One of the main central location in Guadalajara with the historical building. It’s so nice coming here during the end of the day and getting to see the bustling city life and get a feel of the place. There’s nearby shops and markets with food and drinks

Beautiful architecture and paintings by Orozco inside. This historic building is located in downtown Guadalajara. They use to give a free tour every hour. You might want to ask them if they still do if you are interested.

In order to appreciate the main mural correctly, you
must: walk 3/4 up the main stairs without looking up, then turn your head towards the ceiling, then open your eyes. It's really easy to miss on the greatness of this mural by just "looking at it" as you walk upstairs.

Make sure not to miss ‘El Palacio de Gobierno, in front of the center square cathedral. It’s free to enter and there you can find some museum expositions, as well as some incredible art and mexican history paintings. You can ask for a tour guide if you want to a have a more in-deep knowledge of Guadalajara and Mexico in general.

Never did get to see this. I went Monday as Google it was open, but like everything else in Guadalajara it is in fact closed Monday. I came back Tuesday morning as they told me, but then they told me to come back at 2. Which was when I was leaving the city. Maybe they could publicly post some useful information somewhere about how to get in. I'm sure the interior is fantastic but they get one star for logistics.

Yelp
The building has a fence around it with a police guard - but if you ask, they will let you go inside to look around. Most people like looking the various murals.

Yelp
Free former state building. Great murals. No longer used for official government purposes.
