As a Logitech employee, I've been staying at the Starling at least 2-3X per year since early 2021. I had noted a decline in service through last year, punctuated by an early dinner in May or June 2024 with a colleague during which she received her pasta and I never received my chicken sandwich despite asking for it 2X and diners around me being served chicken sandwiches. During my stay this week, I noted improvement. The diningroom was properly staffed with professionals, the front desk staff seemed to know how to use the computer applications. The only 2 snafus was 1) that despite putting the red no-cleaning sign on doorknob, housekeeping serviced room. While doing so, they 2) took away the ice bucket I requested b/c the refrigerator in the room did not work. Even after I plugged it in, tried the dial at 1 and at 5, left the master power on in the room with the plastic key when I left the room. I mentioned to a couple of Logitech colleagues that it seems like some improvements have been implemented.

Stayed here for 2 nights as this hotel is very close to business school. It looks modern and well established. Easy check in/out with friendly and helpful services from the staffs. Room is excellent, spacious and luxurious feel. Come with pillow choices as well. Very comfortable for good night sleep.|Another big plus is the parking. Not sure if convenient without cars. |Breakfast is so-so. I think it can be better given the high standard it is projecting. Dinner is good, close to fine dining prices but not exactly justify that with the environment. Great service nonetheless.|They also offer free shuttles should you need to go to central. Much needed for those without cars.|All in all, it is great for short stay!

The most helpful and kind team of people that I have ever experience in a hotel. The hotel manager currently drove me to the exhibition because it was raining. The hotel is adjacent to the main bus routes between the train station and the city centre and buses are almost continuous. The food was excellent, and the staff just incredibly brilliant. I definitely recommend.

The hotel is conveniently located and my room was spotlessly clean, with lovely pillows.|There was an oddity though with the cloakroom area light going on by itself in the middle of the night (impossible to turn off manually - just had to wait several minutes). The choice of teas in the room seemed a bit stingy: 2 tea bags only and no milk.|Shockingly, the only cups and glasses in the room were paper/plastic. You'd think that a 4-star hotel with its own restaurant could manage to provide real, glass or earthenware ones, particularly as the hotel claims to be committed to high environmental standards.

We stayed in the family room. The glass doors in the toilet and shower were a bit uncomfortable. They were closing very loudly. If we had known this beforehand, we would not have chosen this room. The hotel was a little far from the metro station. Everything else was perfect. Air conditioning worked perfectly. It was working hard enough without catching a cold. The hotel was very clean. The room had an excellent design. Checking in and out was easy. The staff were excellent.

Good environment. Good size room. Bedsheets come with slight black stain. Breakfast is the same every day. Horrible front desk service. Worst experience ever in my numerous trips to Switzerland and staying in different hotels. Requested reception to help book taxi to train station for early morning train to airport 2 days before departure. Reminded them evening before and was assured it has been done. Come time of pickup and no taxi came. Checked with reception and he said need to wait for taxi company to call back and need at least 20 minutes!! Requested him to expedite and he asked me to book uber myself!!!! Installed uber and got myself a vehicle and just in time for the train. Speechless

The rooms are modern and clean, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Highly recommended for business travelers!”

I recently stayed at the Starling Hotel Lausanne, and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. From the moment I arrived, the service was below expectations. The check-in process was slow, and the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping. The room itself was outdated and poorly maintained. The furniture looked tired, and there were several stains on the carpet. I also had trouble with the air conditioning, which either blasted cold air or didn’t work at all. Despite requesting assistance, nothing was done to fix the issue during my stay. The hotel’s amenities were also underwhelming. The supposed “luxury” spa was just a small, cramped area with no privacy, and the fitness center was poorly equipped. I also found the restaurant to be overpriced, with mediocre food that didn’t live up to the hotel's claimed standards. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience at Starling Hotel Lausanne. It did not provide the level of comfort or service I was expecting from a hotel of this caliber. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay.
