Yelp
Anybody who has ever lived in Staten Island knows this mall is about one of the only things to do on this island. I have been coming here for years and working on the weekends here since 2009. I have seen my share of stores come and go. Some stores have remained consistent while others did not make it. Here it goes:
OVERALL:There is definitely a lot more variety of where to shop then there was two years ago. When it comes to MAKEUP this mall does pretty good. It has Sephora, MAC, Keiko. and Aveda. Also there is a Sears, Macys and JCpenny so there are definitely options when it comes to big department stores. There are also stands along the isles that offer more choices and they all vary to custom T-Shirts to paintings, phone cases etc. There mall is two levels and there is plenty to do.
FOOD: As we know this is extremely important. So being the food lover that I am I am going to list what is available to eat and what is in the food court
Restaurants: Red Robin, Applebees, East Pacific Chinese [a little pricey and upscale, review pending will try again soon] and although not in the mall right outside of the second floor of sears there is a TGIF, Panera Bread, and Outback Steakhouse
Food Court: Greenleafs, Master Wok Chinese, Nathans. Classis Deli, Japanese, Cajun Cafe, Italian/Pizza, Arthur Treachers, Sushi, Taco Bell/KFC, Burger King
PRICE: Every store obviously varies in price but sales are very promoted in this mall which is a very good thing.
JEWELRY: Gold Mine [sells Alex and Ani], Helzberg, Kay, Zales, and a couple others but those are the main stores that run good promotions.
THERE IS AN APPLE STORE. Many people need this at times and this is useful. As well as a Starbucks that gives free WiFi.
PARKING: Sometimes it can be veryyyyy difficult to find decent parking but there is always parking at the mall. You may have to walk what seems half a mile but there is definitely somewhere for you car to fit.
TRANSPORTATION: The s44, s59, s61, and s79 all go to this mall so it is very accessible especially from the Staten Island ferry. About 40 minutes away from there.
ACCESSIBILITY: There are escalators only no stairs and one elevator in the middle entrance to the mall. There are lots of entrances to this mall so make sure you pay attention to where you came from because this is a sure way to get lost or confused...outside the mall not inside
CAR EMERGENCY!? There is a sears auto center that is pretty quick with service so if something every happened they are there to assist.
Many of the stands you will see in more than one wing in the mall so do not worry about where you are going you are not lost, there are just too many. You will see three or four auntie annies and piercing pagodas [a couple on each floor] and will think that you made a wrong turn, its almost impossible to do so since the mall is in the shape of a T. No worries!
ITS NOT TOO SHABBY, SO DEFINITELY STOP BY!
