For our last night in Paige we stopped in here and had dinner. We arrived shortly before 5:30 and we were able to get a table. The staff was friendly, service was a little slow. However, they were busy. We had a burger and salad. Both were very good. The burger came.out hot and was delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty. There is plenty of parking out front, so that should not be a concern. If you get a chance stop in.

We had a great experience at State 48! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had the mac & cheese with pulled pork – it was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Truly delicious! We also tried the ribeye steak with fries, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. State 48 is definitely a great place to visit if you’re in Page. Highly recommended for both the food and the atmosphere!

Google
We ordered the Mac n cheese with boneless chicken, burger, caprese salad with salmon. Food was ok. The burger patty was thin and on the dry side. The Mac and cheese portion was big and we couldn’t finish it and it cost $20. The caprese salad with salmon was the best of the three items we ordered.

Always like to visit local eateries when traveling & this is a great place. The Angus sliders were fantastic, as was the Mac & cheese & sweet potato fries. The brownie with ice cream was huge, easily could be shared by 2-3 people. It is a very dark chocolate brownie. Great beer selection as well.

Google
We had excellent service. Food came out hot. Staff was friendly and efficient. Smash burger was very good, delicious. Place fills up quickly at dinner service but the wait didn’t take too long and it was all very good. I preferred the burger over the prime rib sandwich (chili steak melt) but it was still very good.

Google
Excellent local tavern. We ate here on a Monday night while visiting Page. Totally packed when we got here, got seated right away but busy place. Local gem. Would definitely recommend. Had the goat cheese and walnut salad and chicken quesadillas. Also tried their signature pomegranate coconut mojito.

Stopped by during the weekend around 6pm and there was no wait. Sat in the restaurant area instead of the bar area, which is fine because it was quiet and had that side to ourselves until we got our food. Food quality was good and the portions were great, but for the price I've just had better elsewhere is all. Service was quick and kept our drinks full.

Google
We are in the area just for 3 days. Found this place online. I had the chicken quesidilla appetizer and fries. My husband had the smash burger with cheese and fries. We were disappointed they no longer serve their famous beer batter fried avacados, our food was all excellent, especially the fries! Our waitress, Paige, was charming and helpful with a couple of odd area things, like the crazy time zone challenge.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Friendly service. Ambiance was chill and cozy. The spicy Asian burger was fire, per my husband.

Yelp
I came here for dinner since they had decent reviews on all platforms. I have to say, I was not that impressed with the food. We ordered Jamaican Jerk chicken wings, deep fried avocado, and 2 burgers. I personally had the cowboy burger, and that was good, but nothing amazing. The BBQ sauce on it was good, though. The side of sweet potato fries were soggy and very salty. I barely ate them. The chicken wings were also very salty, and the meat was dry. The deep fried avocado saved the evening. The crispy outside with the nicely textured avocado on the inside. I do recommend this appetizer. I probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area again. I would want to try somewhere else. 2.5 stars. Not a 2, so I will give 3.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I got the pulled pork Mac n cheese, a little bit greasy but still tasted great. Also the portion of the Mac n cheese was fantastic. The bathroom however stunk and smelt like sulfur. It was hard to even be in to wash your hands. The service was great and soups and salads tasted good too.

Yelp
45 minutes of waiting. $14 a burger, and what you get at the end of it is total s...t. They only look after their regulars. Don't be fooled by rating. Go to McDonald's, it is far far better and faster.
google avatar

Yelp
Passing thru town and felt the itch for some hearty all America food. The cowboy burger was excellent, fries were MEH. The fried avocados looked great on the menus, but in reality was over-battered and also very MEH. Overall a good experience and hearty eats

Yelp
Our server Joy, was very sweet and accommodating- we really appreciated her willingness to make honey mustard when they didn't have it, and her offer to bring an extra plate for my parents who shared a meal. The interior is super cute with photographs of the area by local artists that are available for purchase. We had the cowboy burger, which was huge. Pretty sure I needed to unhinge my jaw like a snake to eat that thing. It was very tasty with perfectly cooked bacon and a sweet bbq sauce. The sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned. I had the avocado and bean tacos. They were ok, but I finally squeezed the lemon on them that they were served with and OMG- it really brought out the flavor. Don't be like me. Squeeze the lemon on the tacos first thing. Overall, great food and great service and I would recommend!
google avatar

Teri N.

Yelp
Service was a little slow but still ok. The tacos were very tasty and the seasoned fries were crispy and delicious.

Yelp
We waited an hour for a mediocre steak and pork chop with overcooked veggies. It's expensive for not so good food. The place was busy when we visited but there was no welcoming atmosphere. Waiters were almost running, their kitchen was messy and their restroom has potential to be neat. We were not happy about our food that we waited for an hour and the price they charged for the food.

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite place to go in Page. The service is always great, food comes out in a timely manner, and the drinks are made to perfection. They have several tv's and a projector if you want to catch a game. They also have live music on occasion. It's great for families as well as the single traveler who can chill at the bar and enjoy making new friends. You can sit outside on the front patio and watch the sunset behind the vermillion cliffs. There's also a dart board, if that's your thing. I've been everywhere in town, and this place has the best vibe. Also, the owner is a great lay. 10/10 would recommend.
google avatar

Andrea J.

Yelp
The food was not spectacular and not hot. I got the cowboy burger and it was warm. My side of black beans was cold. The bacon wasn't cooked well. My husband got surf and turf. The steak was cooked correctly, but the rest was meh. I would not come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great outdoor seating. Awesome mountains here. Lots of sports. Everybody's really nice. Great service. Lots of options. Some good wines good food. Great place Chris. The server was awesome.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Well....it was all mediocre. The steak was juicy when cutting but dry when you ate it. My daughter wouldn't eat it. It was also over done (suppose to be med rare..she said it was okay). She liked the fries. My cowboy burger was okay for my liking. Too much salt. Best part of the burger...the onion rings on top. The cesar salad wasn't good either. Our server also let us sit there for almost 10 minutes before acknowledging us. She had been delivering food next to our table and didn't bothering greeting us and they weren't even busy. Disappointing based on their rating. Overall it was somewhere I wouldn't visit or recommend

Yelp
The cocktail at 48 Tavern was so mind blowing that we didn't mind the 40 min wait. The menu had decent veggie options and the best was the sweet potato appetiser and the veggie tacos. We loved them so much that we forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered. If you are vegetarian and looking for an option around page, this is a pretty decent one. I strongly recommend this place!

Yelp
When this restaurant first opened, I gave it a rave review. It slid downhill for a little while, but it is back. The service couldn't have been better and the food was outstanding! If you tried it during it's downturn, come back and give it another chance. You'll be glad you did! I highly recommend the shrimp tacos with some of the Locals hot sauce.

Yelp
After a long day of hiking in the area, we surely needed to fuel ourselves and this was the place we chose to go, our server was Joy what a great experience we had thanks to her, so they don't have any chicken sandwiches and I am picky about meat, she suggested to substitute one of the burger's angus beef to grilled chicken breast, atmosphere was amazing, food was great and seriously that fried avocado appetizer is mind blowing , had a side of ranch and Joy suggested the spicy ranch which we got, had a smoky flavor to it, (loved it)our dessert was super delicious too, would love to come back for sure! 1- beer battered avocados 2- smash burger(one with chicken breast other with angus beef).

Yelp
This was a good place to eat- not a ton of vegetarian options but enough to choose from. I had the black bean tacos with deep fried avocado and a slaw on top and pico as well. It was good. The lime in the avocado coating was really yummy. The slaw wasn't real flavorful- but it's a good contrast to the main tacos. Also had onion rings- those were good ones!! A nice crunchy coating. Not too thick. My sisters salad and chicken was fine - basic but tasty. The waitress was great, the kitchen was not speedy but they had a full house. We wait at a nice table outside. Overall it was good.

Michael K.

Yelp
Everything was fine but not great- food was good but was not very warm- service wasn't bad - the servers were very pleasant and seemed to support each other which was needed. We were visiting town for the first time and selected them based on the menu and rating - the wife and myself agree that State 48 was OK - but not 4 stars.

Yelp
Holy cow. For amazing beers on tap and food to die for, highly recommend State 48 Tavern. We were exhausted and ate at our hotel restaurant then came here next day to make up for the disappointment of a meal. My friend loved her burger and my avocado tacos were amazing. I was so happy to see some vegetarian friendly options.
google avatar

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
Not a great experience, atmosphere sketchy, my business partner had the prime rib, kinda dry. Both of us were served baked potatoes that were not hot, wouldn't melt the butter. They brought us new ones, exactly the same, could have just tossed in the microwave, but nope. My sirloin was done correctly and had a nice flavor, but how hard is it to serve a hot potato?
google avatar

April E.

Yelp
The service was on point, the drinks were tasty, even the other customers were friendly and we had a great time! The ambiance was nice. Not blindingly bright like the ridiculous Grand Canyon Brewery down the street. Every time I'm back in Page I'll get my drinks at the State 48!

Yelp
Came here for a quick, small dinner after an eventful day and a big lunch. Our party of 4 were seated right away. State 48 Tavern is located right next to an Ace's Hardware store. Location wise seems a bit weird. We had ordered a few things as well as some beers BEER BATTERED AVOCADOS served w/ housemade ranch dressing Was surprisingly good. Good to share STATE 48 WINGS (buffalo, bourbon BBQ, spicy asian, honey BBQ, or Jamaican jerk rub) We had tried the Jamaican jerk rub. Decent flavoring. Bit dry (seasoning is dry). Overall, not bad ANGUS BEEF SLIDERS w/ fresh angus beef, caramelized onions, pickles, cheddar cheese and house aioli served on potato buns Decent simple sliders. No complaints. Service was ok. Not bad pricing. Simple dinner and good view of the TV's for the football game.

Yelp
We came here about 5:30pm on a Monday in January. They appear to have a restaurant side and a bar side and we told the woman at the podium we were comfortable with either and she seated us in the bar. We immediately noticed the pallet style tables and cool industrial looking light fixtures. We were provided menus and immediately began looking them over. Our server came over and asked us if we had any questions and she was helpful in providing recommendations. My wife decided on the Strawberry Basil Salad with Grilled Chicken and I decided on the Cowboy Burger with Fries. This feels like a local restaurant and bar where there are a good amount of locals and probably a good amount of out-of-town visitors like us. Our food arrived quickly and looked yummy. My wife was impressed by her salad and really enjoyed it minus the fried brie croutons which she opted not to eat. She commented on how she had never thought about adding shredded coconut on a salad but thought it was great. I frequently order Cowboy Burgers in various restaurants and while this was good it was not mind blowing. The French fries were crunchy and I enjoyed them. Overall this is worth the stop!
google avatar

Yelp
I think this is one of the better options in Page. Servers were nice but food can out a little slow and might be hit or miss. Note, the burger patties are pretty thick. The menu says double patty smash burger, but it ended up being a bit too much meat for me as the balance was off. Good for some, less so for others, so just a heads up. The pulled pork sandwich was ok. A little dry but not too bad and the bbq sauce was good. All the sides we ordered were good, fries, onion rings, and the ginger slaw.

Yelp
This place is a good option, especially if you're looking for a sports bar with a larger group since they have booths, a bar, and long tables for larger parties. They have a projector that plays sporting games on the wall which can easily be viewed from far away. Food: -Beer battered avocados: We saw a lot of positive reviews for this and decided to try it. I'm happy we did! The avocado was nice and crunchy on the outside, didn't have too much breading, and the avocado on the inside was soft and smooth. It came with a side of ranch dipping sauce too which was a good combo. -Brie burger: I love Brie and I love burgers, so this burger option seemed perfect for me! The burgers are quite large (half pound burgers), so I didn't finish it all. Wasn't the best burger I've had since the meat could've been a little more tender and juicy, but overall it was still delicious. The side of sweet potato fries were also very yummy and crispy! Service: Good, quick service. We were seated immediately and our server was timely in taking our order and giving us our bill. We didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. Only thing I wasn't a huge fan of is the tin buckets on the table that hold the utensils had rust in the bottom, which didn't seem the cleanliest.
google avatar

Kellie A.

Yelp
The burgers were just okay, the fries and ranch were good, the onion rings were soggy, the service was fine but not exceptional, the vibe was nice. Overall, it was adequate.

Yelp
Cute place in Page, Az. Come earlier to avoid the rush. We arrived at around 6:30 pm on a Thursday during spring break and were seated immediately. By 7 pm there was a wait for tables. Service was friendly, thorough and prompt. Our group of 4 ordered the Cuban sandwich and fries (x2), pulled pork sandwich and a half order of the cranberry walnut salad with grilled chicken. Everything was delicious and the half salad was a perfect portion size. The mango jalapeño margarita was also delicious. Prices were reasonable. Decor was cute. We would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Great food great service! Must try the beer battered avocado as an appetizer, DELICIOUS!!

Yelp
This tavern is a rustic vibe came here after a day of hiking. My husband and I was super hungry. Came in and was greeted right away the wait was about 20 min. Since it's a bar we played darts, def a plus to have games to kill time. They had outdoor and indoor dining, we sat inside at one of the booths. I ordered a sunset mule and sliders I had one of each pork and angus beef. My husband ordered the steak which came with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sliders was good. Of course I had some of my husbands food and the steak was cooked really well. Check this place out if your in page the service was great food came out pretty fast. My only thing is my drink was mehh.

Mike M.

Yelp
very good place. went in for dinner. was greeted right away and seated. service was excellent. server was attentive and helpful. Food was very good. Burgers are good and theBBQ Mac and cheese was amazing. typical tavern atmosphere and was enjoyable.

Jaelyn A.

Yelp
The food was incredible, the drinks were phenomenal & the pricing is so fair. Visiting page for the weekend from Phoenix and we came here both nights for dinner after being blown away after the first. The owner is cooking, serving & taking orders along with his staff as well as checking in with every table. The food came out quickly, the restaurant itself is very nice. All the staff is friendly and I couldn't recommend this place more!! 10/10
google avatar

Narenda C.

Yelp
This place has plenty of parking so there's no issue there. We tried to make a reservation but they didn't allow this, not on the weekend anyway. I'm not sure about weekdays. We got here and it was very busy. We put our name down and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. In the mean time we got a drink at the bar and played some darts which was available indoors. It definitely got chilly so I wouldn't recommend waiting outside. After a certain amount of time and getting tipsy on my cocktail, our table was ready. The cubano - high quality, it was made with shredded/pulled pork instead of the typical sliced pork. Shredded pork always makes for a tastier version of the Cuban. A lot of the meat was included which my fiancé was very happy about. Parmesan fries were also delicious and included in both of our meals. The cowboy burger - juicy and full of flavour. Lots of bacon included and the fried onion ring included added a nice touch to the burger. The beef patty was cooked medium rare and was nice and tender.

Yelp
Good food and good service, love the bartender, Rob so friendly and the ribeye was great, highly recommended, definitely come back next time

Yelp
The staff was amazing. And the restaurant was clean. The menu is kind of simple, but they were able to kind of accommodate me. So it may seem a little pricey with entrees, but they come with two sides and a soup. I have a very sensitive stomach and was able to get the grilled salmon that you usually pay for with a salad. It is a little small, but was thankful they did that for me. The loaded sweets were very tasty, but I asked for them without beans which they accommodated. I also ordered the rum punch which was very flavorful. My friends enjoyed the onion rings, loaded pork fries, and the cranberry walnut salad with the salmon and the jalapeño margarita. we loved the atmosphere and the staff. Once they knew I had a sensitive stomach they were sure to ask if other seasonings would be ok. We had to top of the night with dessert which is not listed on the menu. The strawberry cheesecake and fried ice cream sandwich was a huge hit. We will be back for more good food.

Russ H.

Yelp
Prime rib was very good. It and the other steaks are only offered on the weekends so be aware if you are in the move for beef. Only thing is they don't offer any bread with your soup/salad. I really wish they would change that.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
Got sat quick.. busy as can be and the waitress was so pleasant . The staff is working hard and seems so happy about it ! The food not only hot the spot.. we had to take pictures and post this review before we left
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
The beer-battered avocados were fantastic. Crispy, light fried batter surrounding pieces of avocado. Each bite includes a nice texture and avocados are delicious by itself, but even better when fried. Other than this appetizer, unfortunately, everything else fell short. Rather, everything was mediocre. The burgers were nothing special, and the wait was too long for the food.

Yelp
Dining at State 48 Tavern after a long and exciting day exploring the Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. I must say, this place exceeded my expectations! We ordered the Western burgers, which were not only enormous but also prepared to perfection. I, however, opted for the smash burger, and it was equally delightful. The soup of the day, loaded potato, was incredibly delicious. The welcoming atmosphere was evident, making it clear that they cater to many weary travelers like us. Although the beer selection was on the smaller side, it certainly did not disappoint.

Nicole M.

Yelp
every single thing is TOO SALTY! the mashed potato, salad, soup, pulled pork are soooo salty that cant be eaten. also lack of service. they should reduce the amount of salt they use. would definitely NOT coming back here. don't believe the 4 star that they have
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
3.5 stars... On a roadtrip and my bride selected this joint due to proximity and type of establishment.., Started out with a beer from the local draft selections aplenty... ordered the wings half bourbon bbq and half honey bbq. Bourbon bbq is honey bbq with extra flavors...smoke and a pinch of heat, that was good, and they served them extra saucy, which is right up my alley! I got a dozen and they were so large and meaty o had trouble finishing them... Ambiance is junkyard garage, prices were in line with expectation, and service was prompt and friendly... Not sure I'll make it back this way, but I'd stop in again...this joint makes the list!

Yelp
So surprised to find this gem whilst staying at a local glamping campsite (Under Canvas). After hiking all morning we decided to grab some lunch before heading to Horseshoe Bend. This was our first time visiting Page, Arizona and this local eatery was perfect. I ordered the strawberry-Brie-balsamic-chicken sandwich, so yummy!!! Hubs got an arugula salad with salmon and Buffalo wings which he said was excellent. I also had a grapefruit Paloma which the nice bartender made extra strong for me! Waitress was friendly and accommodating! We'd return if ever in the area again!
google avatar

Yelp
We visited Page for some winter exploring and decided to try State 48 Tavern based on reviews and also because there's few open restaurants in the off season. Best decision for the excellent service and delicious, perfectly prepared food! It's a sports bar like atmosphere with projection tv and upbeat music. Servers are prompt and friendly. We ordered steak dinners and they were cooked just right, medium rare and the shrimp very tender and tasty! Mashed potatoes were light and buttery and the veggies steamed crisp tender. When you're in Page, State 48 Tavern offers a diverse menu and great service!
google avatar

Brittany S.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this place! We picked this restaurant because it looked like it had a good variety (important when you have picky kiddos) & it exceeded our expectations. I ordered the avocado & black bean tacos with coconut-lime rice & it was SO GOOD. Can't remember the brewery but I got a local Amber beer and it was really good too.
google avatar

Valerie B.

Yelp
Service was okay, but the food was small. Took a while to get seated. Vegetables were burnt. Tacos were small for the price. Nice scenery but was okay, overall.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious little local spot in Page! We were doing an overnight stop before our trip to antelope canyon and this was recommended to us by our hotel. The food was delicious the atmosphere was very chill and local feeling. I would definitely have given them 5 stars but unfortunately they were out of almost 1/3 of the menu so that made it tough to order. We got an order of the loaded fries, the sliders and the Brie burger. All were cooked to our perfection. I really loved the fries. The combination sounds weird (sweet potatoes, ranch, black beans and avocado) but it actually all came together really great! The fries were not soggy which is a big plus! Burgers were both tasty and not dried out. Our waitress kept our drinks filled the entire night and we never had to ask for anything. Highly recommend this local spot for your next meal.
google avatar

Bri M.

Yelp
Super great little spot! The service was a little bit slow at first, it took about ten minutes to get a waitress to our table but other than that everything was excellent! I had the strawberry Brie sandwich that had a balsamic dressing, avocado and basil (which is very off brand for me since I can be a picky eater sometimes) but it was amazing!!! My guy had the burger sliders and he enjoyed those as well that he enjoyed
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
My group and I were starving after a long drive to the Horseshoe Bend. This was a perfect pit stop to get food and some drinks. They had a limited menu at the time, but the food was great. Appetizer: Beer Battered Avocados - Delish! Exactly how you would imagine it to be. State 48 Wings - Wings didn't disappoint either. We got the Spicy Asian and Bourbon BBQ. Main: Cowboy Burger - Bbq sauce, onion rings, bacon. Pretty decent size burger. I'm surprised I finished it! Must've been starving. Drinks: Full bar. Got the Grand Canyon Amber Ale, not bad.

Yelp
More of a 4.5, but rounding up for location and the fact that other inferior options are ranked as high or higher. :) The beer fried avocado appetizer was really tasty and hit the spot after backpacking down Paria river. The pub carne asada fries the perfect mix of somewhat trashy while tasting clean. Interesting sauces, better than average fries if not exceptional, and good portions and ingredients. We split the cowboy burger and really enjoyed that, and took the side of sweet potato fries to work into a breakfast scramble the next morning. I got the pomegranate coconut mojito because it seemed interesting and found it unique and enjoyable. If I buy a cocktail I want it to be something I'm not just going to make myself. :) Service was kinda perfect. Servers had a bit of a waif / skate kid vibe, but were very attentive in refilling water, asking to order, etc and being personable without overbearingly fake smiley. I'd definitely go back when I'm feeling like a big dinner while visiting the area. :)

Eileen M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and our server, Chris, was fantastic. The margaritas were great too! We ate dinner there for the 3 nights we were in town. We highly recommend.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Really cool bar and restaurant - great food and beer options. We got the loaded fries and state 48 wings as starters. The fries had homemade BBQ sauce and cheese, which were filled with with a ton of flavor and absolutely delicious! We got the pulled pork sandwich and ribeye steak as our meal options which were also fantastic. The server recommended the local favorite IPA, which was great! This place is awesome and has both inside and outside (with heaters) seating. Highly recommend going here for dinner or if you just want to grab some drinks with friends.
