Best food in Puerto Viejo! The food here is absolutely delicious! You choose your sauce and what meat/fish/veg you want with it. I would recommend the Thai peanut sauce if you prefer less heat and the Jerk one if you like it spicy. They were both AMAZING The passionfruit cheesecake is to die for The staff were really friendly and told us their catch of the day and specials. It’s not the cheapest but definitely worth it for a treat! Highly recommend 5 stars from us!

This was our best meal in Puerto Viejo! We would highly recommend the shrimp pad Thai and tandoori coconut chicken. For an appetizer, choose the toasted garlic with bread. You will not be disappointed!

Friendliest service, great food and the best passionfruit "smoothie" in my life. Such a refreshing experience, thank you! Nearly all main dishes are vegan possible. Thanks for that, my girl loved it too :)

Stashu’s is justifiably proud of the amazing view of the bay from their second floor; the views of the sunsets are spectacular. But as beautiful as the view is, the real star here is the amazing food. We had two fabulous dinners there during our three weeks in Puerto Viejo, and both were fantastic. They focus on fresh seafood bathed in luscious sauces that incorporate flavours from a variety of cuisines: Thai; South Asian; and, Mexican to name a few. They also rock salads, and their desserts are fabulous as well. This is one of the more expensive restaurants in Puerto Viejo (*expensive by Costa Rican standards) but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

The Butter chicken should be called peanut butter chicken, and the chipotle chicken tasted like bad barbecue chicken with no spice whatsoever… I don’t like to leave terrible reviews for places but this was the worst food I have had in this entire town, the chicken tastes unseasoned before dumping a heaping scoop of bland sauce on top of it. It was simply terrible, for $15 (USD) a plate take your money elsewhere. I couldn’t recommend this place less… so disappointed. (Edited in a picture to show the laughable presentation of what looks like a middle schooler threw this together) & yes we took home the food so we did not waste it, and had to create a new dish that was much more enjoyable after repurposing it… we saw another comment say that when they told you the food was not good, all you said to them was “everyone loves our food here” which would have made the experience even worse… so im glad we gave the generic response of everything’s good. So I didn’t have to experience that as well.

Incredible. The flavors are amazing, every dish was delicious and left us wanting more. Lovely handcrafted cocktails— the spicy mango margarita is top notch, as well as the special cocktail, a ginger star fruit mojito! YUM. We started with the muscles and spicy plantains, both were great. Our server handled our 6 top with ease, and the ocean breeze and waves added to the ambiance. If we lived here, we would be here all the time. Honestly sad we didn’t try it sooner! Thank you to everyone for a meal we will always remember!

Absolutely stunning fusion of Caribbean, Tico, and Chinese, Indian food with delicious cocktails and a great sunset view. It is slightly off the Main Street so it was quite and peaceful. We tried the spicy mango cocktail and Jamaican margarita which were both tasty. I felt the value was good for the cocktail. For food I had the tamarindo sauce chicken. Yummy. Spicy and flavorful. My wife has the Caribbean Pad Thai which wasn’t her favorite. Not bad just 6/10. Couldn’t figure out what was different about their version. Maybe they could put a description on the menu. We also has spicy curry plantain which was out of this world good! We’d go back.

Amazing place where you can enjoy from a beautiful sunset. Food and drinks are great, but they are a little bit expensive. The owner was super kind and had the attention of decorating my table because that day was my birthday. It's located on the first floor so it's difficult for people on wheelchair to get there. Have your precautions. I recommend it.
