Good location (near train station). Good price - an adult is paying 150 NOK. Child is for free. Well organized museum. Interesting exhibitions. Short explanations so do not expect knowledge or history digging. There is also a playground for kids where you take a break. With the ticket from Stavanger Museum you can visit other Museum as well but... The problem is they are open till 3 and 4 PM. I managed to visit 2 at the same day.

Amazing museum, this is how every city museum should look. 🌟 The exhibition on the top floor is interactive, showcasing each century and significant events in the city in a very dynamic way, featuring art from local authors. 🎨 Additionally, there are exhibitions about human embryos and their development, a children's toy museum, and a display of animal models. 👼🧸🦌 On the lower floor, there are also real stuffed birds. 🐦. Entrance for student is FREE. 👨‍🎓

Interesting exhibits and its located within the same compound with the childrens museum so you could do both at the same time. Had free entry as it was a special Sunday so that was a treat. Some interesting exhibits showing Norway's cultural and fauna history.

Nice little museum. Good information about the local biodiversity of Rogaland. Good for kids to spend some time indoors if it’s bad weather outside. Special area with history of toys was interesting.

In the center of the city, this museum has a good selection of permanent and temporary exhibitions. It has a very well done exhibit of local fauna, with some stuffed animals you can touch to experience how their fur feels. The exhibit of bunad (national outfit) and its history is excellent, but I believe it is temporary. And top of all of that the staff are very friendly.

The museum was great to visit and learn all about the local area and its heritage. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful and advised us that the fee for entry covers other museums in the area. There was a lot on display here across multiple floors with lots of information displayed. It took around an hour to get through the museum.

Interesting exhibition of Stavanger through the years. Bits and pieces of other exhibits: the life of 10 year olds over the centuries, natural history, zooming in on some species. Bit ecclectic and information in English sometimes limited but wortwhile a visit.

A lovely museum with a variety of exhibits. Good translation for English speaking visitors. The staff were kind and the café was nice. Great for all ages!
