The desserts were the 🌟🌟🌟 Stay Gold Flamingo
Starting with munchies, we ordered padron peppers 🫑 as well as sourdough with bulalo butter 🧈 & a spring onion dip on the side🤪 Both were really tasty 👅 especially those peppers 🫑, they were highly addictive & my fam loveeedd it so much, we ordered 3 portions🤡🤡
For appetisers, we got the scallop ceviche, I’d say it was pretty fresh! Sauce that accompanied the scallops weren’t too overpowering either👍🏻 Slightly tangy & refreshing I’d say😋
Onto the mains, tacos 🌮 were😚😚😚 Could you guess which I took first? 🍄 or 🐟? Hehehe of course the fishy!!!🐟 Seafood always comes first for me🤭 Don’t get me wrong though, both 🍄 & 🐟 were very well executed & flavours were so on point🙌🏻
🍄🌮 came with oyster mushrooms🍄, lacto ferment pico de gallo, jalapeños, coriander🌿 & mayonnaise and 🐟🌮 comes with locally-sourced golden snapper 🐟, sambal matah 🌶️, jalapeño, coriander🌿 & mayonnaise😝
Was disappointed with the Wagyu & X.O. rice though 😢 Expected the wagyu cubes to be tender & melt in your mouth 👄 but it was the opposite:( Truffle did make this dish rlly aromatic!👃🏻
On the bright side, it’s time for desserts!!! Perfect way to end da meal🤟🏻🤟🏻 It was surprisingly sooo good in my opinion‼️
The buko pie came with a coconut 🥥 custard between those buttery 🧈 layers of puff pastry, then topped off with buttery 🧈 yet crunchy koko kanu rum crumble & a pretty purple shade of ube ice cream 🍨💜 Really liked how there’s a warm & cold element here😜
On first impression, the champorado balls looked unassuming🤔🧐🤨 However, after the first bite, woahh not what I expected!! Could pretty much say it’s a flavour bomb cause I stuffed the whole thing in my mouth🤣 but don’t be like me, I almost burnt myself🫣It consists of risotto rice 🍚, toasted milk 🥛 & a drizzle of coffee ☕️ syrup!!😌
