Very nice hostel with options for families. The location is perfect, very close to the central station which you can use to get there from Amsterdam airport, but also in the heart of the city center. Service was very courteous, internal restaurant is nice. The rooms are very clean, some additional hanging space or shelving would definitively help for more comfort.

Racist behavior from the guy from the security guy on the night of the 23rd while I was on the sofa, let us be clear that to enter this spaces you need your room key, he only checked on me based on the color of my skin, and he even dare to say that for “safety reasons” he needed to see my reservation card. So if you are not white you represent a huge danger according to this guy and need to constantly show your reservation card. So if you want to be judge based on the color of your skin this is a right place to stay. If you are white don't worry you should be okay.

I booked a private room in April; it had basic amenities and was sufficient. The weather was chilly, but the heating was easy to use and effective. The hostel was easy to find and just a 5-6 minute walk, thanks to the shortcut through the shopping mall outside Utrecht Centraal, which they informed me about via email after my booking. The common areas are peaceful and comfortable, perfect for reading, studying, or chatting with friends. I especially loved their breakfast—it was rich and reasonably priced at the same time. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The staff is young and dynamic, and every team member, from the housekeepers to the bar and reception staff, did a great job. The location is unbeatable—central and very walkable. The neighbourhood was lively, but I didn't have any noise issues, either inside or outside the hostel. The team and management care about sustainability and green practices, which was a big plus.

When staying in Utrecht for business I always try and book a private room at the StayOkay. The location is perfect and I like the atmosphere - much preferable to the hotels in central Utrecht and usually cheaper too. And I don't mind taking the sheets off my bed in the morning!

I went for a hostel and unfortunately found a 5 story budget hotel in the style of a YMCA. The service: You have to put the sheets on your bed and and also take them off again at checkout. Like a YMCA. No introduction to the facilities was given which I would have liked. I didn't see a common area. There's a restaurant/ bar that's next to the reception and belongs to the hotel but in order to sit in it, you will have to order something. There's also NO KITCHEN. No common area. No hostel vibe. In order to get service, you'll have to pay for it. The rooms: I stayed in the 10 bed dorm. The beds are comfy (very soft but I like that). Unfortunately, there's only one sink in the room for all people and it's literally inside the main room so if someone wants to brush teeth the whole room will hear about it. The same was true when using the bathroom or shower. No real privacy and pretty loud. The noise level: Pretty high during the night. You have the sound from the bar and the surrounding bar area which was even heard up in the 5th floor. The guests: A lot of young party people (below 25) and some families. Not the typical backpacking crowd which can be good and bad. I wasn't a fan of it. Staff: Overall nice and very helpful when asked. A bit more information about the hotel and Utrecht at the beginning would have been nice. Location: 100% smack in the centre.

We stayed here as a family with two small kids in the Miffy Room in October. In our opinion it is a great place to stay for families and we can fully recommend it.||Hostel: The location of the hostel is great - very close to all sights in the center of Utrecht. The staff were very helpful and friendly both at reception and in the restaurant. ||Room: We really liked the Miffy Room - it was spacious and clean. Additionally there were toys our kids enjoyed. Also tickets for the Miffy Museum were included. The room is not facing the square in front of the hotel which is an advantage in our opinion. We heard some noise but it was not a problem and it didn’t keep the kids up.||Restaurant: The 5th was had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the food and service were good. The breakfast was basic but nothing was missing.

Great location and vibe in the connected restaurant. It was about a 10 minute walk to the central station and right across from the public library (great place to have a peaceful time or wait for your room to be ready!) There is free luggage storage downstairs - just ask for a key from the front desk- although you can pay for a locker if you are worried about your bags. I did the free storage and had no problems During my stay, the roof was being worked on so there was scaffolding outside and I was warned about potential noise in the morning. I never heard anything, but I appreciated the warning The restaurant is a great place to get a cheap beer or to join in on a game night or one of their other events! I stayed in a 6 bed female room. The shower and toilet are behind separate doors in the room and they were clean. I liked that they use bamboo toilet paper as well! In the shower there is a nice place to hang your clothes and towel which some other hostels seem to forget about Overall, a great stay and I wish I could’ve stayed here longer. Utrecht is a really good location for taking a train to other Dutch areas and also for exploring Miffy/Nijntje’s home! My recommendations for the area include - a free walking tour of the city (don’t forget to tip though) - the Miffy / Nijntje museum! (book your tickets in advance!) - Nuts Vintage - the Dom - Museum Speelklok - the main library (I know the entrance is a bit overwhelming)

The hostel is located in the city centre, which makes everything really accessible. The rooms were well-equipped and had everything a traveler might want. The staff was very positive and helpful, and we felt welcomed from the first moment :)
