Our waiter, Jonas, was very attentive and polite. The food was very good. The ambiance is superb with amazing views. The reasons I deducted a star were: 1) the date bread was very hard and 2) both entrees, salmon and halibut, very smelly. The fishy smell wasn't so bad that we couldn't eat, but it was strong enough for us to notice. We had some leftovers and the next day our refrigerator smelled like fish! I wonder how fresh the fish were. Other than that, everything else was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A wonderful view of the valley from the restaurant. If you are here in the summer, it's nice & quiet. In just presenting facts- Avocado fries are to die for. Sashimi is good. You'll need to request wasabi if you enjoy it with your fish. The Caesar salad dressing has little flavor & the heirloom salad is mostly sourdough bread. The waiter was kind & eager to please. Upon paying the bill, they said my credit card didn't process so although I knew there should be no issue, I just handed them another card. After waiting another ten minutes, I started to wonder what the situation was so I called my credit card company. They said no charge was attempted. At this point the waiter came back & said they were having system issues & would get back to us. Lunch took about an hour then it took thirty minutes of waiting to find out that they still had no working system to charge for the meal. They wanted us now wait to sign a form to authorize the charge at a later time. All of that is fine but truly wish we didn't have to wait thirty minutes to do this. Kind of a let down at the end of lunch. I thought The Ritz Carlton employees were empowered.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here recently, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience—especially as someone who follows a vegan lifestyle. The chef went above and beyond to curate a custom plant-based menu, and every dish was executed with exceptional care, flavor, and presentation. We started with the cilantro hummus—fresh, zesty, and creamy. For entrées, we had the jackfruit tacos and the curried vegetable rice. For the birthday desert, we were served three different types of vegan sorbets-so yummy. Each dish was top notch—made with incredibly fresh ingredients and clearly crafted with intention. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was thoughtful from start to finish. I’m incredibly grateful for Chef Janiece and the care taken to accommodate my dietary preferences without compromise. She made it a true five-star experience. Tip for fellow plant-based diners: call a couple days ahead to let the team know your dietary needs—they’ll go the extra mile to welcome you with something truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined yet inclusive dining experience.

Exceptional! We sat at the bar for lunch both days! DJ was fantastic! He took his time to explain what types of tequilas they have. Also helped with deciding on what to get for lunch both days. DJ was so friendly and polite! We really enjoyed sitting at his bar! While you’re here make sure you have breakfast on the patio! The views are incredible and the service is exceptional!

Very Gluten Free friendly. All the chef’s specials were gluten free. The gluten free rosemary focaccia bread was excellent. Check out the picture. Didn’t take pictures of the salad and mushroom soup. Both were delicious. The trout was good. Drinks were great.

Had a wonderful overall experience at State Fare Bar & Kitchen, which is located within the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage. We had what was probably the best hummus dish ever. The desserts were amazing, and our server was out of this world. You can't beat the overall experience at this restaurant. We highly recommend it!

The dining experience at the Ritz-Carlton's signature restaurant State Fare Bar & Kitchen is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting ambiance that perfectly complements the breathtaking views through expansive windows overlooking the scenic surroundings. The setting manages to be both opulent and comfortable, providing a sophisticated backdrop for the culinary journey ahead. And let's not forget the impeccable service; attentive but unobtrusive, the staff elevates the entire dining experience, ensuring that your every need is met. Dining here isn't just a meal; it's an unforgettable experience that pairs gastronomic excellence with panoramic vistas, making for an outing that satisfies on every level. A visit to this restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton is, without a doubt, an indulgence well worth the splurge.

Best. Brunch. Ever. We dined at State Fare for Mother’s Day brunch and it was exceptional! The moment we pulled up to valet, we were greeted with smiles and friendly greetings. When we checked in at the host stand, we were quickly escorted to our booth. Bryan, our server, was truly the best! He explained the various food stations and then brought us champagne to start our day! The Executive Chef, Bruno Lopez, was checking in to ask if people were enjoying their meal. He stopped by our table and we shared that we were impressed with everything. He and his entire team are top notch! Right before we were leaving, we were given a box of macarons, compliments of Bruno. How thoughtful and they were delicious! We are already planning to return sometime soon. This is an excellent and gorgeous place. Thank you for a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Yelp
This review is for lunch--can't speak to the dinner menu. We came in on a quiet Monday and had the bar to ourselves, which made for a relaxed, cool escape from the heat outside. The food and cocktails were excellent. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and the whole vibe was laid-back and comfortable. The lobster roll was top-notch--served on a warm, buttery roll with a cool, fresh lobster filling. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were crispy and cooked perfectly. The burger? Absolutely amazing. A little greasy from the bacon jam and rich patty, but in the most satisfying, indulgent way. Highly recommend ducking out of the sun for a quick bite here before heading back to the pool.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on the first floor of the Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage, and it definitely lives up to the luxury you'd expect from the brand. It's a fancy place with absolutely stunning views--perched on top of a hill overlooking the valley. Perfect for a sunset dinner or special occasion. The staff were polite and not overly attentive, which we appreciated at first--but toward the end of our meal, we struggled to get our server's attention to request the check. That lack of attentiveness at the end was a bit frustrating. Food-wise, the lobster brioche was excellent--rich, flavorful, and generously portioned. Very satisfying. However, the avocado salad was left untouched, and no one (neither our server nor the busser) asked if everything was okay with it or whether we wanted to take it to go. Overall, a great dining experience with incredible views and quality food. One star off for service that didn't quite match the level of the setting.

Yelp
They have the best jumbo shrimp cocktail! Well designed and well tasted! They have fresh flat bread and great hamburger with yummy fries! Their pasta is creamy. There is inside and outside sit and i love their inside decoration specially their bar area! Also, they are the best for breakfast in town! The service is great and whenever im in this area im check in so often for a sip of great cocktails or bite a tasty jumbo shrimp and etc. The buffet breakfast is one of the best breakfast buffet that we had before! Specially cold breakfast part! Smoked salmon, smoked cheese, the variety of cheese, fruit, patisseries and whatever your heart desired you can find here.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. Def a vibe with a view. Unfortunately it was over a 100 degrees so we opted to eat inside. For breakfast you can choose either breakfast buffet which was around $25 for kids $50 for adults or à la carte off their menu which depending on the item was roughly anywhere between $15-30 per dish. Our server was very attentive and great, was definitely a pleasure having him as our server. Would recommend this place, will be coming back for dinner as well!

Yelp
So delicious!! I ordered the 12oz New York Strip & my cousin ordered a salad. We also both got a glass of wine. The NY strip was amazingggg, I got it medium. It was so juicy and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were also so good. My cousin also really enjoyed her salad & when there was an issue with the chicken it was quickly replaced. The atmosphere? Perfect. It was aesthetically pleasing inside and wasn't too loud. The service was spectacular and our server Jasmine was so sweet. We even ended up getting a dessert on the house (which was SO GOOD). We were definitely satisfied with our meal, drinks and dessert. It was an overall 10/10 experience and amazing first time dining at the Ritz Carlton.

Yelp
Wow.. the views are incredible, I love my desert oasis. I had a wonderful experience trying appetizers and drinks. Service was on point. I'd love to come back when it's not so hot and I can enjoy the outdoor seating. Thank you for hosting us.

Bahar K.

Yelp
We ordered stake frites and a Cesar salad which both were beyond expectations! Even the fries were perfectly seasoned and the added herbs made them more flavorful. Every bite was savored. Even the bread and butter that was offered before our main course was awesomely delicious. Our host, ABRAM was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and was particularly helpful in navigating the menu and answering questions about the different spices. He provided impeccable service, offered us complimentary side dishes that were as gourmet as the main dishes. It was a truly unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and the spectacular view created the perfect romantic ambiance. Will definitely be returning to try more of their amazing dishes."

Yelp
A wonderful dinner! The menu is not huge but I believe there's something for everyone. We had the mushroom soup, the chicken tortilla soup, the short rib, the chicken, and the trout. Then they provided a birthday dessert. Everything was EXCELLENT. The bread basket was also delicious. Really moist delicious focaccia. It was hard to resist. I would say the short rib was an absolute stand out. Josiah our server was lovely and provided some recommendations and the view was absolutely beautiful. A bit of a splurge but I'd highly recommend!

Yelp
Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Valet Perk: Shrimp Non-Perk: It was way too cold. Ambiance: Upscale bar Dress: Nice Noise: Med Temperature: COLD Recommend: 100% Date: 07/04/2024 Dissertation: We stopped in here after checking into our hotel. We had just driven 5 hours and were starving as well as a tad cranky, at least I was! We ordered 2 drink specials and the shrimp appetizer and oh my goodness, the shrimp appetizer was so perfect, I'm convinced they were raised on a strict diet of luxury spa water and motivational podcasts. They were huge, juicy, and clearly living their best shrimp life before landing on our plate. As for the drinks? They weren't just perfect--they were so smooth and well-balanced that I half expected them to start giving me life advice. By the time I finished, I was ready to quit my job and become a full-time food critic. The husband wasn't into my bright idea tho.

Yelp
Love the new and upgraded menu. This was the 12oz strip. Wasn't that hungry but still needed something. This was split between two of us. Great service too.

Yelp
Amazing service the server was very helpful and constantly checking on us making sure we were good. Food was great! The ambiance was definitely lively! I will be coming back.

Yelp
We dined here on December 16 for a Christmas work party. We were a larger party of eight and sat at a semi private table which looked like a wine room. The ambience was very bright and open. The food took a long time to come out because we were apparently waiting on my entree. I ordered lamb. For whatever reason it took longer than everyone else's steak dinners. I think it arrived by drone from New Zealand! Haha! Our server sent out an appetizer on the house to tie us over. She was great. I will say that I've had better lamb elsewhere, and my husband wasn't super impressed with his steak, but we did have a nice time. We hung outside afterwards and sat around a fire pit and enjoyed the cool fresh air overlooking Rancho Mirage.

Yelp
We visited State Fare for breakfast and for dinner, as we simply couldn't resist the "punny" name. Breakfast was excellent - we were seated outdoors and had a great view of the city in the distance. My breakfast burrito was generously sized, and the Bloody Mary was infused with bacon (a nice touch). My wife enjoyed her parfait. Dinner was a bit more mixed - we were seated indoors on account of the cold. We started the meal with the lobster croquettes, which were excellent, and had a pretty substantial amount of lobster within. For entrees, I had the New York strip - however it didn't come out at the correct temperature. Service during both meals was attentive, however the fire alarm went off repeatedly during the dinner meal, subtracting significantly from the ambience.

Yelp
Went with one of my bestie for lunch to celebrate her birthday. Requested a table with of view and were accommodated. Menu had regular lunch items, salads, sandwiches, and some nice appetizers. There was a prefix menu with several choices. We each had a Burrata Tomato toast and Ahi plate. The tomatoes were very tasty and the Burrata and Balsamic pearls fantastic. Our tuna was very high quality and served with an Asian cole slaw. We couldn't finish it all and brought the leftovers home. The service was impeccable. Both our waitress and the assistant waiter were on top of every need before we even asked. The dining room is very inviting and the view refreshing. We go for lunch often and this is somewhere we are going to frequent more often. A real treat

Yelp
The food was good and the portions were large. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated. However, the prices are way too high for what you get -- the quality of the food doesn't quite match the cost. Because of that, I'd probably not eat here again.

Yelp
My first--and likely last--visit to State Fare Bar & Kitchen was on 3/21 for lunch with friends. **Service:** Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We were there for over two hours, with each part of our meal taking 20-30 minutes to arrive. This included bar drinks, our appetizer, and our main courses, as well as simply getting our waitress' attention. Despite the restaurant not appearing particularly busy, with multiple servers, bussers, and a manager present, our server was inattentive. She forgot limes, a soda, and a second round of drinks, and we frequently had to flag down other servers for assistance. The only part of the meal that arrived promptly was the check and a birthday dessert. **Food & Drinks:** I ordered an espresso martini, avocado fries, and the SF Burger. The cocktail was the best of the three but still only a 7/10. The avocado fries were bland and required extra salt and lime for flavor. The SF Burger was overly rich, lacking any fresh or acidic element to balance it out. While I appreciated the homemade bun and quality meat, the overall flavor was greasy and heavy. The view was beautiful, but unfortunately, it's not enough to bring me back.

Yelp
Whether or not you are staying at the Ritz Carlton, you should give State Fare Bar & Kitchen a try. I recently stayed for five nights and have tried almost everything on the menu - you can't go wrong! Food: Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Ordered the Lobster Roll Sandwich with Fries for the first time. Chilled Maine Lobster, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Chives, on a Split Brioche Bun - this rich and delicious sandwich was perfectly served with french fries. I have had the State Fare Prime Burger at least five times and I love it. Hopscotch Cheddar, Onion-Bacon Jam, Aioli, Arugula, on a Pretzel Bun - this tasty burger will leave you feeling completely satisfied. Service: The hostess and servers, Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan, who delivered the food and took a great memory photo, went out of their way to ensure a 5-star experience. The order was timely taken, we were seated at a table with a lovely view, pictured below, and the food was served timely as well. Ambiance: Relaxed and casual environment, but you can get dressed up if you like - just make sure everyone in your party gets the memo. Parking: valet parking only, unless you can find free parking at the bottom of Frank Sinatra drive and hike up the hill - it is literally a hike so I recommend valet parking. I highly recommend this restaurant! Shout out to Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan who went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience!

Yelp
Excellent food. Great service. Unbelievable views. The grounds are very nice. I would eat there again.

Yelp
Before heading back to L.A. we stopped at The Ritz for brunch at State Fare. Situated on top of a hill, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the valley and the grounds of the lovely hotel courtyard below. The service was a bit slow, but our server Armando was delightful. I ordered the fruit plate and sissy the State Fare Special - eggs, roasted potatoes, fresh tomatoes, & toast. The prices are a bit steep - $25 for a plate of fruit. The brunch buffet is $45, which is reasonable given the amount of food selections available. The ingredients are locally sourced, so my fruit was ripe and flavorful. It came with a piece of honeycomb, which was a nice treat. I also had a mimosa without the orange juice because if I'm having brunch then Champagne is a must!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful view and delicious burger! They make their own ranch, so tasty! Definitely on the pricey side for a burger, but expected for hotel prices.

Yelp
Great lunch at State Fare- I made a reservation on OpenTable and was being joined by a friend who is visiting from out of town.. as a local, I have my favorite spots and this place is one of them - restaurants, spa and overall experience! Selena was our server, who always remembers me and makes she to say hello, even if she's not our server- we got lucky today and got her that! She super friendly and shows that you are not just another random person - she recalled that I was recently there for brunch (which was an excellent spread and cannot believe it was my first time having... also, showed up as a walk-in with no issue!) - anyway, she asked how I enjoyed it and welcomed me back. Lunch was delicious! And healthy! We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu - to note the gentleman that brought out the menus ensured to provide a full intro to this menu + shared how it helps support the local FIND Food-bank! Wow!! Who ever trained this guy on how to present the menu did an AMAZING job! I have not heard anyone make such highlights and mention of this - I unfortunately don't remember his name but was Dario? Brandon? Anyway, he knows who he is! Thank you, again!! And of course the Ritz, this place is just great! I love the smell of Egyptian cotton as you enter the lobby! And the views.. no need so bore you. Pictures attached : ) Many thanks!

Yelp
We came here for Brunch during our last visit to the PSP area. The location is absolutely beautiful, and the service was outstanding! The food, however, did not measure up. We ordered several items. The hamachi tataki was sauceless. It came with watermelon that had been marinated which gave it a very unappealing taste. I am used to a ponzu or yuzu sauce with hamachi. It looked nice though. The mussels and clams also had barely any broth. Often that is the most delicious part of such a dish. Both the breaded shrimp and fish had too much breading on them which was also not very flavorful. Overall, the food was very disappointing.
google avatar

Robin N.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant. High end but worth it service and food were excellent! Having drinks on the terrace is highly recommended. Such a beautiful view and wonderful restaurant.

Yelp
I've been here before and it's always a good time. My mom and I came for a quick drink and dessert tonight. The bartenders were lovely. We walked around the property and landed at the bar. The restaurant looked pretty and was really busy for a Tuesday evening. We ended up with the Fresh Berry Vodka drink and I had a honey pana cotta dessert since I can't drink right now due to my pregnancy. Service was great and the property is beautiful. Taking off one star just because everything is so pricey and the girl who works at the host stand was inattentive. Other than that, will be back!
google avatar

Yannis A.

Yelp
The start of the dining experience wasn't great and I was determined to give this experience (at most) 3 stars. I had made reservations, we showed up a few minutes early just to be sure; I had requested a table outside, overlooking the pool and the rest of the Valley, I had indicated it was for a special occasion. The person who took my info was very cordial and assured me he would leave a note for the people who would be checking us in. We arrived and they had no idea. Thankfully, there were two tables left, outside, and they said they would prepare one of them. However, the person who was supposed to sit us got caught up with taking pictures of many's inferential couples (with the Valley as the background) we waited over 10 min while she was taking pics and shooting the breeze with every couple. Finally, she came to the hostess station (where we were waiting) and asked us if we had checked in and had reservations! She finally realized that we had already been there and swiftly apologized and took us to the table. At any rate, our waiter was amazing, he knew his wines inside and out, made great suggestions. He was perfect as to when to show up and when to be discreet. The food was very good; we had Alaskan crab cakes which were amazing; also, the Jidoru half chicken which was baked to perfection and was extremely juicy. I had the scallops which were heavenly. I totally recommend this place; the food is very good, the view is great, it is pricey but expected from a restaurant that is inside The Ritz-Carlton. Absolutely call and make reservations; it's a very popular spot.
google avatar

Patrick J.

Yelp
The food here was outstanding. The Jidori chicken was very crispy and pan seared, but ended on the inside. It comes with broccolini and mashed potatoes, which were excellent. The service was great. The prices were high, but actually comparable to places like the French Rotisserie, but with much better ambiance.

George L.

Yelp
5 stars for ambiance and beautiful views eating on the patio and 1.5 stars for undercooked burger and grocery store quality desert. Regular fries were medium and the correct sweet potato fries that we actually ordered and were brought later were excellent.
google avatar

Zan L.

Yelp
Staying at the Ritz for a few nights (a wonderful thing to say) and for convenience we chose to dine on property tonight, which means State Fare since The Edge Steakhouse is closed for the season. It's a very large, open restaurant with a bar and large flat screen playing sports at the North end. Our service was quick and everyone we encountered was very polite. I chose the Watermelon salad to start and although I wish it had more watermelon in terms of quantity, it was still very tasty and I would order it again. For my entree I chose the Chilean Seabass and it was lovely. I was worried the Tikka sauce was going to be overpowering, but it wasn't. It almost tasted like Old Bay seasoning to me. I would order that dish again as well. Overall a good meal and I would dine here again happily.
google avatar

Hello B.

Yelp
Our table looked out at the spectacular view of the city and pretty Ritz courtyard. We shared the exceptional tuna tartare. The Caesar salad was very good with plenty of anchovy filets! The scallops and steak entrees were good but both would have benefitted from more seasoning. Service was attentive, informative, and very personable. An enjoyable evening all around
google avatar

Mitch K.

Yelp
So from the time we drove up to the Porte cochere and the greeting was standard Ritz. We got seated in a private dining area and Christian our server had confirmed our dietary restrictions. Of course in any luxury accommodation you will never say "No" as we asked for separate checks. Unlike the 4 saints who said "we do not do that." The service was timed perfectly as we chatted and ordered. One of our dishes the Pad Thai was not up to our expectation. I ordered the special salmon entre off the menu, but recieved the salmon on the menu, and it was AMAZING!!! Overall, was very overwhelmed of the service. We walked around the property after and we all agreed it is something we will definitely recommend and be back.

G D.

Yelp
Friendly staff, ready to accommodate any dietary restriction of request. Food was good for a hotel, with hotel pricing.

Vaunda J.

Yelp
Last night my hubby and I had an impromptu date night. I suggested here because I had been here with my girlfriends and had thoroughly enjoyed it! Again, I was pleased with the ambiance, great service by Jazmine and the food was great too! It's a little on the expensive side. Drinks are very expensive! But, if you want to splurge and get an overall great experience I truly recommend. The lobster crab cakes are great on top of a lobster bisque sauce with spinach! It's served as an appetizer but can be filling as your entree choice. The corn and lobster ravioli dish was ok but I don't think I'd order again. I didn't care for the crunchy corn pieces and I could barely taste the lobster. Jazmine, our server was wonderful! We will be back! Thank you for great service!! We even sat outside for a bit after dinner with our wine. The view, service and ambiance made us forget about the desert heat for at least 20 minutes.

Kevin A.

Yelp
Had a birthday dinner her during a family staycation and most of the food was delicious. Service was great and the staff were really friendly.

Madalyn P.

Yelp
Food delicious. Ambiance lovely. Service excellent. Beautiful view. Pretty patio. Welcoming staff

Dianna G.

Yelp
The menue is very limited and uninteresting. The food was bland and less than ordinary. The waiter had no interest in taking care of us and was actually rude. It's very expensive for what it is. We won't be going back.
google avatar

B T.

Yelp
You gotta be kidding me this is the actual Ritz Carlton restaurant. The service is literally the worst you will be serve better at a chain restaurant. Staff seems untrained front desk is rude. Everything is absolutely terrible.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
The service in the bar area was was fantastic! Our server was a seasoned professional and it showed. The food was very good and the bartender makes one heck of a margarita!
google avatar

Hillari S.

Yelp
Came for drinks and to check out the property. The drinks are expertly crafted (at ~$18 per) and it's a nice vibe for happy hour time on the patio. Take a brief walk down to the firepits for a gorgeous view of the valley. Can't speak much more to it than that.

Yelp
Just spent an amazing 10th wedding anniversary dinner at State Fare Bar + Kitchen and couldn't have been any better. Making reservations were a little challenging on app/online as they didn't have any times listed. However, a quick call made all the difference. As expected of Ritz Carlton hospitality, they were very kind and accommodating and reserved us a great table at preferred time. Once we checked in at the hostess, the magic began. We were wished the happiest of anniversaries and escorted to our lovely table al fresco with an amazing view. Two glasses of champagne were already on there way over! Bennett was our server and honestly helped make the experience even more incredible. He helped us navigate the menu with excellent descriptions and recommendations. He made a point to get to know us a bit and personalize everything. Lastly, he provided a handwritten thoughtful note along with complimentary dessert with happy 10th anniversary written in chocolate on the plate!! Sit in Bennett's section!! Our food was out of this world!! So glad that they featured The Edge dishes while that restaurant is still pending reopening. We started with Ahi tuna tartare and a split wedge salad. Both delicious. We decided to share a few Edge dishes including the truffle parpadelle and the Australian Wagyu tenderloin. Best tasting steak I've ever had!!!! You must try it!!! Definitely can't wait to return!!!

Dominique C.

Yelp
Excellent service by Krusty! She was professional and so friendly It was busy and she was everywhere to try to please lots of guests We will come back and ask for her The crispy shrimp were delicious for the appetizers But the chicken for the main course was just ok. Do not miss the Pavlova for the desert ... a must. Our lovely table was outside coded to the fireplace Wonderful! A place te remember for thé Amazing service to Kristy!
google avatar

Vince L.

Yelp
Tryston was a great waiter. Solid wine recommendations. The host was great and sat us at a great table. It is the Ritz Carlton but the food was just as good as coming from the Dennys kitchen. Returned the steak which was served with some kind of moldy sour smell. Would not recommend dining here. But the service, wines and ambience is great.
google avatar

Jenni L.

Yelp
Went here for brunch. The food here is a bit pricey for what it is, but it's expected since it's in the Ritz Carlton. The servers were amazing though, attentive and efficient. I ordered an iced coffee and was offered syrups (even asked how many pumps I wanted and offered more if it wasn't enough), and was asked what milk or alternative I wanted as well. I got the granola parfait, which was delicious. Others in my group got the French toast, a bagel with cream cheese (not on the menu but just ask!), and avocado/eggs.

Pam F.

Yelp
While the ambiance and service were excellent, the food was not. We shared the avocado croquettes appetizer which was guacamole battered and fried. Fatty and unnecessary. My husband had the spicy shrimp pasta which was bland and strange. I had the pasta with clams which had 4 clams on top ramen in a watery broth. Not good. Tab with one glass of wine $150. Would never eat here again. The 2 stars are for service.

Yelp
The service at this restaurant and entire resort was flawless. Every employee was over the top accommodating and friendly. The only reason I am giving 3 stars for the restaurant is the lack of vegan options on the menu, and the decor of the bar area. The chairs are dated and damaged. Oddly, orange is my favorite color, but it just wasn't working for me in this setting. The dining experience gave me a weird vibe. If I visit the Ritz again, I hope by then they enhance their menu to include some tasty vegan options and I'll be sure to sit in the restaurant instead of the bar.

Yelp
The ambiance of the outdoor dining space here is fabulous. It has a great view of the pool and the east valley. Service is on point and makes sure you are taken care of. We had the avocado fries to start and they were really good. My wild salmon portion was generous and cooked perfectly. The dessert cheesecake pop was really good and so creative. It's a great dining experience whether you are staying at the Ritz or just want a nice dinner.

Yelp
We were able to go here twice during our stay; reservations are highly encouraged. The restaurant has gorgeous views so if you can sit outside definitely do it. Our of everything we ate the short ribs and the scallops were our must haves. Scallops were cooked to perfection and the short rib fell apart and was juicy. The avocado fries came highly recommended but in our opinion were just ok. The food is good but people definitely come for the view. Drinks are definitely on the pricey side; $18 for a margarita. Overall it was a beautiful dinner and obviously we loved it so enough to come back a second time.

Yelp
Recommendations: Reserve a dinner time slot around sunset so you can walk around the scenic Ritz-Carlton grounds, and enjoy dinner as the sun settles down with red and pink hues along the horizon. TIP - Have the check in hostess validate your valet ticket if you are visiting for complimentary valet parking. Service from the staff was great, prompt, and course timing was perfect to allow talk and digesting between meals. Ask for extra of their hot warm cheese bread. You're welcome. Appetizers - enjoyed the light crispy breaded shrimp, cool refreshing Burrata Salad, and flavourful Caesar Salad with Parmesan shavings and anchovies. Entrée - soft moist short rib with perfectly cooked and buttered potatoes. Jidori Chicken was also flavourful, but would stick with the Short Rib instead for the better blend of tenderness and rich flavor. GET THE SMOKED GOUDA MAC AND CHEESE. One of the best, richest and perfect Mac and Cheeses I have ever tried. No damn crunchy baked bread crumbs on top to ruin the smoothness of the melted gouda cheese. Dessert - Double Shot cake. Delicious dense moist with a caramel /coffee center, incredible hazelnut cold foam on the side. Finished the dinner with fine hot teas overlooking the city. Would visit again. Great staff, food, and location.
