This is a very good museum with lots of paintings by Georgian artists as well as some foreign ones. Nevertheless, it’s in very poor condition and needs renovation to preserve all the gathered artifacts. The staff is helpful and nice, but the overall condition of some zones is truly alarming! Someone definitely needs to invest money in this place

The Adjara Museum of Art (აჭარის ხელოვნების მუზეუმი) is nice and well kept, with a small but tidy collection. It’s a pleasant place to visit if you enjoy art and want to see some local works, but nothing particularly special or impressive. Still, it’s worth a quick stop while exploring Batumi.

Small gallery on two floors with diverse paintings in terms of style and technique. There is even a small work of great Aivazovsky and a couple of interesting sculptures. For city visitors it’s a nice place to get into the local culture with several paintings of Batumi itself. There are chairs to rest, the tickets are not expensive, and the staff is friendly.

The Ajara Art Museum, nestled in the heart of Batumi, is a cultural gem that showcases the vibrant artistic heritage of the Ajara region and Georgia as a whole. This elegant museum, housed in a neoclassical building, offers an enriching experience for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The museum's collection is diverse, featuring works from Georgian and international artists spanning various periods and styles. From vivid landscapes and traditional folk art to thought-provoking contemporary pieces, the exhibits highlight the evolution of artistic expression in Georgia. Notable works by celebrated Georgian artists such as Niko Pirosmani and Lado Gudiashvili captivate with their unique styles and emotional depth. Beyond its permanent collection, the museum frequently hosts temporary exhibitions, showcasing modern artists and cultural collaborations. These rotating displays ensure there’s always something new to discover, making it a dynamic hub for creativity. The museum's intimate atmosphere is enhanced by its well-organized layout and informative displays, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the artwork. Its location in central Batumi makes it easily accessible, and the serene surroundings provide a tranquil break from the city’s bustling streets. For anyone seeking to explore Georgia’s artistic soul, the Ajara Art Museum offers an inspiring and memorable experience that lingers long after the visit.

The ticket is very affordable, and the gallery is not that big. Most of the paintings between 2007-2021, I guess. I'd share the best paintings that I've seen
