"For something different from Laguna’s typical California fare, head to Starfish, where you can get dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, China, Korea, and India. The menu ranges from sushi and satays to dumplings, noodle dishes, whole fish, and more—all perfect for pairing with signature cocktails like the Whiskey Blossom, with bourbon, orange bitters, clover honey, and egg whites. Beyond the delicious food, Starfish is known for its upbeat atmosphere. DJs spin well into the night, while guests linger on the outdoor patio, sipping drinks amid tropical foliage."

I was invited for a dinner with my friend and I was very excited about this place but I actually didn’t have a good experience with the food. I don’t like spicy food and everything was very spicy. Got sushi, curry and Pad Thai since the curry was too spicy and I couldn’t handle it but Pad Thai had a different taste that I never tested before so it was kind of frustrating. I woke up in the next day feeling nauseous and I still feel it. It’s been 2 days. Can’t say for sure it was because of that food but it was the only different thing I’ve eaten that day.

Best service Best food Loved everything here. Definitely coming back! They have happ hour from 3-6p (I went on a Thu and not sure if they have it every day). Their price for the location and atmosphere is pretty good.

Long wait, mediocre food, increased prices. Pretty disappointed after going to starfish for lunch today. They used to have the best edamame, however now it just tastes like a garlic bomb. The California roll had the seaweed on the outside and was very chewy. The steak skewers were tasty but at $18 they’re an absolute rip off. I used to love starfish but with the LONG wait to get our food today, and the increase in price with a decrease in quality, I definitely won’t be back.

This place never disappoints! Started with some appetizers. We had edamame, chicken wontons and potstickers. They were delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the lemon chicken as my main entrée and it was fantastic! Our waiter gave me the option to have it with green beans versus broccoli. It was a good call. Might seem like a small thing, but even the rice was cooked to perfection. Not too sticky not too dry, just right! My only complaint is that it’s a bit dark in there, but I guess we could choose to sit outdoors next time which might be a nice option. Lots of people enjoy enjoying a drink and some appetizers at the bar.

Absolutely magnificent. This is a great place of you like Asian food and small plate dining (tapas style). The food is amazing, the atmosphere is buzzing and the decor is beautiful. I've been to the one in Newport Beach also, which is equally great. Will certainly come again.

Google
lobster roll is quite quality dish, macadamia adds texture to the roll. Korean tacos a bit disappointing, too many flavors overpowering each other. Seafood Thai curry very delicious, fish all cooked to perfect doneness, curry thick and tasty, would recommend

No wait time at 6:45pm! We sat outside. They have good heaters that kept us comfortable even as it got colder. We ordered calamari and halibut, and they were such an explosion of flavors. Personally, given the quality of food, we felt that the prices were reasonable. We ordered sake and a cocktail. The cocktail was super strong, and Leslie, our server, said that that’s how they do it there! So that’s a bonus for drinkers. Leslie was a burst of sunshine from the start. She enthusiastically explained what the restaurant had to offer, and even took off the cocktail (We don’t like strong drinks, so we literally only had a taste of the cocktail and didn’t touch it for the rest of the dinner). The gesture was much appreciated. I knocked off one star because their women’s bathroom was cramped and had only 2 stalls. They really need to expand that!

I helped my sister-in-law plan a 50th birthday and we got Starfish to cater. They were very easy to work with in the planning process and super accommodating. On-site, the whole team was amazing and took great care of all the guests. Their Starcuterie board was beautiful and the food was delicious! I'd definitely use them again. Thank you Starfish team ❤️

Yelp
My friend met me at Starfish in Laguna Beach to celebrate my birthday. Right after we sat down, our server Brandon met us with complimentary sparkling and flat water. We decided to order the Wok Fired Edamame while we looked over the menu. The edamame is really delicious. There is plenty of garlic in this dish that really compliments the edamame. We decided to split the Crispy Lobster Spring Roll and the Kung Pao Prawns. Do yourself a favor and order the lobster spring roll. It is a little pricey but worth every penny. The roll is filled with large chunks of lobster and comes with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The Kung Pao Prawns are also delicious that include lots of veggies and peanuts and is just the right amount of spicy. Brandon was informed by my friend that we were celebrating my birthday, so at the end of our meal he surprised us with a delicious dark chocolate covered ball of strawberry mousse at no charge. It was a beautiful sunny day sitting out on the front patio with a good friend dining on great food. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
We went there for opium hour and it did not disappoint. I was afraid that they would be so busy to seat us but we got in easy breezy. I love the vibe, it's like an eclectic Asian supper club inside (not out in the patio). Stephanie was our server and did a good job. The food came out rather quickly which was probably a good thing because we were hungry folks. We ordered quite a few dishes: mixed herb calamari, sunset roll, Korean tacos, Saigon summer roll, mint Thai chicken roll, star nigiri, and steak satays. It's hard to say which ones were my favorite because they all were very good in different ways. You can't go wrong with the steak satays, sunset rolls, and mint Thai chicken roll for sure. They have such an extensive menu during 3-6 pm that there's something for everyone.

Yelp
We came by here for an early dinner on a weeknight. At 5pm, there was surprisingly a wait. We gave our number to the hostess who let us know it would be about 30 min wait for a table. We ended up getting our table a little earlier. Apparently we came at the same time as happy hour. We got a couple items off the happy hour menu and regular menu. Notably, from the happy hour menu we ordered the crab California roll and star nigiri. These were decent tasting but had a bit too much rice compared to fish ratio. From the regular menu we ordered the pad thai and thai crab fried rice. The portions were huge! Unfortunately these dishes were disappointing to taste. I was most appalled by the thai crab fried rice. Never had I tried hot tomatoes and cold cucumber in fried rice. The flavours did not mesh well at all in this dish. The service was good here, but ambiance is on the noisier side. The sushi is alright but would avoid the thai dishes we ordered.

Yelp
Starfish is amazing for their small plates plus sushi and entrées. I was meaning to make a review so many times and Everything we had was so delicious. What a great experience to celebrate my engagement with my sister. Thank you starfish

Yelp
My husband and I came back for a second visit to Starfish and it was just as fantastic as the first time!! We love the variety of the menu! There are many great choices and prices on the Opium hour menu! The rolls here are so so good! We have yet to try some of the other dinner options other than the crab wontons (which were amazing btw) because the rolls are so delicious. The drinks are great too! A big thank you to Connor. We adore this place, but the best part is having Leslie as our server! She always is so sweet and has such great suggestions! Her smile is infectious and she is such a breath of fresh air. She really adds to the dining experience and we cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
We had a pleasure of attending a private party in Newport, which was catered by starfish sushi restaurant They do the absolute best gorgeous sushi boats with all of the delicious sides, fresh ginger, fresh wasabi. Everything was so delicious and their main courses were fine. We absolutely love the restaurant starfish but if you ever have the pleasure of going to a party, where they cater it it is amazing , five star all the way...

Yelp
We came to Starfish for happy hour - the food was tasty with a solid selection. The drinks were alright, but the real highlight was the cute ambience, both inside and out! It's just a short walk to the beach, which makes it the perfect spot for grabbing happy hour and then watching the sunset. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
This place is cuteeee for a date night, but the seats are super close!! You can hear the other party's conversation (which I don't like.) The food is pretty good, I was skeptical about Asian/sushi/thai in Laguna. But it's definitely a fusion, their spicy wontons are really spicy but it's good! The star was definitely the Chilean sea bass curry!

Yelp
This is a great stop if you're in the area. Lots of yummy options to choose from. Drinks are on point, staff is attentive, and the food is delicious. If you're a big fan of spicy get the Chili Fire wontons! Best I've had by far. The Chix Satay has a really good Peanut sauce that it's served with. They do have Happy hour, take reservations, and are kid friendly. They have bar seating, inside tables, and a small covered patio area which is where they seemed to sit larger parties. Inside can be a little dark, but that is part of their ambiance. I've heard great things about their sushi, but haven't had a chance to try yet.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of Starfish in Laguna Beach since before it became a well-known spot, and I've always cherished the fantastic ambiance and usually great food. However, my recent visit left me feeling a bit disappointed, and I'm hoping it was just an off night. As always, we ordered calamari, which has always been a favorite of mine, but this time, it was heavily breaded with barely any calamari underneath. My Thai curry, which should have been bursting with aromatic flavors, was sadly overcooked and tasted bland. Sigan roll was a no go, completely lacked flavor! On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the ambiance remains as inviting and comfortable as ever. Just a few weeks ago, we came in just for the sushi rolls, and they were fantastic, so I know the kitchen is capable of great things. I'm curious if there has been a change in the kitchen staff or ownership, or if this was just an off night? I hope to return and find the Starfish I know and love back in top form.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 PM with a party of five to take advantage of their happy hour. The hostess informed us there would be about a 45-minute wait, which was surprising, but we decided to stay. She mentioned we'd likely be seated at the tables outside in the front of the resturant , which was fine with us. However, I noticed parties coming and going from these tables while we waited. After 45 minutes, I checked in with the hostess, who said she was waiting for one of the front tables to open up....even though I notice other parties that came after us seated there. We waited another 10 minutes, and by this time, I was getting frustrated. It was clear that parties were being seated at those tables while we continued to wait. When we finally received a text that our table was ready, I went to the hostess stand. At the same moment, an employee informed the hostess that he was seating another party of five at the same table we were supposed to have, despite them just arriving. It was apparent that the hostess was selectively seating parties, leaving us waiting for nearly an hour. I've never encountered anything like this before. When we finally got seated, the waitstaff was accommodating, allowing us to order happy hour drinks and food. The sushi rolls were delicious, and the food was okay. However, the frustrating experience with the seating left a bad taste in my mouth, and it dampened the overall enjoyment. I'll probably never return.

Yelp
Starfish hits everytime!! Picture perfect sushi that is delicious in each bite. Brandon helped elevate our experience with exploring the menu & what to try next. Super cool vibes to eat, chat and have a fun evening out. Will be back!

Yelp
Had my nephews 16th birthday here, he raves about this place! So he wanted to celebrate it here. I enjoyed it. I felt it was extremely dark in there and hard to see menu (I'm not 16 lol) but it created a very fine dining atmosphere and they have table candle light lol. For a Wednesday evening it was packed, but seating was quick, seating is very close together so if there is 4 at a table next to you enter and exit is a slight issue. We ordered sharable items tonight but my nephew raves about it all.. tonight we chose the Lobster Macadamia roll, I believe the crab california roll, Korean tacos, beef sliders, & steak satays.. ABSOLUTELY LOVED the beef sliders - I ended up ordering another at the end of the meal and I'm not sure how but they were even better than the first order. I truly wished that they had a big portion of it and I would have eaten it all! Everything else was decent no issues. Server was nice and came with a birthday dessert for him and his smile said it all. Would I recommend the dessert they gave....no lol but I'm Very happy he was happy! & I know we will be back to try other dishes. Thank you for making it special for him.

Yelp
So/so Sometimes the experience is less than ideal... I attached a screenshot of the convo w my buddy, who owns his own alcohol company. I own a company as well. Not that it matters, but it kinda does...

Yelp
Bf got take out for me after having dinner with a friend here. I ordered the lobster roll and was not particularly impressed. He asked if it was salty because when they ordered the same roll dining in, it was too salty, which I was surprised to hear because mine wasn't. I've had many a sushi roll in my life and have never tasted one that was too salty so that was a weird concept for me. Based on the hard rice and taste I think I'd find better options in that neck of the woods if need be for a better price point for what you're getting.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and ordered the spicy tuna roll and Thai Spicy Beef with basil. The food was excellent. High quality ingredients and the food was delicious. The restaurant was packed and the vibe was lively. The service was on point and friendly. Even the local lady that lived close to the restaurant and was dining by herself was very friendly and loquacious. Also the menu offerings are ingenious, all of the best Asian dishes available.

Yelp
I love a great happy hour! Starfish had a unique atmosphere and we hoped the food and drink would match in uniqueness! For a second I had thought about going four star... but after reflecting let me ask, have you ever been some place and it was solid but also just didn't seem to hit the mark? That's how Starfish felt... nothing wrong with it but... The Positives: Service was great, attentive but not in your face or didn't just disappear. Nice balance. The cocktails tasted excellent and the nigiri was super nice cut ls of ahi. The Meh: the Saigon Summer roll was so out of proportion between sprouts, carrots, the other veggies and just one piece of tiny shrimp. The sauce had zero flavor of peanut which is listed as a peanut hoisin sauce. Good heat on that sauce but flavors weren't all there. The calamari was supposed to be herb but there was little to no herb flavors... looked like just some parsley sprinkled on top... again not bad calamari but nothing special. The crab wontons were basically just cream cheese wontons. If there was crab inside you couldn't taste it or see it in ours. Again, a lot of decent food... I'd even give it a 3.6 if I could but nothing unique like we had heard and hoped for when we chose it. Finally The bad: no real bad here besides the parking (which I don't hold the restaurant responsible for when located near other businesses) and the price. For 4 dishes and a couple of cocktails the "opium" or happy hour price was over $100 for two people. I can't imagine what full priced meals for two would cost here.

Yelp
server : 5/5 - I'm sad I didn't catch her name but she was amazing. Did a double date with kids and she was more than accommodating and kind! We sat on the side patio and it was a Thursday and our reservation time was 315, lol hoping management sees this and gives credit where it's due. My party after dinner talked about the amazing service she provided. Our waters were never not once empty. She was thoughtful to go through all the menus. We were there for OC restaurant week and they have their own personal happy hour and main menu. So we had options! Ambiance : 3.5/5 - personally, the space itself was very very crammed and I'm so thankful they had outdoor seating or else I might have felt claustrophobic. I think this would definitely be a great date night place without kids Food : 4/5 - my husband had their Thai curry and was not a fan but I personally loved it. We also had their ahi seared salad and I wanted to love it but it was mediocre at best for me. mostly because the salad was sorta drenched in a sauce. now thinking back I should've asked for my dressing on the side. I would definitely go back and try other stuff!

Yelp
Starfish is the best.. Tucked off in a strip mall we was seated right away on the patio my waitress Alexus was very nice service here is great the food is amazing the Solag Drunken Noodle & Thai Coconut Chicken Satay are the best and the crab fried rice & Shrimp Dumplings are so delicious.. I forgot what drink I had but it was tasty.. so if your in laguna beach stop by this place you will not be disappointed..

Yelp
Such a cute spot in laguna semi close to the beach. So much parking bc it's in its own lot with cvs pharmacy. The decor is pretty cute inside, although they serve all kinds of Asian food, it gives more of a Thailand vibe for decoration. Our server was dolly and she was super sweet and attentive. The seating is kinda cramped inside but they also have some seating with lots of heating lamps outside. They have a full bar in the middle of the inside as well. I saw parties of families with small kids and friends at the tables so it seems like a place for all kinds of groups! Now for the food. We went during happy hour from 3-6pm. The drinks were super strong and for the cocktails it was half off. Such a good price and deal! I got the whiskey bloom and my friend got the lychee martini-both super strong and super flavorful. It wasn't really pretty tho... so not picture worthy lol for the appetizers we got quite a few. We got the calamari nothing spectacular but 7/10, the wonton chilli oil (superrrrr extra spicy!!) 6/10 too spicy to eat, the lobster macadamia roll 8/10 kinda pricey if not on happy hour it's not worth it if it was normal priced, the satay chicken skewers had a lot of peanut sauce and the chicken was juicy 8/10, Korean tacos 8.5/10 for me that was the best one...the pickled radish gave a good crunch and the sauce was flavorful and the meat was tender. For the main course yes we ordered more lol I got the seafood curry and I Highly recommend it. It's a tad spicy but the flavor omg spot on! My friend had the scallops, the sauce was a bit strong for me but she liked it, they recommended it with coconut white rice and it did enhance the flavor. My other friend had the grilled cod with squash or something. I didn't like it bc it didn't come with rice lol it wasn't that good for me but they both liked their dishes. The seafood curry was my pick and I think I won with ordering that lol Prolly will come back after a day at the beach. I liked it and I think happy hour is worth it, good deals!

Yelp
It's not too often I grow to like someplace more than my initial first impression, however it's happened with Starfish! My first time here, I was wanting a sushi forward meal and their sushi selection let me down a little, BUT their Asian-fusion dishes have totally made up for it. We have not had anything we did not like! While I will still enjoy a roll or two (sunset roll, spicy ahi tuna roll), some of our favorite dishes are: crab wontons, thai vegetable curry (add non-gmo tofu), drunken noodles (house cut pad see ew noodles, add wild prawns), mongolian beef and their dumplings. Their ambiance is always excellent as it's lively with great music and moody atmosphere. My husband and I particularly love sitting at the bar where it's first come first serve and enjoy having the staff help curate a special cocktail for us or offer their advice on what dish to try next. One of the bartenders there helped me find my new favorite martini "Enlightenment" which has vodka, muddled cucumber, fresh tarragon, pomegranate juice, splash of citrus and lemongrass. Refreshing and not too sweet. Starfish has quickly become our regular rotation.

Yelp
Starfish Laguna is situated near the southern end of Laguna Beach; nestled in a quaint strip mall. There's plenty of parking. The ambiance is moody and dark inside the restaurant. The dining room is dimly lit and the tables and chairs are a bit on the smaller side giving an intimate feel to the experience. However, sometimes you do feel like there's not enough room to really eat as the space between tables is very little. You are a lot of times right up against strangers behind you at another table. There is a large bar in the middle of the restaurant where solo diners can eat if you choose. The service is pretty standard. All the staff is helpful and they answer any questions you may have about the menu or restaurant. I loved all their scallop dishes. You can tell this restaurant is right by the ocean by the freshness of the scallops. Also give the sea bass a try. As per pricing, expect it to be around $50 per person if you get apps and a main.

Yelp
We hadn't been to this restaurant in over 2 years so when some friends were visiting from out of town we decided to take them here for dinner. Still the same. Excellent food, great service and lovely ambience. Drinks were well prepared. The drunken noodles, the schezuan prawns, the red chicken curry were all excellent. The wok tossed mussels and the edamame were superb. Didn't care for the tapioca mango dessert though. A mango and sticky rice on the menu would be a great addition. Overall an amazing experience.

Yelp
I forgot to check in here earlier today. I had the best waitress, her name is Leslie, she is amazing! I had the shrimp with lettuce cups and the gluten-free calamari. I sat outside and enjoyed the cloudy weather Excellent!

Yelp
My partner surprised me by taking me here for happy hour. We hadn't been in so long, so it was great coming here to try it again. I love the atmosphere inside and how nice our servers were. As for the food, this is what we ordered: Pan Fried Pork Dumplings - 8/10 Very flavorful and fried really well while still maintaining the softness of the wrapper, but didn't blow me away. Banh Mi Black Bean Sliders - 10/10 We absolutely loved these. These were bursting with flavor and the meat was really well cooked. Chili Fire Wontons - 8/10 My bf and I can do spicy but these definitely were SPICY. They weren't joking with the word fire. The flavor was really good, but I'll admit I had to stop after one and a half dumpling because I was kinda dying. Ahi Poke Taro Bites - 9/10 Really can't go wrong with these. Great flavor and textures and good quality fish. This is a great date location in Laguna Beach. While it can be a pain to get to, happy hour is definitely worth it.

Yelp
Another wonderful experience at Starfish! I brought my parents and little brother and everyone loved the food/opium hour cocktails! The staff was so understanding and accommodating for removing a chair at the table for my brother's wheelchair. It's so nice for my parents to have a new happy hour spot that is also wheelchair accessible! Thank you guys for a fabulous experience!!

Yelp
First of all, beautiful restaurant. The dishes were like sculptures. The service was knowledgeable and very accommodating. If you love cilantro, you are in luck because almost every dish includes it. If not, ask your server before you order. We had a few issues but the end result was favorable and we left full and happy. Recommended after a day in Laguna beach.

Yelp
Great spot for happy hour. I enjoyed two vodka-based cocktails, the Starfish Cooler and the Zen Tea, while friends enjoyed other cocktails, including the whiskey cocktails. The drinks are half-off at happy hour! For food, there's a big happy hour (called Opium Hour) menu and we ordered 6 items among the 4 of us. The beef banh mi sliders and Korean tacos came out first. Both dishes had heaping amounts of cabbage. I really enjoyed the slider, but didn't try the Korean tacos. Friends tried the calamari and weren't sure about the Korean-inspired sauces to go with it, but eventually got used to them. I shared the Sunset Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll with my boyfriend and those were my favorites. The restaurant was dimly lit with a large bar. We were there from 3-5pm, and by the time we were leaving it was very loud and packed.

Yelp
Our Uber drivers recommended eating at this place after enjoying some drinks over at Montage. We got seated by the bar since everything else was reserved and we didn't want to wait. Lighting was low and perfect for date nights. I'm very disappointed with their Crab Mango Noodle Salad. I barely tasted any crab. Perhaps I ordered the wrong menu item, or they ran out of crabs, but it's definitely not worth the $25!

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for a new place to celebrate our 14th anniversary. The food looks good and overall it has good reviews so we made reservations for 8:30pm. We arrived on time but the hostess said a big party will be leaving soon so a table won't be ready til then. A coupe of minutes after she said that, a party of 4 walked in the door and was seated right away! After being seated, we waited about 15-20min b4 a server finally came to take our order. My order came out wrong so they had to take it back to fix it. Overall the food tasted bland and the service was horrible! We came to celebrate but our experience at Starfish ruined it.

Yelp
We came here for dinner and I really enjoyed the wonton soup and dumplings, overall the food was very delicious. I also ordered a green tea cocktail which was good but not mixed very well so my first sip was not pleasant. It's very dark in the restaurant and was a little loud. The service was good and our waitress was nice, food came out pretty quickly. I would come back and try more of their menu items.

Yelp
Not sure why I haven't been to this restaurant sooner. The food was amazing and their service was even better. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, and I can't say any of the dishes were bad. This location is bigger than their Newport location, and the atmosphere is fun. Perfect spot for a date night or just to get together with friends!

Yelp
I was drawn into Starfish by their "Opium" Happy Hour and it did not disappoint. We ordered around 4 of their items, and all were incredibly tasty. The aesthetic was unique and lively. But, by far, my favorite part of my experience was the service. Everyone was very nice and helpful, but our own table's server was very welcoming and talkative. She answered all of my many questions about the menu. In terms of parking, it's situated in a shopping center across Treasure Island Beach.

Yelp
We came here for happy hour. Kia was our server and was wonderful! My favorite sushi order is the lobster roll, I also really enjoyed the crab wontons. Would highly recommend their happy hour daily from 3-6 pm. But again, thank you Kia for the amazing service!

Yelp
It's been a while since I've visited Starfish, being that I moved from OC to LA 5 years ago. Some friends and I had to evacuate our homes from the LA fires, and I recommended Starfish for dinner once we arrived. Couldn't have had a better experience, and it was all thanks to our amazing server, Leslie. Not only are the food and drinks delicious and refreshing, but if you are lucky enough to have Leslie as your server, you are guaranteed exquisite service, great recommendations, and fun for all. Thank you, Leslie, for bringing light to our lives during this otherwise dark time. We will be back!

Yelp
I am not going to lie I was contacted and given a gc to give them a second chance and was instructed to let them know I would be coming in. I did not tell them since I wanted an authentic visit without special treatment. I am going to say that I was nervous but am so happy I have this place a second chance. I ordered the zen tea and this was actually mixed not just straight alcohol like last time. The green beans were flavorful but honestly the star of the dish was the white onions . The beef sliders were a good size and well seasoned. The drunken noodles perfect just like last time. The sunset roll was delectable with actual crab. My experience is 50/50 but I am willing to say that the first night had to be a fluke because this time around everything was amazing. I'm a happy girl! Also the patio was way better no one touched me with their foot

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurant's in Laguna Beach. My favorite dish is the Candied dragon prawns, with coconut rice. My friend group and family are huge fans. I like their small plates too, great chef. Their Ambiance has a nice quiet upscale vibe, yet you don't have to dress up (it's Laguna Beach). I highly recommend Starfish.

Yelp
Incredible sushi rolls that I dream of!! The Sunset Roll was my absolute favorite but the Lobster Macadamia was interesting too and had a great nutty flavor! The Chili Fire Wontons were absolutely to die for and the Enlightenment was the perfect blend of pomegranate to liquor ratio! The service is always fast & great and the ambiance is chic and swanky! Great spot for a date, elevated dinner with friends, or even business dinner!

Yelp
My husband and I visited here for OC restaurant week a few weeks ago. I had zero expectations and I'll say the best thing we had were the drinks. Lol...in all honesty, the food was OK. Service was great, we had a very responsive and kind waitress who was very enthusiastic about the place. The decor is very dark and reminds me of old Chinese movies. They also have something called Opium Hour which is just Happy Hour which apparently has great deals. Maybe we'd come back for that but otherwise probably a one time visit!

Yelp
After a nice day at Legoland, we decided to give this place a second chance on our way home. You see we've been here before about seven months ago. Our experience was subpar, and did not live up to the hype. If it wasn't for management contacting us after my first review, I probably would not have given this place a second chance for the competition is surrounding them and I always love exploring the hundreds of new places in OC. From the moment we were seated and met the manager, Kailey, the story of redemption begins. I don't know if we didn't order right that first time we dined! Or sitting outside further away from the ambience was what didn't help. All I know is the recommendations and the food that we ate was not only memorable but outstanding! please see pictures to view our orders. We will definitely be back Thank you

Yelp
Came in for a reservation and the more tenured hostess seemed to have an attitude problem. Admittedly we came during a busy time, at the end of happy hour, but it was our first impression of the restaurant. We waited 30 mins for a table after our reservation. Food was 10/10 and Leslie was 100/10 but that initial interaction unfortunately left a bad taste.

Yelp
First time here for lunch. It was fabulous Brandon was our server and he helped us make good choices with food allergies and other issues. He was kind and responsive. Each one of our entrees were fabulous. Ahi salad, lettuce wraps and OG spring roll. I will definitely be coming back. Prices were good. Ambiance on the patio was great.

Yelp
Everything was tasty! We ordered the seafood curry and beef and chicken entrees with our out of town guests The quantities of 2 dishes per order were sufficient for a group of 7 of us and there was much leftover food aswell Recommended place for Thai food enthusiasts

Yelp
Came back for restaurant week and experience was very similar to last year with hit or miss dishes, but good service. The miso cod was tasty but the quality of fish could have been better. The spicy tuna roll was a winner, as was the candy dragon prawns. Flourless chocolate cake was decent with a good scoop of ice cream on the side. My friends were not impressed with the lobster macadamia roll, but drunken noodles were good. My biggest complaint is how cramped the space is and noisy, so if possible ask for a booth in the way back that is separated from the main space.

Yelp
Overall food Style: sweet, heavy, a little bit spicy. The vibe: dark, a bit crowded tables. (2 person table can't really fit 4 dishes.). Service: overall it's fine. We spent like more than 5 mins trying to get the server's attention for check tho. . ( told another server to get our server over, but he just ended up doing something else. ‍). The price of the food is fairly cheap I would say. Would recommend give it a try.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. I believe our server's name was Margarita (hopefully I got it right), she deserves a big shout out for her friendly, helpful, and prompt service. The food: The Sunset sushi was the favorite. great flavor and portion. 5/5 stars! The calamari was very good, it needed a bit more heat and seasoning. 4/5 stars The Korean Tacos were OK, I wish it wasn't on the sweet side. Also there's a really big portion of pickled cabbage compared to the beef (three times more) so the flavor and texture overpowers the beef. 3.5/5 stars The crispy chicken spring roll was the least favorite, it was dry and had no flavor or any seasoning. Thought maybe the sauce on the side would balance it but it was just sweet and I didn't like at all. 1/5 stars and would not get it again. Overall the 2 non seafood items were not to our liking but we will definitely be back to try other menu items and update the review accordingly.

Yelp
Delicious food/cocktails and great for families. Service was nice and prompt as well. We sampled different plates, there were a couple that was just ok.
