I had an amazing 5-night stay at Starhotels ECHO in Milan and can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming — always ready to help with a smile. The level of service throughout my stay was consistently excellent. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with a comfortable atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. My room was spotless, well-equipped, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. One of the biggest highlights is the unbeatable location — just a short walk from Milano Centrale train station, which made getting around the city (and beyond) super easy and convenient. Overall, Starhotels ECHO delivered comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Milan!

We enjoyed 2 nights at this very smart, modern hotel. It's handy for the main station. There are a few nice bars/cafes nearby. Our room was very comfortable & stylish. Good quality linens and nice big towels. Efficient air-con. Decent size bathroom with good shower. Public areas are very contemporary and smart. Staff are very efficient and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a very comfortable stay in Milan.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded our initial expectations and left us with the best impressions of the hotel and its staff. From the moment we checked in we felt comfortable and secure, the staff was friendly and always greeted us with a smile, not to mention the cleanliness of our room and the hotel as a whole. The breakfast was varied and fresh, and the hotel’s location is favorable because of transport to other places in Milan and outside of it. Having a nice, clean room after a long day of walking definitely improved our stay. We definitely recommend this hotel for all those looking for a great price-to-quality ratio and those not wishing to bother with the metro stations too much. Seriously, everything seems close when your starting point is near the Milano Centrale - the train, the bus, and the metro are all less than 200m away. Highly recommend!

Perfect location right next to Milano Centrale. Rooms are stylish, clean, and eco-friendly. Staff were helpful, check-in was smooth, and the vibe is calm and professional. Great spot for a short stay or business trip. Only downside some rooms are a bit small. Would stay again for the convenience alone.

Our party of 7 stayed in 4 rooms on an overnight to Milan, this hotel is within walking distance of the train station which was important to us. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. We had lunch at the sister hotel across the street and food was very good but service quite slow as we were in between meals. Our rooms were simple, very clean and updated. Wonderful sheets and bedding. Bathroom huge in comparison to most European hotels. Our only disappointment was the runny scrambled eggs at breakfast and soft boiled eggs not warm (hard boiled would have been better chilled), the evening bar service was very nice where the bartender took great pride in his apple martini and other special cocktails. It is a 20-25 minute walk to the water and 10min to some good restaurants. Would stay here again!

Very well located, but this remains the only quality of a hotel which should be a bit more attentive with the guests. Just checked in, 1/2 hour later than announced, and the room still not ready. Fine, we wait. But we didn't appreciate the used teabag in the kettle as a welcome gift. No water, no frigobar or a minifridge, not a comfortable hotel at all. Not for that price.

We had a fantastic stay at Starhotels E.c.ho.! We booked two connecting rooms and were impressed by how modern, luxurious, and comfortable they were, everything felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, but a special shoutout goes to Mai Mai, the breakfast waitress, whose warm and attentive service made our mornings extra special. Her latte art was beautiful and truly showed the care she puts into her work. We had a wonderful experience overall and will definitely be coming back on our next visit! Highly recommend.

Overall the hotel is quite nice and it’s perfectly located next to the train station. Unfortunately we encountered some (avoidable) issues which made the stay unsatisfactory. ||We arrived at 1230 and checkin officially starts at 1500. I was on crutches and ideally needed somewhere to rest so we were sold a “discounted upgrade” to a higher room category for 40 Euros. If that was a higher room category then I’d hate to see the original one…. It was small, dusty and the aircon was pretty poor.||Worst of all we discovered at 5am that the blackout curtains don’t actually cover all of the window (and they were ripped) - so we were woken up by the sun. See photo. So the most important thing in a hotel (ie sleep) was not achieved. ||Tried to have some lunch at the hotel restaurant but told the restaurant was not open due to a large conference being in the hotel. Made to feel like this was OUR fault by the staff!! Eventually they let us eat something from the (limited) bar menu.||Breakfast is ok, not amazing. Edible. ||Shower gel dispenser empty in bathroom - such a basic thing to check by housekeeping. ||Raised my feedback with reception at checkout. Their response? Timid apology and they knocked off the 3-4 Euros for chocolate from the minibar. Insulting outcome. Would not return here.

Yelp
This is a very well appointed, maintained, and managed hotel. The rooms are quite comfortable and spacious. The beds are firm with nice sheets and covers. The AC system is extremely quiet with good controls. The free breakfast is a cut above typical with one of the nicest indoor and outdoor dining and bar areas. Service was excellent. My room was near the street corner of the second floor, so it was a bit noisy at night. Conveniently located near the main train station it's not in the best neighborhood but felt safe. The elevators functioned well, but the description of what was on the floors impossible to read, and there are no card readers to limit access to the floors.

Yelp
for the price, it's a decent hotel. The room are small, dark, and the views are not great. the customer service is decent. The restaurant is not great, but it's not bad either. The area however, is pretty good. you're near a major shopping center and close enough to various sightseeing areas. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, I think for the price it's a good value. Would be a good hotel to stay in for a work trip.

Yelp
Clean and modern atmosphere with a comfy vibe. Loved the pillow menu too! If you're a tourist, it's a bit far from attractions, although the train station is right next door. We purchased the breakfast buffet option and honestly it was a huge let-down. A lot of the breakfast items had run out and were not replenished, eggs had gone absolutely rancid, and minimal options overall. Staff was not helpful at all. You're better off with restaurants nearby.

Yelp
The convenience from Milan central station and the modern decor is amazing. The friend reception was an added plus. Had upgraded to a suite with balcony facing the station. Yes! There is a balcony in all rooms. I definitely recommend for travelers looking to utilize the trains to go to other parts of Italy. PS: free slippers, WiFi, bottle water and illy espresso machine.

Yelp
If you're well traveled and know how to protect yourself from silly scammers (more specifically the ones you read about at Central Station), this is an excellent hotel to stay at if you plan on having a multi-city vacation or want to stay close to the Central Station. It is literally across the street from the station, which makes it incredibly accessible to the trains and also the metro. If you want a more touristy vacation, then consider staying elsewhere such as near the Duomo. Aside from that, the hotel itself is really safe around it. Many business travelers come here and the front desk is fluent in English. We had no issues checking in with Expedia reservations. Be sure to ask for your wireless passwords, if you are buying it or if it is included in your reservation. You will need to log on every time you return to the room and it lasts for 24 hours. The Junior Suite is a good room, but a little oddly laid out. The bathroom shower stall is also EXTREMELY tiny; my husband could barely move around let alone spin, so if you get easily claustrophobic despite being in this suite, it will be small. The rest of the bathroom is spacious and well done (well lit mirror for makeup, bidet, heated towel rack). During our second stay here, we were upgraded free of charge to the Suite. WHAT A ROOM. If you have flexibility in room types, definitely get this one. It includes a terrace that overlooks Central station. The room lets in a lot of sunlight and has a ton of living room space. Even more, the bathroom has a full tub and plenty of room. The only downside and caution is that the tub has a half swinging glass door; it looks like it is secured, but it SWINGS. Beware, as both of us nearly fell out of the tub when we leaned on it. I wish they put up signs as this is a HUGE HAZARD. The gym is almost always empty, and only contains one treadmill. The elliptical was old and very difficult to use. The biciycle works just fine. There are assorted weights and one lifting machine. Inside the gym there is a bathroom and free drinking water. It also is completely surrounded in glass and you get a view of Central Station. We had big bottles of water appear in our room during both stays, but were unsure if they were free. Only minor hiccup was our card not working a couple of times for our room. Otherwise, the housekeeping was on point and cleaned our room literally every time we left the room. We left things scattered and nothing was ever taken. Breakfast is large, and you have choices of egg/bacon/sausage links as hot food items, a bunch of fresh baked goods and salad/fruits. There were also fruit juices and bottled water. Ask a waiter for coffee if you want some. Check out is effortless, and you will need to pay daily city taxes.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. Very conveniently located next to the train station and many great restaurants. The staff provided excellent customer service. The rooms are spacious and recently renovated. Will definitely come back!!

Yelp
Our stay was really good! The hotel could not be closer from the train station, so super convenient. Our check in was super slow! That is why I can not rate it with 5 stars. Everything is new and modern, the atmosphere makes you want to stay in your room and not even leave for a little shopping trip. 40 min walk from the center - awesome! Really enjoyed my stay!

Yelp
We arrived in Milan to celebrate New Years Eve 2013. Apparently the Milanese know how to party and I wanted to share a little of their excitement, The star echo hotel is fabulously located opposite the central station, which was perfect as we arrived and left by train. Couldn't be easier. Getting to the main touristic part of town - the Duomo - was a short metro trip away and again super easy. The hotel is lovely. The rooms are not as large as those as in other European cities but more than sufficient. I particularly liked the simple and stylish furnishings, but as this is Milan I would have expected nothing less. A couple of gripes. Wifi isn't included and must be purchased on a daily or hourly basis. This is a little ridiculous for a four star hotel. Breakfast was a lovely spread and the dining room very comfortable, but a key to a good continental breakfast is hot eggs. Cold eggs simply don't hit the spot. Small things I know, but it is the little things that count. Regardless, I very much enjoyed my stay and look forward to a return to Milan. Hopefully. Happy new year!

Yelp
Modern, Clean, Easy, Nice Staff, walking distance to restaurants and attractions. The Hotel is across the street from the Train station. Booked here last minute and couldn't be happier, thanks again!

Yelp
A bit below the bar for a four star hotel. Pros: - clean spacious rooms - proximity to train station - spacious lounge with comfortable seating Cons: - glacially slow checkin: took about a half hour waiting in the queue, where each guest checkin took up to ten minutes - broken shower: my standing shower actually accumulated water faster than it drained - unclean gym: nice, modern equipment but there's spiders hidden in the nooks and crannies - gave me a nasty surprise when I tried to do a pull down

Yelp
This is a great hotel to stay in in Milan, especially if you're taking the train or coming from the airport. It's stylish, clean and comfortable, and located directly across from the Milan train station. It's easily accessible from the airports if you take an airport bus that drops you at the train station. I was a big fan of the room service menu at this hotel - the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Breakfast in the morning was included in my rate and it had a wide range of options. The wi-fi was fast, but the connection process was annoying. The hotel employees were very helpful and managed to grant all of my requests. I would definitely stay at this hotel again - the area may not have been the prettiest, but you can't beat the price, convenience of location, decor and comfort.

Yelp
Had a great stay. Perfect location next to Central Station. Hotel was clean, modern, and again good location. A bit expense. Bonus: nice, clean, updated gym, small but was like having a personal home gym to yourself.
