Stateline Brewery & Restaurant

In addition to a large indoor dining room, they have a small section of tables outdoors. We sat outside and there is a nice water feature that masks the noise of the street that is just 10 feet away. We were most impressed with the staff. Our server was very friendly and the outside hostess went above and beyond. My sister accidentally left her credit card in the billfold after paying. We didn't realize until we left and she tried to purchase something at the next store. She ran back but the billfold was gone from the table. We were standing there while the server checked but no one could find it. Then, the hostess came running up from down the block with her credit card. She had seen that we left it and had tried to chase us down. We were so thankful, and she did not have to do that! The food was okay, not bad but not amazing. They do have an entire menu flap devoted to their gluten-free options if that is something important to you.

We almost didn't try this place but let me tell you...DO! The service was good, the food AMAZING and the beer was great. Not pictured was the nachos. Best nachos. We also tried the pizza and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. All of it was so good. Come here. Drink beer, eat good food and leave happy!!

A party of 9. My second time here, so it was my idea to enjoy the delicious menu and great service. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The golden onions rings, fries and cheese curds ware devoured to the end. My brother stated eating the best angus cheesecake sandwich ever. Excellently menu and fast service !!!

Excellent fresh draft beers. I had the Stateline Nachos with steak. Great balance of flavor. The nachos chips were crispy and good. Kelly was our server and she is the best.

Good use of space and building atmosphere.  Greeted instantly and seated quickly.  Server was very warm and friendly, and tolerated our chatty tendency.  Wide menu selection, and, as advertised, 500+ whiskies to choose from.  I went with a flight so I could sample a few that I'd not yet tried.  For me it happened to be a burger-kinda evening (bacon & jam!), and theirs didn't disappoint.  Caesar salad good, as was artichoke dip appetizer.  Very happy to stop in here for an evening.  Will revisit when again in town.

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent. Service was great. Nick was our server and on point. Checked in enough but not too little or too much. Atmosphere consistent with the concept. Food was average to good. Would put it in line with a corporate restaurant. Not bad, some "different " options but standard flavors. Ribs were very tender and had good flavor. Margarita pizza normal. Stateline pizza was "different" then standard menu options and was good. Id personally lighten up on the Alfredo and sauté the onions. Sad part for me was this is a brewery/ restaurant. Id expect a variety of in house beers not just 4 and be out of one and have a dozen guest taps. Defeats the purpose of going to a brewery.

The establishment provides exceptional service within a relaxed atmosphere. The culinary offerings are of high quality and are priced competitively. This location is highly recommended for both local residents and tourists. A visit is certainly warranted.

We liked this restaurant. Try one of their wagyu-made burgers, especially their Bacon Jam one or their original one, both of those burgers were delicious with their crispy fries, for the price of $22. Their drinks were refreshing as well. I liked the games they offer while you wait for your food, like Uno or ring toss to consume some wait time. Good atmosphere and plenty of tvs to watch sports as well. They also had friendly staff too. Worth a stop for burgers in the Heavenly Village area!

Joey B. Our server was amazing, took his time , advised competently, managed to care though the place does a great business in this season, and didn't have to. Food and drink also excellent!

Had all meat pizza and rib eye steak for dinner, steak was cooked to perfection. Servers were also nice.

My buddies and I got some really good burgers! The service was great and the selection of whiskey was off the charts! I'd recommend coming here.

After arriving in South Lake Tahoe and checking into Marriott's Timber Lodge, we walked outside starving and spotted Stateline Brewery & Restaurant just a short walk away, about 600 feet from the hotel. The convenience alone made it an easy choice for lunch. The entrance is very cool and unique. You walk in and immediately head down a spiral staircase with steep steps, landing directly on the first floor. At first, it almost feels like you walked in through the wrong entrance since you arrive right in the middle of the restaurant, but that is exactly how it is designed. Service was excellent. We were seated right away and felt well taken care of from start to finish. We ordered the fried calamari, and as people who order calamari often, the whole family agreed this was probably the best we have had. It was fried but not overly crispy, still tender, chewy, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the Stateline tacos, steak with two tacos, which came with beans and Spanish rice. The tacos were double wrapped in yellow corn tortillas and were very flavorful, but the Spanish rice completely stole the show. It was bursting with flavor and spices without being overly salty. Just right. I was convinced a Hispanic person made it because it tasted that authentic and well balanced. The ambiance was also great with dim lighting and a cool, relaxed vibe. Bonus points for having clean men's and women's restrooms, with several stalls in the women's bathroom. Overall, great food, excellent service, and a unique atmosphere. We would absolutely come back.

Excellent choice of beers me and my girlfriend tried the blackberry cider and the kolsch they had on tap. For entree we had the pasta dishes that were Excellent. Our server was kind and helpful. Definitely recommend when in Tahoe.

We don't leave Table without visiting Stateline brewery! We always try to get lunch on our way out of town. There is nothing crazy or fancy about this location, but the vibes are always there and the service is usually pretty quick! The couple times that I have visited I have enjoyed my food. I can't remember what I got the first time but the second visit I ordered a salad. Overall, a fun spot with beer and food!

I am a sucker for a spot that serves a proper Old Fashioned. Yes, this is a brewery and they have fantastic options on tap. Their whiskey game is next level. We ordered the fried shrimp to start. They are served breaded without the tails, so you can go all in. I added some hot sauce to the cocktail sauce, so good. They also serve the shrimp with a honey garlic sauce that's phenomenal. The buffalo chicken western salad is so, so good. They don't go too heavy on the dressing. The shaved carrots & tortilla strips add a perfect crunch. The feta was a welcome surprise in a buffalo environment. They have a great outdoor area for fairer weather and a cozy indoors for the nippier times of year. We absolutely enjoyed our visit & would return in a heartbeat to try any of the other options on the menu.

Cool vibes, mediocre food. Tuna in the Tuna Poke was really off, so disappointed. And apps, burgers, kids' meals, and drinks were a-okay.

I love this hidden gem. This is Our new favorite restaurant to come to when we first come into town on Black Friday. Never too busy for us when we come. Had the nachos today they deliciouso! I love their sweet potato tater tots! Quiet atmosphere they have tv to watch sports too!

Came here to watch the game and have lunch before heading home. We ordered some drinks at the bar and this AMAZING spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl. It was toasted to perfection and was warm n delicious. Staff is friendly too.

We sat outside. One bartender slash server for the whole area so that wasnt really helpful because he was slammed so things took a long time and with a two year getting close to bedtime its not a fun time then. But drinks were good and food was decent nothing wow that stood out on the menu. A good hangout spot for sure.

Great service- they were very nice with accommodating our group of 12 + 1 kid! The drinks are strong, my boyfriend ordered the old fashioned and it was really strong but still pretty good. The food was good, I liked the wings and the calamari. The habanero wings are super spicy just a warning. It's very chill and right on the property of Marriot so it's an easy and convenient place to eat if you are in the area. Super chill and casual.

After a tiring day of tubing in the snow, we decided to stop by here to grab a late lunch. We were seated immediately and the server provided my son some crayons and paper to color! So sweet. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. -Bavarian pretzel: so good...make sure to ask for more of the queso! -Chicken Caesar salad: super refreshing and comes with a lot of chicken! -Cheeseburger: just decent. Nothing too crazy but still good! The drinks though...Bloody Mary with all the savory goodness and their Moscow Mule is SOOO GOOD! Will definitely come back here! Super family friendly and the servers are extremely sweet and accommodating.

Overall great outdoor lunch spot! Their patio is dog friendly which was great as I had my pal jack with me. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came with fries. Their cheese curds were very tasty and jack enjoyed some too as it was mozzarella cheese. Their Tahoe Tessie drink was parts vodka & pineapple juice. Great location for a quick and chill lunch. Customer service was very kind and friendly! Recommend if your in the south Tahoe area!

Stateline Brewery and Restaurant offers fantastic customer service which seems to be a rarity in SLT. My partner and I stopped in since he wanted to see what was on tap. I was all tapped out (see what I did there!) from trying different beers so I opted for water while he tried a flight. The bartender didn't seem bothered one bit. He ordered his flight, easy. She was friendly and chatty. No problem with her at all! Now, behind us were two tables- one was a large party celebrating a birthday- maybe a table of nine or ten. And then right next to them was a table of two. We watched a server go from a lively party server personality directly to a more intimate server personality in two seconds without missing a beat. That's how it should be. Places in SLT could learn a lot from this guy! Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their time at Stateline. If you're in the area, check it out!

Starling Brewery was a five minute walk from my hotel. I decided to try their Forrester burger with the vegan substitute, along with a side of onion rings. Unfortunately, I was a bit underwhelmed by the vegan burger patty. It seemed to lack seasoning, which made it a bit bland. The mushrooms added needed texture. The onion rings were just okay - nothing particularly stood out about them. While my food experience wasn't stellar on this visit, my order came out fairly quick. I might try dining in next time.

Excellent and enthusiastic staff. Nate was our server and he did an awesome job taking care of us. Don't really recommend the chilli, but the ribeye steak 12oz was perfectly cooked to a medium and juicy. Had three kids with us and servers took care of them with coloring pages and high chairs. Def recommend coming back.

Big variety of beers and very friendly stuff! Ambiance is beer house style and super cozy!

We came in to get out of the rain. We were visiting and only wanted some appetizers and drinks. Definitely liked the vibe of the place. Our waitress was nice and friendly. Loved that she didn't rush us! The cheese curds were my favorite. We ordered two things of the pretzel bites and lots of drinks. My husband really enjoyed his orange Jameson.

We had zero expectations as we wandered into this restaurant. We had spent a nice evening walking through the shops in South Lake Tahoe. To our surprise a lot of restaurants were closed on this particular day but we happened upon this restaurant and are so glad we did! What a nice, laid back, family friendly atmosphere. You walk down a flight of stairs (or take one elevator ride down) to the entrance of this restaurant and are seated right away. Food was good and served so quickly. We ordered the nachos, poke nachos, and fish and chips! Everything was delicious. The sauce on the poke nachos seriously made that dish memorable. And the batter on the fish and chips, as well as the consistency of the fish, was perfect! The fries were also pleasantly just so good (for lack of a better word). Everything hit the spot. I would definitely return here again in the future.

This is a great brewery and sports bar. The food and the service are good. The food is expensive imo. But it's a cool place.

I couldn't decide where to enjoy dinner for our last night in Tahoe and Stateline Brewery was the winner! There were 2 entrances and the space was very big. Highly recommended for large parties/groups. There were so many different options to choose from on the menu. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was not too sweet. My husband enjoyed a Mexican mule. Tequila instead of vodka. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fruit meledy. Besides the bun on the sandwich falling to pieces it was really good and fulfilling. My husband ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs. Everything was tender and the bbq sauce was pretty good. We had 4 in our party and only spent approximately $150 including some drinks. Definitely recommend this spot if you enjoy more food options and drinks.

Food and drinks were great! Burgers were excellent choice and highly recommend sweet potato tots! Nate's service was amazing and our group loved the atmosphere.

Kind of a mixed bag for this review. Their whiskey selection is otherworldly. Everything from $14 to $465. If you've heard of it they probably have it. Including some rare or very hard to find brands. (Pappy Vanwinkle!). Our two pizzas were very good. Thin crispy crust with lots of topping. Reuben sandwich was inedible (tough grisly meat and cold tots) and was returned. They took it off the bill without being asked. Pleasant atmosphere and excellent server made up for all.

Hello, generous portions and awesome service! My group enjoyed our salads and burger. My ahi salad was enough to literally feed three people. Heavy wine pour too. Recommend!

I love a good sports bar! There is seating outdoor by the fireplace or you can go downstairs into the restaurant with sports playing on the tv. The service was quick and knowledgeable. Our waitress was friendly and explained all the items on the menu. The food came out and it was big portions and tasted great. Cheese curds were good. The burger had a nice char to it. The Atlantic cod fish and chips were 2 huge pieces of fish. Overall this place did not disappoint.

Tried their fireside margarita and loved it! My boyfriend and his brother and law had beers which they also enjoyed! A lot of options for kids as well, ordered a hot dog and fries which is kid approved! Service was amazing, all servers were super kind and attended us well! Restaurant has a great feel, lighting and music makes the whole experience enjoyable.

Went in for a quick dinner and drinks and ended up having the best time! The service was very fast and our waiter was very knowledgeable about all the different drink options. We loved that there were games that you could grab and play at the table it made things even more fun! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick dinner!

Had such an Amazing experience at Happy Hour here! Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. He gave our dog a nice bowl of water and one of the bartenders gave him a milk bone. The $8 HH Old Fashioneds were perfect! The $10 HH 2-topping pizza was a great bar pie: super crispy crust, loads of cheese and toppings, and a surprisingly tasty red sauce. Inside was very relaxed and comfortable and super awesome that they are so dog-friendly!

We left a really loud bar to find a place to watch the Giants game, not Monday Night Football. We sat at the bar and asked the most excellent bartender, Joey to put the game on. Much obliged! The place was not busy and Joey kept us entertained. Very engaging and quite personable. Plus he pours a great drink. Hubs had a cheesesteak sandwich. He said it could have used more meat but he liked it. I had a cob salad which was huge and very good. I ended up bringing half back to the hotel. Very cool vibe and we loved it. Thanks Joey!

This place is Massive. I mean it is such a big restaurant there's several ways to enter it. Over 500 different bourbons & then there's lots of beers and other drinks. I ordered the kiva cooler - it's pretty but I would never order that again nor recommend it to anyone. I asked our server (when she finally came over about 14 min after we were seated by a not very friendly hostess) how the drink was, she said it was pretty good. Meh. Don't order it unless you enjoy drinking potpourri. Hubs ipa was good at least. The half order ... HALF order of the artichoke dip was deliciously flavored but it was barely warm. It comes in a bread bowl so it's mostly bread...when you finish the dip (quickly) you are left with plain bread. Maybe bring some butter too? Our server didn't check on us so we didn't get to ask. It wasn't that busy when we arrived about 445 on a Sunday - the tvs were VERY loud so if you're not into sports, good luck having a conversation if you are seated near a tv. We didn't order anything else as we weren't impressed with what we had first and it was way too loud. Beautiful and super cool location, maybe we'd come back another day & try something else. maybe. ......We ended up walking down the road to the libation lounge by South Lake Tahoe brewing co.

Absolutely delicious food, prompt service and great choice of foo options. Ambiance is fun and the outside fire pits are so cozy that it makes it a perfect date night setting.

You would think the "bacon jam burger" would be jammed up with bacon instead of 1 strip cut in 3... the service is good! Just disappointed with the portions.

Really good fish tacos and pork belly bites. The rest of the food we tried was pretty average. Service was not the most friendly and the place had a bunch of dirty tables when we came in.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago (6 of us). I had been to the restaurant before (~5 times total). The restaurant is in the basement level of a building so no natural light. It's set up as a gastropub type setting with the brewing equipment visible against one of the walls. It's a fairly large restaurant but does tend to get pretty busy on the weekends. The service was okay, a bit slow at times given how busy it was. Very extensive menu, think American bar/pub fare. I've tried many things over the year. While nothing is "great," I've found everything to be good to very good. Nice to have this restaurant near the village. I'm sure I'll be back.

This place has great space for groups. Service was quick and attentive. The food is serviceable. Some of our party felt the burgers were a bit too greasy. Appreciated the gluten free options. Enjoyed the artichoke dip as an appetizer.

Great service and plenty of TVs to watch the game! Our server Kylie was friendly and attentive! Our kids are picky eaters and they enjoyed a classic pepperoni pizza .. it's not on the menu but we asked and they were happy to make it! They also have a great selection of flights so if you stop by try their mini flight!

Great beer and prime rib special is a steal! Service was top notch as well. Lil busy but for the location and timing we went expected, came back 2 nights in a row! Dim lit and spacious seating. Look forward to coming again next time in south lake tahoe!

Came here after everywhere else had a huge wait time. We got seated in the outdoor patio area with our dogs and were at this low round table. I just wanted a salad that day and they came out with this huge Cobb salad with large chicken. It was super hearty and filling, definitely good for dinner

Service and food was great! Had the ribs the first night. Great whiskey collection. We are back again for round 2.
