Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Oost (Zeeburg)

Very good value. Private Room available, spacious for the price. Only 2 Towels, but it’s Ok. The heating is not working at full capacity. Not very far from city center, by Tram 14, about 20 minutes.

I stayed here before with my university and I decided to book again for a trip with a friend, and I’m glad I did! The staff were really friendly and helpful. My friend’s suitcase was delayed and due to be delivered when we were out for the day but the staff at reception minded it until we got back. The room had everything we needed and we enjoyed that we could bring our own food and drink to the bar downstairs. We had booked a 2 person private room but they ended up giving us a 6 person room for just the two of us so we had loads of space! The tram and bus was very easy to access and we could get around the city easily. There are some nice shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

The staff is cool, the place also. Unfortunately there is not a kitchen, so take this into consideration. The hostel is far 50min walking from the center but there is a place where to rent bikes 20m from the hostel. Showers are large and in general everything is clean. There were many families during my stay.

We stayed in a Comfort Room. The building location is very well connected to public transports and near a lot of restaurants, fast foods and supermarkets. The lobby is beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was also ok and as expected. The only negative thing was the room temperature: the window let a lot of cold in and thus the room was quite cold when the outside temperature was about 2-3 C°. Overall it was a great and beautiful place considering the price.

Stayed the night here with my partner after a long day of travel. Staff was incredibly friendly and willing to assist with anything we needed. Many amenities are available for free, to rent or for purchase. Although we booked a 2person room due to lack of availability we were offered a 6 bed room all to ourselves! The hostel offers an array of activities and many local recommendations. The tram is a 4 minute walk away and only 25minutes from the center. Would highly recommend this place for not only groups but also solo travelers. There will always be something to do here!

Very nice environment and only 15mins from the busy city centre. There are lots of nice restaurants and coffeebars in the neighbourhood. The family room (6p) was clean, calm and spacious enough. We enjoyed the breakfast with 4 kids; they particularly enjoyed the buffet and ability to take their own juices :-)

Nice and clean rooms, good location, close to public transport, helpful front desk staff. Just one thing to be aware of if you're a light sleeper and want to do a lazy checkout, is that housekeeping does start after 10 a.m. and the cleaning itself is already pretty noticeable (cause of banging sounds) but the cleaning ladies themselves are also talking/laughing pretty loudly. So if you wake up easily from noises, I wouldn't recommend the lazy checkout. Otherwise, great place to stay.

Very comfy and nice Colors, very well organized. How ever the showers turns every seconds cold to warm in room 311. I don’t if it’s only our room or if it is in most of rooms but that is the only thing I saw.
