Staycity Aparthotels, London, Dalston

This has been my BEST stay in London up to date. The location is convenient, the staff is beyond friendly, and the rooms are equipped with everything that you need. From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of belonging. Everyone was kind, helpful, and joyous to be at their job - so much, that it made the end of my trip truly memorable. This was a last minute booking as I didn’t fancy commuting Monday-Friday for a course and I’m glad I did! Very convenient location, quiet apartment with equipment to make your own food easily. Shower was good, hot & everything by was clean. No complaints, will stay again for future courses I take in London

We really enjoyed our stay here, we chose it because we were attending the Beyonce concert at Tottenham and the hotel was centrally located for accessing the stadium by bus or tube - everything was so easy. EJ was fantastic checking us in and took time to explain how everything worked. The apartment was spotless and the bed super comfortable. Most of all, I loved how quiet the hotel was which made for a great nights sleep. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - the staff are so lovely and the apartments very modern and furnished to a high standard.

We stayed for one night in a studio apartment on the weekend. Very stylish, clean, cool stay in a great area. Love that they put a list of nearby bar/food/entertainment recommendations in the room! Two-ring hob, wine glasses, water glasses, crockery and cutlery in the room, as well as a (good!) hairdryer and iron. My partner and I loved the very low bed, but we're in our 20s so something to bear in mind if you have any mobility issues (mattress itself was very comfy).||Reception staff were lovely and enabled us to get an early check-in thanks to our room being unoccupied (if you can't get an early check-in, they let you store your luggage with them).||The only thing that made it less than 5 stars was the creaky lifts - I'm a bit of a wig-out when it comes to lifts, and they could use a tiny bit of TLC. Otherwise really great stay and we will be back!

Had to raise a complaint, room wasn’t clean. Multiple hairs on the bed, lots of dust around the room. I waited 90 minutes to finally get a response and some assistance and they then just sent someone to change the bedding who let us know that she wasn’t house keeping because they had gone home. The room is small but the bathroom and shower is tiny, it’s a real tight squeeze. The shower also smelt of damp. Also, the kitchen bin isn’t a bin, it’s a tiny little food container type bin and for an apartment where you’re encouraged to do your own cooking (and cleaning! They don’t have housekeeping during stays less than 7 days I believe) - it just is not sufficient for disposing of rubbish. They were apologetic and offered a 35% refund but to be honest it just wasn’t good enough. This is not a 4 star property to me at all. It’s 3 star, even without the issues. It’s quite loud outside as there are a few bars etc. I chose it as I needed to be somewhere close by the next morning but wouldn’t stay again unfortunately. The decor is nice but that was it really. The beds are also low beds close to the floor, just worth knowing that in advance.

There are several things I liked about my stay here. There were a lot of kitchen utensils/ cookware available which was appreciated for a longer stay to be able to cook. I also appreciated being able to check in early and staff were friendly. Areas for improvement is one, updating information on booking sites regarding their laundry room and gym availability. On trip.com as well as in the elevator and welcome card/info it discuss laundry facilities and gym. However when I went to use them they were not in order as their location had moved and they were still working on it. I shared this info with staff and at first there was back and forth that felt uncomfortable as they stated that their website or other booking sites don’t list laundry and they don’t have it. But when I showed them on trip.com that it is listed and other places in the hotel they apologized and tried to compensate me for laundry services I would pay for. So I did appreciate that. Other things, location close to train and bus options and lots of stores and restaurants near by. Room was mostly clean except the table and wish there was more natural sunlight available in my room. Overall would consider booking again if the price is still a better option, otherwise would go elsewhere until their services are fully available.

Booked direct and saved 10%. Fantastic studio, extremely well equipped, modern, clean and tidy. Very quiet due to triple glazing. Shame we couldn’t open the window, but then it would have been noisy as the building is on the main road in Dalston. Also, bed is a bit low if you have mobility issues, although not a problem for us. Ideal base for getting around, plenty of buses into Central London and the City. Also Overground just down the road. Would stay there again when visiting London.

This hotel is a great place. Great place, great people. Spent there almost 3 months while working in city, London. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Totally recommend! Will go back for sure.
