It is so beautiful sculpture, so huge and precisely made. I am so glad I have visited this place despite it was pretty hardly approachable by walking. Way from Colmar is lead through industrial zone and in the end you must run over roundabout to reach this impressing statue of liberty.

Very beautiful place, worth the trip. I didn't expect to see the Statue of Liberty in this place, I was pleasantly surprised. A wonderful and lively city with many places to visit.

The place where the journey through the fairytale city of Colmar begins. Nearby there is a convenient supermarket parking lot where you can leave your car. Thanks to the sculptor Bartholdi for his work

Did you know? This resin statue is a 12-meter-high replica of the Statue of Liberty. It was sculpted as part of the commemoration of the centenary of the death of the artist Auguste Bartholdi (1834-1904), a native of Colmar and creator of "Liberty Enlightening the World." A series of initiatives and events, as well as numerous demonstrations, have been planned in Colmar to mark the anniversary of his death. Among these, the Municipality of Colmar has chosen to install this replica of the Statue of Liberty at the northern entrance to the city. It is intended to honor the most prestigious of Colmar residents and to pay tribute to the work of art that undoubtedly remains the most famous in the world. This statue is also an additional link with the United States, already symbolized since 1986 by the signing of a twinning pact between Colmar and the university town of Princeton, located not far from New York.

We have stopped by just for fun. It’s a replica created in 2004 which is not the same size as the original figure. I have seen several replicas and this is bigger the other. If you have some free time before your flight you can stop by.

We spotted the mini Statue of Liberty in Colmar while driving by, such a fun and unexpected sight! It’s a perfect stop to learn more about its history and connection to New York. A cool little landmark with interesting background and symbolism. Such a cool surprise when leaving Colmar.

Visited this gem on the 4th of July and honestly? Best decision ever. Forget New York’s version — overcrowded, overrated, and overpriced. Colmar’s Statue de la Liberté was absolutely free, and I didn’t have to dodge a single obnoxiously loud tourist. She may be smaller, but she’s mighty — and way more photogenic without the background chaos. Bonus: you get a full 360° view without even leaving the comfort of your air-conditioned SUV.

It is located in the center of a roundabout, so very dangerous to get close. Witnessed already 2 accidents in 5 minutes at the roundabout where 2 cars collided with each other (maybe French driving?) best is to go around by car like video I added and record :)
