Starling Hotel Residence Genève

It is a good budget hotel. The rooms are small, but they have AC. Important since it was 35+ every day we were there. Right next to a useful tram stop so though the immediate block isn't much, you can get anywhere easily.

I stayed at this hotel with my children, and I would definitely not recommend it for families. The rooms were extremely uncomfortable, and the bathroom had a horrible sewage smell that spread throughout the entire room—it was absolutely unbearable. I reported the issue immediately, but nothing was done. Only when they saw I was checking out did they offer to move us to a different room, which was far too late.||To make matters worse, there’s no elevator access from the ground floor, so we had to carry all our luggage up half a flight of stairs just to reach the lift. Also, during the summer, the air conditioning is completely inadequate—the room never cooled down, making our stay even more unpleasant.||Overall, a very disappointing experience. This is definitely not a family-friendly hotel.

I stayed at Starling Hotel Residence in Geneva in June 2024 with my daughter as part of a Euro educational tour. The hotel was okay and served its purpose, as we were travelling with other students on a budget-friendly trip.||However, I was disappointed by their linen change policy, which states that bed linen is changed only every five days. We stayed for seven days, and our room was not cleaned at all during our stay. ||On a positive note, the shower was amazing! Since it was early summer, the consistent supply of hot water was greatly appreciated.||Overall, the hotel is average and caters well to student budgets, though I still found it quite expensive—which is generally the case in Switzerland.

Great location, really good connections and nice surrounding area. The rooms are not very soundproof with noise leaking in from outside and inside the hotel. Otherwise the room was fine. Friendly staff.

Well located, across the street from Acacias tram, about 6-7 stops from the Geneva train station, excellent room, fridge, little eating area, great shower, super friendly and helpful staff, an amazing experience, close to grocery store, launder mat (tap), many restaurants, highly recommend it

Great hotel in good location, clean, honest and with excellent service. Trams right in front of the door brings you everywhere. My room was spacious and had a small kitchen and everything else I needed. A good stay at fair prices, very centrally located

Nice clean room,it has everything you need. Breakfast is good. The staff is super friendly. The hotel is located slightly outside of the city center, but the tram stops right in front of the hotel. As all tourists get a free pubic transportation card, you'll be at Geneva Central Station within 15-20 minutes. I'd definitely book here again!

This is a no frill residence hotel. Obviously designed with business travellers in mind, the only real drawback is its location on the very un romantic Route des Acacias, which feels like Bulgaria in the 1950's. Would go back for a short duration.
