We had a great experience staying there! The hosts are extremely nice and made sure everything was perfect for us. It's a very homey feeling place and we really enjoyed our stay. It has old world charm but also modern amenities. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is amazing! We will definitely be back

Lovely property and hospitable inn keepers. The property is a few blocks from the downtown area, which is filled with charming turn of the century homes and buildings, The inn is filled with lovely period furniture and other treasures. They keep a lovely assortment of snacks and beverages out for the guests at all times. |The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy. We had a wonderful breakfast, artfully prepared by the innkeepers. Our stay was only 1 night, but a great choice!

My partner and I had a truly wonderful stay at this inn! The couple who own the inn were incredibly kind and welcoming—they really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They offered a delicious breakfast, and one of the most thoughtful gestures was the goodie bags they prepared for us. They knew we were leaving early in the morning and made sure to leave them out for us ahead of time—such a sweet and personal touch. The inn itself was charming, cozy, and spotless. You can tell they put a lot of care into everything they do. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing getaway!

To begin with, Kia gave us the friendliest welcome by showing us not only our room but all the other guest areas with amenities. Our bedroom was stunning, in decor, comfort and size with plenty of hidden space. Very comfortable bed. Bruce went out for delicious pastries every morning which we ate in the sun on the beautiful porch. The coffee machine and fridge of soft drinks was a lovely addition and made us very comfortable. We must say a big thank you to Kia and Bruce for all their help in making our family visit such a special time. The inn itself is a beautiful building and we were lucky to see it in the Fall when the street was decorated for Halloween.

I had an amazing stay here, and the hosts were exceptional! From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming, making sure I felt safe, happy, and relaxed throughout my stay as a solo traveler. I stayed in the blue room, which was not only spacious but also full of character and comfort. I was in town for a music festival, and the family was so accommodating, adjusting to the late schedule for me and the other guests. The house itself is beautiful, with a clean and comfortable ambiance that captures the charm of historical architecture, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. Although I didn't explore the town, as I was focused on the music festival, the location is in the historic district and within walking distance to Dover Motor Speedway. The family offered delicious-looking and fragrant breakfast options, though I didn’t have any due to spending most of my time at the festival. I highly recommend this place for its reasonable prices, clean and comfortable accommodations, friendly and accommodating hosts, and overall unique experience. Having stayed at the this establishment numerous times over the years the State Street Inn has always been a great place, wonderful hosts, services, amenities and breakfast. It's located in a fantastic neighborhood.

Our stay at State Street Inn was wonderful. Bruce, Kia and Amelia were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. So many amenities and delicious croissants in the morning! Very grateful to have found such a lovely place to spend the night.

I stayed here for a couple of days at the holidays, and this place was fabulous. It's run by a couple and their son, and it has four guest rooms, each with their own bath. The rooms have great amenities for the price, and everything has been recently updated (mostly by the previous owners). Alas, I spent more time in my room than I would have liked, because I was sick, but at least the room had everything I needed and was very comfy!

Recently chose to stay at State Street Inn for a night over this past weekend for an anniversary/ Volksbash 2017 event. I have nothing but good things to say about the place. Absolutely charming Inn with historic feel and craftsmanship. Stunning kitchen and dinning area. Great staff and hospitality. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have many amenities. Definitely recommend a stay at the State Street Inn.

Utterly charming B&B in a 1915 Craftsman home. Innkeepers Mike and Yvonne are more than accommodating to their pampered guests. Four beautifully appointed rooms to choose from, good mattresses, nice amenities and wireless internet. I highly recommend this lovely getaway in historic Dover.

Yelp should consider adding a sixth star for this b-n-b. Clean, comfortable, peaceful, and the owners are so accommodating. We had out-of-town visitors and they stayed here; will use it again (and again and again).
