Nice hostel in a great location. I'm surprised that they haven't converted it In a more boutique like hostel. Rooms are basic but clean, but the beds where a little bit old and the mattress cover was a little bit torn. Showers came with a soap dispenser, which is always nice. Main problem for me was that the heating system was quite loud, so I decided to turn it off. I was lucky to travel when the weather was nice, but in winter or summer it would have probably be way to loud. Also I had a room close to the elevator which was also a little bit loud. I forgot to pack my earplugs, but with them it would have probably be okay. Staff was polite. Breakfast is included in the price. It was quite diverse for being an hostel, and it had also a lot of vegan option (even yogurt, which is not always easy to find). They did not have warm option, which I think is quite common in the Netherlands. Overall I had a positive stay and I can say that I spent the night in a cubic house.

Stayed here for a couple of nights while I was in Rotterdam. I would say the best part of this hostel was it's location. It was within the Cube House complex meaning that I was staying in an attraction itself and it was very close to a transportation hub, international market, and to the shopping area. The hostel did not have any kitchen facilities which sucked as I had hoped that they would have at least a fridge to store leftovers from my previous hostel. I was in a 7 bed female dorm with 5 bottom beds and 2 top beds. The lockers were not under the beds, rather they were in a separate area by the bathroom. The bathroom was split between a shower room, toilet room and the sink was across and in the open. The hallway was narrow making it hard for people to pass when trying to get ready in the morning etc. The hostel free breakfast was nice (especially the free coffee). They had a bar on site but didn't have any social activities. The hostel felt more like a cheap hotel rather than a hostel.

Very quirky place to stay. Amazing architecture. Staff are very friendly on check in. A good spread for breakfast and again friendly staff running breakfast. They have a bar/restaurant downstairs with a pool table. The rooms are basic but exactly what you'd expect in a hostel. The courtyard was full of tourist shops. Brilliant location for a tourist passing through. Clean tidy and friendly!

Stayokay Rotterdam is located in the famous kubuswoningen. The rooms have great views. Our room was on the South side of the building and windows didn’t open. It smelled really humid and bad in the room unfortunately. There was definitely not enough ventilation. Breakfast is included and was really quite good for a hostel with different kinds of bread, fruits and veggies and a lot of condiments. Staff is friendly and helpful.

No locks in rooms, you have to pay otherwise. No refrigerator for guests. Very bad service and basic rooms and beds for the price. No wifi connection in the room which is bad especially with a bad signal. The cubes looks nice and the location great but you wouldn't stay in this location for the looks. Would be a bad choice for a claustrophobic, and the room noise is torturing.

For 5 whole nights, the famed kubis, deemed by many a travel website to be Rotterdam’s #1 attraction - and a kip bone’s throw from the #2 attraction, was my kubis. Simply by arriving here you have done the 2 things and could go home satisfied. There are 2 balconies in the hostel facing north and I admired the tourists admiring the kubis then I admired the kubis. It was reciprocal, it was the Bhavacakra, the snake eating its tail, a mirror facing a mirror to reveal infinitely more mirrors. I said wow, they said wow. We are the same with the key difference that kubis is mine for 5 days. I am in thousands of pictures because this place has free coffee all day, a balcony, rainy weather, and is by far the most interesting thing in this city. A lethal recipe. Free breakfast, 11am checkout, €16 bike rental. The bike ride to The Hague is an excellent idea, don’t take anyone’s else’s advice on that.

Located in the iconic Cubes, an architectural highlight of Rotterdam. You can get private rooms (w private bath) or group rooms for cheaper. It’s located in the heart of Rotterdam, right across from the train station and the market. There is a lobby w a bar, pool table and terraces overlooking the city. They have rental bikes and access to every sort of touristy attraction. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are funky and weird and beds are surprisingly comfortable for bunkbeds. (The pillows are perfect imo) the place was full of travelers from all over the world, it’s a super fun place to stay!!

Rooms are too hot, too noisy. Service is good, but they said they’re not responsable for luggage on the storage. The breakfast is very good. Location is awesome.

Need a restroom break at the end of your Rotterdam Free Walking Tour? The Stayokay Hostel Rotterdam is open and available on the top floor of the Cube Houses....clean and no charge. Interesting to follow the funny signs that lead up the stairs to the toilets. Thanks to Stayokay Hostel and to our tour guide, Nidas, for this very useful trip especially on Sunday when many places were closed.
