I’ve stayed in Cuba and elsewhere in the Caribbeans. Yes, you don’t have the same facilities of the Memories besides, but the landscaping is the best I’ve seen. The staff is also amazing. I had 2 issues, which were settled within 20 min after contacting the front desk. The food is also repetitive, but always very satisfying. Shout out to the great pastry chef! The beach is very nice and cleaned regularly to remove garbage from Santa Cruz and Portuguese jellyfishes coming sometime in afternoon. I really don’t understand the negative reviews from clients who paid a very reasonable price expecting a Club Med service…

This place is a real gem. Is nested between luxurios mountains and the blue ocean. We had great time swimming, sunbathing and rekaxing. The beds are super comfortable. The kindness of the people makes the difference. We felt in love with this place. Thanks to the staff, you are great!!

Located between Veradero and Havana. Quiet resort where everyone knows you! Very good food, although repetitive. Plenty of drinks. Beach is amazing with fantastic snorkeling. No wait for beach loungers. Beautiful pool area. Bungalows offer a private patio area. No getting lost on this resort property.

Jibacoa Starfish is a wonderfully quiet and comfortable resort. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous and quickly come to know your name and preferences. The meals were always hot and fresh and we were always met with a smile at the dining hall. On top of this the location is amazing and the reef just off the beach provides opportunity for fantastic water activities.

We had great time at starfish jibacoa. Beautiful nature, nested between mountains and ocean. The only noises you hear are the waves and the birds singing. It is the perfect retreat to enjoy beautiful Cuba. Staff is very kind, always accomodating every request. If you are looking to relax and unwind this is the place.
