Stavanger Bed & Breakfast

Nice place to stay. Cheap and the staff is very friendly. Our room had a shower but the toilets are shared.

Easy uphill walk from train station, however, I was hoping for a b&b feel. The outside is a great colour but inside is stark white with very small hallways. One bathroom on the 3rd floor for about 7 rooms. Clean. My room had 4 twin beds squeezed in. The staff are great and friendly. Breakfast was not included! I had read the reviews about a great breakfast, but after paying an extra 95 NOK, received a small typical European style breakfast. Fine but didn't purchase for the second day. Okay for staying if just want a place to sleep.

Even though I had a confirmation email confirming my stay, the hotel incorrectly changed my reservation to be for the next night. They were luckily able to squeeze me into a room when I arrived anyways but then sent me an email the next day asking when I’d be arriving. Not a very organized reservation system so make sure to confirm a few times if you book online. Overall the room is what you pay for but I wouldn’t stay here again if given the choice.

Staff was friendly and nice, helpful front desk, it's easy to travel to central as well

Room smelt terrible, we had to move the bed to place a cot in the room for our daughter found a box of used condoms under the bed, Gross Place not clean shower did not drain at all. Breakfast was OK however for what we paid I would have eaten elsewhere

Good value for the price, but some things were bit backwards. Depending on a room, you might end up in basement (it looks and smells like one), or in weirdly put together room, with shower right there, no door separating it. Toilets were my biggest issue, because they are in main hallway, right by the reception, no quick middle of the night peeing. Very nice and helpful staff, good deal for breakfast, location is close to everything and walkable. I did not have a car, but I know there was a parking issue if you had a car. Laundry is available, but dryer isn't the best.

I've had a great time in Norway for 2 weeks now and really hoped I wouldn't have to give a negative review. The only good things about this place are the breakfast and location. Facilities are not great, staff are inconsiderate and the booking system and general organization is also sub par. Stavanger is a great town, but I won't stay at the Stavanger B&B when I return.
