"Formerly an ironmonger's shop and residence, this terraced townhouse was given a new coastal-chic lease of life by the enterprising Felix and his family. They gutted the interiors (cleverly incorporating the original wrought-ironwork and 1930s tiles where possible), and reconfigured the rear elevation to create a simply stylish apart-hotel, which opened in 2015. Floors are white-washed, wooden and wicker furniture has been reclaimed and restored, and the painted bed headboards are a lovely touch. Arranged over 4 floors are 5 one and 2-bedroom apartments, all with terraces or patios and well-equipped kitchenettes for easy self-catering. The two largest also share the roof terrace, which has views across Santa Catalina to the harbour. Uncluttered white interiors with splashes of blue, red or green induce instant relaxation, and there's lots of space to unwind. If cooking feels like a chore, breakfast baskets are available on request, or there are a wealth of eateries in the neighbourhood. Palma's oldest and best market is just 100m away - the artisanal heart of the area. We had a fantastic 7 night stay at StayCatalina Boutique Apartments in one of the ground floor studios. From arrival, Felix was very welcoming and keen to explain the local area. Our flight had been delayed for over 3 hours and this was not a problem. The apartment was exactly how it is in pictures, if not better. The bed is extremely comfortable, plenty of pillows too and blackout curtains for a great sleep. The kitchen is well equipped, has a dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave. The terrace is a lovely space, although we weren't so lucky with the weather so didn't get as much use of it as we could have. Brilliant location, close to the port and can walk into centre of Palma within 20 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and bars along this walk to stop by. The area surrounding the apartment is also fantastic, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from if you didn't want to go into Palma. Turpial Cocktail Bar, Jonny's Dhaba, Vermuteria La Rosa, 0es3 and many more all within minutes walk. Only thing worth noting, which we also knew in advance, is the parking around the apartment can be difficult. The apartment is in a blue paid zone, meaning you pay in two hour blocks (free on Saturday evenings and all of Sunday). If you just cross Carrer d'Espartero, this is the white zone which is free and if you are lucky you can find a space 3 minutes walk from the apartment. You can also be unlucky and be driving in circles hoping someone leaves a space at the right moment. That being said, a car is not necessary, unless you want to explore more rural areas of the island. All in all, the place is fantastic and we would love to stay again in the future.

We had the 80m2 2 bedroom 2 bathroom appartment on the 2nd floor. Very nice appartment, good location close to the harbour and only 10 minutes walk from the center, far enough away from all the noise and that for a very reasonable price. The owner was very helpfull when we asked about restaurants, beaches or how to use the bus. Thank you Felix.

An amazing stay at Stay Catalina. Apartments are amazing. Clean well laid out, large and spacious and close to Palma old town. Felix is a fantastic friendly host who cannot do enough and the other staff are all amazing. Thank you so much for a memorable first stay in Palma !!!

The perfect base for exploring Palma in a great location in Santa Catalina which is full of restaurants and bars. The apartment is really well done and is a true home from home. Complimentary bike rental is a big plus and fun way to explore along the beach bike path. Felix, the owner is available daily for any questions but really you have everything you need for a wonderful stay in Palma.
