Thon Partner Stavanger Forum Hotel (Stavanger, Rogaland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Fresh from a full renovation in 2024, Thon Partner Stavanger Forum Hotel is now as sharp inside as its skyline-defining exterior. At 21 floors, it is the tallest hotel in town, with wraparound views from the top-floor restaurant and lake Mosvatnet just down the road. Interiors are crisp and contemporary, with a variety of room types suited to solo travelers, and families alike. Located next to the Siddis Center and a short hop from the city center, it is both practical and impressively placed." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel is located comedy to a beautiful park with wonderful walking paths through an abundance of trees next to a body of water. The rooms were fresh, nicely adorned. Beds super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding on the 21st level of the hotel. You can enjoy magnificent views of the city while enjoying your breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this nice hotel. The room was super clean and decent size. Smart TV was also available! The reception was friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast buffet and the nice view that you can enjoy looking out direction the ocean! A big plus for us was that our small puppies ( 2 Maltese) were allowed to come with us to the breakfast area. which isn't normal for Norway!!! In this regard, they should definitely have some changes at least at the different hotels throughout the country. All in all I give this hotel 5 stars because it definitely deserves it. Even it was a little pricey... but what isn't expensive in Norway anyways. Lol

Minus: In my room there was this partially open hatch in the ceiling in the bathroom. The room is pretty small so you have to be creative when storing your clothes on the clothing rack. Also there are very few power outlets in the room. They are only by the bed, so when using the kettle I had to use it in the bathroom. In my friends room they never restocked the toiletries. If you like having the window open you'll hear seagulls early in the morning at the nearby roof. They didn't acknowledge my Thon Platinum membership with even a water bottle before I asked them.||Plus: Got my friends room upgraded (I think). He had toiletries and bathrobes, but they were actually trying to charge for the upgrade at reception by a price list. Anyway, my friend loved his room. Both of our rooms were wrapped around the elevator but we didn't hear anything, nor from the neighbours. Everything was clean. It's not in the city center so it's perfect if you have a car, and there are lots of parking spaces nearby for a reasonable price. The breakfast is amazing, like most Thon Hotels properties. The view is really great too, looking at the sunrise while eating breakfast, too bad the floor is closed outside of breakfast.

Stayed for a single night. Rooms were decent. Rain against the large windows were a little louder than expected but other than that it was fine. There's paid parking in a garage nearby since the hotel itself doesn't have a parking garage. Breakfast was pretty good though especially since it has a good view.

The hotel is clean and staff are polite and professional. ||Avoid room 2005 on the 20th floor if you don’t want woken up at 05:45 each morning. The staff set out all the chairs in the breakfast room (directly above on 21st floor). Very noisy and can hear chairs being moved around even with ear plugs in. ||The food in the Restaurant (Level 2) is good but a very small limited menu that was the same for two nights in a row.

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. I slept really well during my four-night stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a burger and fries in the hotel restaurant one night and it was very tasty. The price of the stay was a very good value for what I paid, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience.

*Updated* I had an issue with a duplicate booking caused by a technical error. Unfortunately, at first the hotel did not respond to my messages, which was disappointing. However, after escalation the management personally looked into the matter, arranged the refund, and assured me that procedures will be improved to avoid such cases in the future. In the end, the issue was resolved and I appreciate the hotel’s effort to correct the situation.

It is, in a word or two, a rat hole. It's close to the convention center, which means it is remote from much of everything else. The room cleaning crews are not up to the task, and the front desk receptionists also serve as bartenders. Needless to say, they do both jobs poorly. Update: Based on the response from the manager, they seem to be clueless as well. He's right though - I am "from the country where hotels are run by competent people and the reception staff is trained to attend to the guests instead of talking on a headphone glassy-eyed". To add to the review - here's a look of the "ready room" I found upon arrival. Two ⭐ is being generous, Lars. Manage better.
