I gave this hotel a 3 star because I truly believe good service is everything and the face of the hotel. Having someone smiling and greeting you as you walk in the door makes the first impression. Upon arriving to Stay Pineapple, we were greeted with the opposite. Very unfriendly staff and very unhelpful. The rooms were adorable, the decor etc. the beds and separate blankets were amazing. The shower was hot and great water pressure. We loved that we got two coasters for complimentary drinks. Unfortunately we were also the room directly over the bar so the music got REAL loud at night. That made it hard to fall asleep. All in all, cute neighborhood. Only a 20 min walk to Newbury St. Berkeley coffee around the corner was great! The only thing that could have made it better was the service and a higher floor.

I chose this hotel through the Capital One points program and was really impressed by all the amenities and descriptions for its price. Stayed for 2 nights a week ago. I reached out via email a few days in advance to ask if they could hold my baggage and got almost an immediate positive response. I arrived around 12pm and even though my check in time was 4pm, i got a very warm welcome at the host stand and was offered to check in on the spot without any additional fee. Location was easy to find, hotel lobby was very cute and vibrant. Room was super cozy and had everything i needed. A pineapple theme was dominant everywhere and as i said was super extra cute. Upon arrival i got 2 vouchers for a free drink for me and my mother, they could be used for a bar drink after 4pm (if i am not mistaken) or redeemed for a soda or wine drink from a fridge. In the room there was a cute complimentary reusable water bottle. Coffee and tea pods for Keurig machine were also complimentary. We were asking for a refill each day at the host station. Walkable distance to almost everything! Discovered a great wine bar with an awesome happy hour 5minutes away from hotel - Barcelona Wine Bar. Dined at a Reunion BBQ as well, very affordable and tasty! Did not have a chance to drink& dine at their adjacent bar but i bet it is awesome! Enchanted by this hotel chain, will definitely consider choosing Pineapple in other cities as well.

Actually pretty cute and loved the proximity to everything. Plus the two separate comforters is what every hotel should have! However, our room (corner room) had a horrible draft coming from one of the windows making the room cold and noisy which was annoying. Overall I’d suggest this hotel for the location, having the orange and green line within walking distance and all the amazing food nearby as well.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It is in a great location: walking distance to a lot of stores and restaurants. Also, it’s in a very quiet and safe part of the city. Parking was a little confusing at first, as we parked at the parking garage. It was night when we arrived so it was hard trying to find the way back to the hotel. If you park there, ensure you take your ticket with you. The bed was so comfy, and the temperature and amenities were perfect. The only thing we didn’t enjoy as much was the small bathroom and the water pressure of the shower. We had to stand under the shower head just to feel the water. However, with such prime real estate, we understood why it was so small. The restaurant/bar was booming every time we came down, full of fun vibes and nice people. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.

I chose this hotel via Expedia for my trip to Boston. I was really impressed by all the amenities and descriptions for its price. Stayed for 1 night but it was amazing!! We arrived at 2pm and even though my check in time was 4pm, i was offered to check without any additional fee which was great! I will definitely consider choosing it in other cities as well.

Google
What a fantastic gem!! In the heart of back bay, south end. Absolutely beautiful little boutique hotel. Charles greeted us, gave us complimentary drinks, all the information and we arrived in our room to see it was immaculate and inviting. Also??!! Dogs are welcome here. There was a puppy named Dakota in the foyer. Just divine. The bar is super pleasant, music, lots of people frequent here, but you wouldn't know if you were just in your room. It's practically I'm just loving this place. I miss the city. Everything is super close by. Got my truffle fix from prudential and my Irish fix from Sweeny. Just come here and enjoy. Very open minded environment. If you are a bigot or anti anything....don't bother. These guys are joyous and friendly and I'm grateful it exists.

I booked a one-night stay here for my grandmother before a flight out of town. She raved about how beautiful the hotel was and how comfortable the room was--particularly the soft fluffy bedding. She also loved having such a dog friendly place to stay with her little chihuahua companion.

I am currently staying at Staypineapple as I write this review, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, despite it being winter, the room was unbearably hot. When we attempted to use the air conditioning to cool it down, we discovered it was broken. Housekeeping was unresponsive, showing little understanding of the issue and an alarming lack of urgency to resolve it. Instead of a proper solution, we were handed a small portable heater and fan—an inadequate response to the situation. Additionally, the room itself is riddled with issues. The sink is so tiny that washing my face causes water to spill everywhere, and there is a glaring two-inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, compromising both privacy and comfort. To make matters worse, the actual room looks nothing like the photos advertised online. For the price point, this hotel fails to meet even basic standards of quality and service. There are far more affordable options in the area that offer superior amenities and a much better overall experience. I strongly advise against staying here. Proceed with caution.

Yelp
I had a passing familiarity with the Staypineapple hotel chain from having a quick breakfast in the lobby of their San Francisco location. It looked nice, so when Jamie W and I took our first trip to Boston together, we decided to stay at this boutique hotel in the South End. It was an area that appealed to us because we heard it was LGBTQ-friendly. Both the South End and Back Bay neighborhoods are full of trendy bars and eateries. We reserved a Back Bay King on the sixth floor for three nights at about $346 per night. The name refers to the view afforded by the room. We liked the cheeky decorative touches based on their pineapple concept. This included the complimentary cookies in the lobby (photo: https://yelp.to/PM2GVZVie7). Everything was immaculately maintained. However, I have to admit the room felt pretty crowded, especially with the abundant amount of bedding provided. The bathroom was similarly claustrophobic. So were the hallway and lobby for that matter with room for just one front desk staff member. The adjoining bar cafe, the Trophy Room, offers complimentary wine upon check-in. Yelp
Fun theme throughout and great staff. The welcome we got was warm and super friendly. Easy to navigate and the rooms are cozy, but quite comfortable. Having the chromecast is a great feature since it makes it so easy to watch anything we are used to at home, made for a much easier trip with a toddler. The european style comforters also are a great touch for couples. Overall the staff was great, the hotel was great albeit cozy, quiet neighborhood and quiet AC. Loved the neighborhood park at the end of the street too! Should out to the front desk and housekeeping for locating our toddler's pillow and saving it for us!

Yelp
This hotel is very cute and I loved the fact it was so dog friendly. Unfortunately, though I was not traveling with my furry friends. Upon entering, the lobby is fairly small and attached to the Trophy bar/restaurant. The room was super cute, and one of my favorite features was the separate duvet covers for a king size (genius). However, I could definitely see how a larger sized human could find the room, mostly the bathroom/shower a bit small. One downfall was we were in a room labeled "non-smoking" and cigarette smell lingered the halls and stairways. They don't have essentials available like most hotels (tooth paste/toiletries) etc, they do however have a fridge with items that could be purchased and free water bottles. Boston has different alcohol laws so it also should be noted that you cannot purchase alcohol from the fridge after midnight -however again, that was not explained nor a sign anywhere. Overall it was cute, but not really my favorite.

Yelp
We booked this hotel from a 3rd party site for 2 nights in June. The location was good and we were easily able to walk to Fenway Park, Boston Common, and Faneuil Hall; each in less than 30 minutes. It's basically a boutique hotel. The front desk is unconventional looking in a tiny lobby. All the attendants were helpful and pleasant. We were able to check in a few hours early and store our luggage for a bit after checking out. (Both were quick and smooth processes.). There is a daily resort fee which covers internet, unlimited bottled waters, and pineapple infused water daily in the lobby. The room was immaculately clean, but kind of tiny. There are no closets; just wall hooks and drawers under the bed, sufficient for a 2 night stay. Everything in the room was pineapple-themed; the ceiling, the decorative pillow, even the extra t.p. In the bathroom. There was a cute pineapple-dressed dog on the bed that you could purchase. (If we had small kids or grandkids we probably would have taken him home.). They also had 2 pretty & comfy yellow pineapple robes we could lounge in....a nice touch! The bed was comfy and the shower had all the necessary amenities. The only drawback to the room was that it was rather small and no additional seating besides the bed. There is also a bar/restaurant attached to the hotel that opened at 4pm. We had a few drinks and had the nachos....they were delicious and a large serving. There was a dj hosting trivia the night we were there. We played and we won ....super fun! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want something convenient to many of Boston's attractions. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

Yelp
The bed was soooo comfortable. Room extremely clean. All around adorable. Love the commitment to the pineapple theme The staff were so sweet and accommodating. The location is super close (5-7 min walk) to the Back Bay (orange) station. There is a daily fee, which a lot of Boston hotels have but it was one of the lowest and actually was for something... FREE welcome cocktail/drink, bike rentals, water bottle + water bottle service, sugar cookies, etc. Would % come back again.

Yelp
Delightful is the perfect word to describe my stay at this hotel!! I had a two night stay in early January 2023 and it was so fun and cozy - I just loved it! All the staff were more than helpful and so friendly - rooms are super clean and so cute, and the location is fantastic! I attended a conference in Boston and I had a king corner room for myself and a regular king room for a student that was attending with me. Those are basically the only two room types they have and the rooms were pretty much exactly the same except for the views/windows. The corner king room has two windows and the regular room just has one. That was truly the only difference I could find. And yes, the rooms are definitely much smaller than your typical American hotel - very similar to European style sizes - with no fridges, microwaves, or even chairs lol. There just isn't room for anything extra. There is a folding desk and small stool but isn't very comfortable and takes up a lot of space. I really hate not having a fridge or microwave usually - and it almost caused me to avoid this hotel but I'm so glad I decided to stay...bc the coziness and location more than make up for it! I loved it here and would definitely stay again. Their beds are so comfy - sheets and pillows are soft and cushy - I slept SO GOOD! Even with all the street noise outside - I still slept great and I'm a very light sleeper. I think maybe their blinds help cut down the noise too but not sure. They have Keurig coffee makers and give you access to unlimited bottles of water and coffee and coffee accompaniments - all of which is included in their $15/night "resort fee" - so it's not really free. But I drink tons of water so I definitely got my $15 worth out of it lol. They also say that "high speed WiFi" is included in the fee. And it is definitely good WiFi for streaming and stuff - but only when it's working, which for my stay was about 75% of the time - so not too bad. Another feature I loved was the TV in the room allows screen casting so you can watch all your fave phone apps on the TV! And they have these adorable little stuffed dogs in the room to keep you company and cuddle you - and if you "adopt" the stuffed animal, a portion of the $25 fee is donated to local animal rescues! A very worthy cause! When you check in, they give you a special drink coaster that is good for one free drink in their restaurant/bar called The Trophy Room (alcoholic or non) or one item from their little snack cooler. So this was a nice touch. The rooms have both A/C and heat. The water pressure and temp in the shower was excellent!! The water pressure is so good that they even have adjustable controls that let you make the pressure stronger or weaker to your preference! I was so impressed! And their bath products are Tommy Bahama with a very tropical smell and were great quality. Location is fantastic- close to Back Bay metro stations and within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. All in all I had a great stay and would happily stay again next time I'm in Boston!

Yelp
I am currently staying at the staypineapple as I write this review. My partner and I got to the hotel and although it is winter the rooms were so hot that we had to turn on the AC. We then discovered the AC was broken and when we call housekeeping- they did not understand what was going on nor seemed to care or have any semblance of urgency to fix it. They provided us with one small portable heater and fan. The sink is so small when I wash my face water drips out of it and there is a two inch gaping hole between the bottom of the door and the floor. The actual room is wildly different from the photos. I will strongly warn against staying here and there are more affordable hotels in the area with significantly better amenities and service. Please book with caution.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! It is located in a great neighborhood and all the staff were very friendly. It is also about a 10 minute walk to the Back Bay train station. It is advertised on the website, but just keep in mind that the rooms are very small! This didn't bother my husband and I since we were out exploring all day for the length of our week stay. There are compartments under the bed where you can slide your suitcases into to make more walking space. Upon arrival, we were greeted with cookies and two coasters that were "coupons" for a free drink each at their restaurant, The Trophy Room. This place gets super busy on most days and we enjoyed the atmosphere when we got our drinks there. Another bonus that we loved about this hotel is that they offer unlimited bottles of water. Not many hotels offer this, so we adventurers loved having unlimited water available for our long days! Definitely check out this hotel if you're looking for a nice stay in Boston!

Yelp
My wife and I travel often with our dogs. We normally stay in dog friendly Air BnBs in small towns and dog friendly hotels in larger cities. I specifically picked this hotel as they advertise themselves as loving and welcoming all dogs. They provide you with dog beds, treats, bowls, and even have a donations to a local dog shelter program. However, they do not practice what they preach. We stayed here for 5 nights, first two nights no issues. On Friday morning, a front desk associate said to me that they had a guest complain that dogs were barking around 11pm and they tried to calll...fyi that didn't happen, no missed calls. Completely understand the complaint, people are trying to sleep. We than went to eat at 1217pm and 1229pm the same front desk associate called me at lunch to say the dogs were barking and I needed to come back immediately. Ridiculous. Dogs weren't barking when I got back to the hotel 3 minutes later. Than, the following day we went to brunch at 11am and as we left the same front desk associate ran after us. Suggesting we leave our dogs with her while we were gone, yes I love inviting potential lawsuits upon myself. Leave us alone, we're trying to eat food and we took our dogs with us for the rest of the day. Icing on the cake, we asked what time checkout was, it's noon. We went to eat breakfast got back at 1140, and our key card would not scan. Don't advertise as dog friendly if there not allowed to bark in the middle of the afternoon. Dogs bark, if you don't know, now you know. Terrible service, very nice hotel and bar though.

Yelp
My favorite hotel chain by far. Stayed at two different locations in September and can't want to book again. I also need to save up to buy the amazing blankets. Heaven!!

Kelly D.

Yelp
We have stayed with Stay Pineapple in NYC and Seattle and we were excited to stay with them in Boston. First the pros, the staff was very nice and the room was very clean but I've come to expect that with stay pineapple. Now the cons. When I booked I asked for an accessible room and was told I would have one. I don't use third party booking site for this, I always call the hotel directly. I even called and confirmed that the room was accessible the day before we would be getting to Boston. I was told it was. When I got there it turns out they don't have any accessible rooms here. Had I been told that one of the two times I called would have booked somewhere else. In addition the heat barely worked. They didn't take I seriously until the last night. They could have moved us but it's really hard with the narrow hallways and no maneuverability so they brought us a space heater which was too small for the tiny room. We spent the night freezing. I reached out to their customer support and never heard back. I'm won't be staying with them again.

Larissa J.

Yelp
Seriously such a delightful experience! It really is a great location - so super walkable and convenient. There is even a restaurant on the first floor! The rooms are not huge but they are comfortable and so kitschy - they take the pineapple theme and run with it!!! Everything is yellow and so super bright! They also provide you with as much bottled water as you want...though I think the tap water would be okay too. There is also a $15 per person charge for amenities like the internet that isn't included in the room rate. This is like a really swanky hostel...super fancy Great rates, great customer service, great location - so delightful!

Erickson F.

Yelp
I love staring at pineapple, not only are the rooms great! But the bar is next level. The staff at the bar like Liz, Jonathan, Issac & Alex are amazing. They make me feel like I'm not alone at a bar and they support me stepping out my comfort zone if I'm shy. The way they get to know their clients it's top level Expertise! If you haven't been here before, give them a try. If you get too tipsy, just stay at the hotel that night. It's a win / win situation! Don't forget to tip your bartenders.

Kate F.

Yelp
The StayPineapple hotel chain is just so charming and adorable --- the Boston location was my second experience with them (first being in NYC) and I would absolutely stay here again. The location is very convenient, feels safe, and is walkable to the South End, Back Bay, and Chinatown neighborhoods. The Back Bay T stop is within a 5-10 minute walk as well. Upon arrival, they stored our bag for us (though just against the wall in the lobby --- there's no luggage closet!) and advised that they'd likely have a room for us by 1pm, which is well before check-in and was much appreciated by the two of us who were able to get an afternoon nap in after early morning flight arrivals. The building and rooms really lean into the pineapple theme with pineapple infused water (in addition to free bottled water), pineapple shaped sugar cookies, tropical-scented toiletries, and a variety of pineapple decor with bright yellows, golds, and crystals. The rooms are tiny, though they make the most of the small space with drawers on the bedside table and beneath the bed, hooks on the wall, and a large counter by the windowsill. The king bed is incredibly comfortable and comes with European-style individual duvets so you don't have to fight over the covers. We also appreciated that the TVs are equipped to stream from your own accounts via your own device. My only complaint was that the small bathroom started to smell a little musty until we got better about cracking the door to allow the moisture to escape, but it was otherwise adequate. The staff was delightful throughout our stay, making sure to greet us every time we walked through. We unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy our free beer or wine in the restaurant downstairs (The Trophy Room), but it looked like a fun vibe! Definitely would stay again on future trips to Boston.

Christopher R.

Yelp
Johnny is an amazing server! I love going to trophy room. The food is good and the staff is always friendly!

Christina T.

Yelp
When I travel, especially in bigger cities, I love to find the quirky boutique stay. I found the Stay Pineapple Hotel off Chandler in Boston to be just wonderful. While being reasonably priced (compared to big brand hotels) it was a wonderfully luxurious stay. The room had an amazing bed with two duvet bedding and ridiculously smoosh worthy pillows. Personally, I need a hotel room to be absolutely frigid for comfortable sleep and this room did NOT disappoint. I could not get over how quiet the room was being downtown surrounded by city sounds on the South End. The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating beyond reproach. The energy is young, sharp and fun. I chose this location for my recent conference trip since it was affordable and close enough to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center to accommodate quick Uber/Lyft rides back and forth. I highly recommend booking your stay at Stay Pineapple for your next trip to Boston! Happy Travels!

Todd D.

Yelp
Ok, so, no joke--Johnny is the best. He makes you feel like you're at home when you're at this table. I love a casual Wednesday night with friends at Trophy Room!

Sofya G.

Yelp
If you can find a hotel for the same price in back bay just stay there. The hotel is very small but relatively clean. There is no closet, fridge, or microwave which makes staying here inconvenient. We had to ask the front desk to microwave our food for us in the staff room. The biggest issue was the leaking window in our room. There were cracks along the molding of the window that dripped water all night long, keeping us up. It started getting all over the counter and floor as well as the plugged in coffee maker right next to the window. When I called the front desk for assistance, the worker was rude and impatient. He said there was nothing to do but wait because his system was down and maintenance can only come in the morning. The next morning we checked out and let the front desk know again about the leaking window. His words were "I have it written down but you honestly have one of the better rooms." For over $700 for 5 nights I am very disappointed with this hotel. They need to change the price or upgrade their rooms and customer service.

Ada J.

Yelp
Super cool hotel with lots to offer! Loved the cookies and the pineapple water at the reception desk! The restaurant/ bar was very popular at night, so it was cool to grab a drink with the fun crowd. Loved the location, walking distance to the subway and other cool bars. The rooms are small but very functional. The most is made from the small space. I just love the Tommy Bahama bathroom soaps. The reception staff was professional and helpful too! I loved my stay here! Super fun hotel!

Paula F.

Yelp
Over the past 2 years, I have stayed several times at this charming boutique hotel in the heart of Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, one of the best in the city. As such, I can definitely and enthusiastically recommend it, in large part because of its aesthetics, customer service, location and staff (especially the manager, Taylor).

Tom R.

Yelp
Johnny at Trophy Room is the very best - always has been and always will be. No one compares to him and the experience he creates for everyone! Check it out!

Erin S.

Yelp
Would not stay again. Nice sheets don't matter when the noise from the street keeps you up all night.

Emma K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spent three nights at this hotel and were overall very pleased with our stay! The main reason I chose this hotel is that the location at the price point can't be beat - other hotels within walking distance of Staypineapple were charging twice as much or more. The hotel is so centrally located - a short walk to many tourist locations, bars, restaurants, and T stops on the green line and orange line. Just for that reason alone, we'd be back. All the employees we came across were lovely and helpful, and the restaurant/bar downstairs is great! There are a couple of quirks to the hotel, however: The rooms are cute and clean (and the bed is almost too comfortable!) , but very, very small, even for city hotel standards. We were really only in the room to sleep, so it wasn't an issue for us, but if you're coming to Boston for a formal event of some kind or are planning to stay a while, the bathroom (really no where to put toiletries) and clothes-hanging space (no closet, just a couple of hooks with hangers) could make the stay challenging. Also, the rooms are only cleaned every other day, starting third day of your stay. The room was very clean to begin with, and the cleaners did an awesome job the day they came, but this was a little odd to us - I understand cutting some costs in order to provide the great prices, but even motels clean every day. I feel like the trash should be taken out in each room every day at the very least, particularly since there is not a refrigerator in the room so any leftover food would just sit in the trash until it's your day for cleaning. Overall, a wonderful trip!

Laura V.

Yelp
We had a great time at this hotel and brought our French Bulldog. The hotel was very accommodating of her. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean and up to date. It was a bit small but it served our purpose well. The staff was friendly. There is no parking at the hotel so that's a drawback. We did find parking on the street, however. Overall, I would stay again!

Sean E.

Yelp
Amazing service with Johnny! So much fun!!! We came for a friends birthday and they were so incredible!

Steve H.

Yelp
Rooms are okay, definitely small. Not too many bars nearby that I could tell. Restaurant attached does not do breakfast.

John H.

Yelp
Hector at the front desk and John in the Trophy Room we're excellent and very warm and welcoming. This trip was for the 6th wedding anniversary and they went above and beyond.

Puhan H.

Yelp
They say there is 24/7 service, but there was no one here or anyone that I could reach by phone at 4-5am when I needed help in the morning during my stay here. There was a phone ringing in the lobby the whole time I was waiting for someone, and another customer who was locked out because her room card wasn't working.

Marisa C.

Yelp
Cute elements to the hotel and good location, with quick access to South End, Back Bay and Boston Commons. No storage at all in the room, bathroom too small to store any toiletries, and not possible to have an open suitcase and access both sides of the bed. Housekeeping every other day, but just to tidy the rooms - did not replace sheets for a stay of over a week. Stayed over Pride weekend and was excited to see the parade and participate in festivities, but the hotel did not mention on booking that they would have a street festival on that weekend directly below the hotel and including the hotel bar. This involved 10 continuous hours of blasting music and megaphones, and meant that you could not even enter or leave the hotel as a guest without showing your room key to multiple bouncers and pushing your way though lines of drunk people.

Alexandra P.

Yelp
Great food, great service (thanks, Johnny!), comfortable seating - perfect spot for summer, definitely recommend

Kelsey G.

Yelp
This hotel was just okay. The room was incredibly small and the bathroom was so tight you can only push the shower door one way for fear of it crashing into the sink. At one point they took all my towels and didn't replace them so I was stuck calling late at night after a busy day at work for bath towels. Weird. They also charge a $15 fee for "services" but don't have a gym and couldn't save any of their fancy pineapple cake for me to have when I got back from work. I know a lot of places do this now, but somehow it always seems like the places with the fewest amenities like to tack this on and justify it with "free WiFi" and lackluster coffee in the morning. I wouldn't rush to come back.

Yelp
When I come back to Boston for a visit (soon, when the weather cools) Staypineapple will be my first choice of hotel! Let me tell you why: This was my husband and I's first visit to the wonderful city of Boston. We were really unsure of where to stay, locations, etc. On top of all that, we planned this vacation very last minute so we were very limited in our choices and everything was very pricey. When I saw the pictures of Staypineapple Boston's hotel rooms I was so intrigued, they were adorable and pineapple themed! The prices weren't too terribly high, very comparable compared to other hotels nearby. I kept reading reviews about how comfy the beds were so we went ahead and booked. The only thing that we were worried about before arriving was where to park, because they don't offer parking but said there is parking "nearby" ...we didn't know how far we'd have to park away from the hotel but we decided not to worry about it until we got there. On the day of arrival, check in was a breeze. They actually had parking right out front of the hotel and over the 3 days that we stayed parking was never an issue! We always found parking right near the hotel even though parking space is limited. ~ The Room ~ We got to our room and although it was a bit on the smaller side, it was so cozy and cute and sparkling clean! The bed really IS the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, omg. I got the best sleep of my life in that bed. The pillows and blankets were the fluffiest and the individual duvets really make all the difference. It felt like sleeping on a cloud which was wonderful after a long day of exploring the streets of Boston by foot. They offer the most comfortable robes to lounge around in as a bonus! I liked the storage drawers under the bed. There really isn't a lot of space for large suitcases so keep that in mind if you're a heavy packer like I am. There's also some storage space under the nightstand that you can fit several small bags or a large duffel under. The nightstands have USB ports for easy phone charging. The bathroom is tiny like other reviews mention (think cruise ship small) but the shower is roomy which is what really matters to me. I always bring my own shampoo, conditioner and shower gel but the ones the hotel provides smell so good! I ended up using their shower gel instead :) there's a small ledge by the sink that was big enough for my to leave my facial soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and a few other travel sized things on which was nice but it's not a full sink like other hotels. They had plenty of good TV channels with lots of good movies playing at all times, and you also have the option of streaming Netflix, Hulu, whatever other streaming service and casting it to the TV. There was a thunderstorm one night we were staying and the cable did go out so we decided to stream something and it worked perfectly! The hotel also has beach cruisers that you can rent for free to explore the city with if you want which we thought was pretty neat. When we would return in the evenings from exploring, they had pineapple cupcakes and pineapple water in the lobby which was a nice little snack to come home too. They also keep a fridge packed with bottled water and leftover cupcakes that you can help yourself too if you get hungry or thirsty but don't feel like going back out. There is a restaurant/bar connected to the hotel called The Trophy Room which gets pretty busy around 9pm. They have really yummy nachos! So, another option if you get back from exploring and you're hungry, you can just eat at the hotel, or stop in if you want a drink. My only complaint overall is that the room really lacks an eating area if you order delivery, and closet space for suitcases to be tucked away. None of this hindered our personal experience but it is something to consider. For us, our stay was perfect and we are already looking into booking again for the fall. We are really looking forward to coming back :)

Yelp
We loved our stay!! It was me and my bff. We shared a bed. The whole hotel is pineapples!!! I don't even want to spoil it for you because you'll be surprised at the subtle notes of pineapple. We wanted to try the restaurant downstairs but were only there for a night so we didn't get to. Great service! Even with me leaving out for a flight at 4:30a. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
I'm writing this review at 4:17am to say that this hotel is definitely haunted. My fiancé and I were convinced that we were the only people staying here. Literally. Or I'm not sure if the boutique hotel makes you feel like that. We booked this hotel for three nights, ONLY AT NIGHT TIME would the room door try to open. Keep in mind that the room key is automatic meaning you need a card to open it... the toilet wasn't working properly until I fixed it by hand.. the restroom handle was broken and we would put it back into place but it would go back to looking broken... I'll insert photos to show what I mean by that.. The hotel itself is cute, the people here aren't really talkative.. they just do their job not a 5 star work. However the manager here is absolutely sweet and very welcoming. I'm giving this a 3 star rating because there are some things I like about the room, the bed was comfortable. The manager is sweet, the location is next to everything. But this building is definitely haunted. (I stayed at room 406) I'm surprised I'm the first person to say that they have experienced this... I told my fiancé that I was convinced they tried making the room feel very uplifting and bright with the pineapple themed but the building itself had a spooky feeling that radiated throughout the night time.

Yelp
We stayed here on a Sunday night before a show at the Wang Theater. Sadly they do not have a parking lot, so we ended up parking in a garage down the street, however there are a few lots that are closer that you could have parked in. Check in was easy and everyone at the hotel was very polite and nice. Elevators are small, but they do what they are supposed to do. Our room was all the way at the end of a hallway, so we had some great views of the Boston skyline. The rooms are small, just a bed and a small table, plus a rack to hang things up. We didn't spend much time in our room so this was fine. The door to the bathroom is little more than a closet door, so you better hope you're close with your travel companion because you will hear everything they do in the bathroom. The bedding reminded us of some of the hotels we stayed at while traveling in Germany. For us, it was nice to have two blankets. Overall, nice little hotel in a quiet area of the city. It's not far from where we wanted to walk, so that was a bonus.

Yelp
Horrible. Aside from the cute themed decor, nothing else is worth $700. Ridiculous. First off, I started off my stay here by having to squish an enormous cockroach in the bathroom. The Chromecast function doesn't work on the TV even though it's the first thing the TV encourages you to use, and the cherry on top and by far worst is the AC. It is gross, broken, duct tapped, and didn't work properly. We spent the nights sweating from the unbearable humidity. And when it was on it made the loudest most annoying humming sound and/or a loud clacking sound when the internal fan would start up and that would wake us up. After requesting a room change, the front desk informed us that they were fully booked and they would try to get the HVAC person to come...never happened and they offered nothing as a courteous compensation. Absolutely horrible. Definitely not worth $1400. I understand it costing more because of location but this is ridiculous. I'm sure they can afford to replace an AC. I can't speak for all rooms but if you get room 203, as for another .

Yelp
Small rooms, but you should expect that and be okay with it when booking. Other than that, comfy beds and clean spaces. Friendly staff. One thing I do have to mention because I find it ridiculous is that they charge you a daily amenities fee for a list of really basic, not special amenities including.... Wifi. How is wifi an amenity in this day and age, instead of a must-have in the hotel industry? I don't know. And they should really stop saying "we give you fast wifi!" as if it's something I should be incredibly grateful for

Yelp
Cute hotel! Live the theme. Everyone was very nice. The room is small but functional. Bed is super comfy and I love the bathrobe. There's two blankets on the bed. Really well thought out. The shampoo and conditioner are Tommy bahama and smells amazing. Love this place.

Yelp
My husband and I were delighted to stay in a comfortable and quiet area of Boston. The staff are very accommodating from front desk to bartender (Rebecca) and chef (Peter Palumbo). His chicken soup bowl is huge and delicious. He also made fresh whipped cream for my coffee drink. Tonight he ordered lobster to cook for us. The hotel is close for walking and to subway. We highly recommend this hotel. Colette & Bob

Yelp
Fantastic location. Always my first pick in Boston for proximity to the Trophy Room (one of Boston's best gay bars is IN the hotel!) walking distance to Club Cafe and yup even the Eagle. Really nice clean rooms with cool pineapple brand touches - Even if a little overpriced when including resort fee and no parking onsite. Also the privacy from the bathroom is weird - I seriously don't understand the trend in newer hotel remodels for having bathrooms that aren't really private...

Yelp
Love this hotel. We stayed here during COVID and enjoyed our stay. The front desk could not have been nicer greeting us and enjoying a safe, contactless environment. Further, the amenities were comfortable and accessible - clean, comfy beds, nice smelling shampoos and conditioners, and sugar cookies in the lobby daily. The area around the hotel is walkable and safe, and we spent a lot of our time in the South End dining and strolling. We'll definitely be bringing our dog during our next stay at Staypineapple South End. Thank you so much to the gracious staff!

Yelp
Fancy looking budget hotel with a very friendly manager and front desk staff. Thanks to the manager for making my stay fun with interesting convo. Very good food around the area and location is amazing. View is very cute from the corner room. Taking good care in terms of cleaning. I can't evaluate their air purification system through heater and AC obviously. Room is small probably 100 sq ft and cramped pull out table space. Hard in winter to hang jackets etc given cramped space Not good for working from room. I didn't read the room details so thats my bad.

Yelp
James at the front desk was extremely helpful and recommended a fantastic burger! 5 stars!

Yelp
Loved this quaint hotel!! Super clean, hotel staff so friendly. Location is great! Definitely recommend!! I will def be back to this hotel... BUT NOT THE BAR IN THE LOBBY! Upon check in we received 2 free cocktail comps for the bar. After a day out on the town, we came back to the hotel at 7:30 pm and went to the bar. After finishing our glasses of wine, we attempted to order another. The scrawny bartender behind the bar stated "Already had last call", I said " I'm sorry I didn't hear you call that", he stated " That's because I didn't say it!".. he was SO rude!! I also heard him say to another customer.."Did I kick you out yet?". There are WAY too many businesses that would appreciate yours/my business to have to give this ahole one earned cent of mine! Employees like this will run a business into the ground. In todays world, you need every good review and positive experience you can get! Enjoy your stay but seek other cocktail options!

Yelp
Really cute place! Loved the decor, beds were super cozy. Rooms are small but feel open and airy. Only giving 4 stars because the walls are paper thin, and per the GM, we were making the other guests on our floor uncomfortable. Long story short: not the best choice if hotel sex is what you're after.

Yelp
We stayed here during our long weekend in Boston... The hotel was charming and the price point was great. Everyone we encountered working for the hotel was incredibly pleasant. The rooms are very cute, beds comfortable with nice spacious showers. I loved the aesthetic. I was disappointed that there was no mini-fridge for us to store leftovers in the room... I also agree with other reviews in that the rooms are snug, but we spent most of our time out exploring anyway so that was no big deal. The AC could have worked better. The rooms got very warm over night... ours looked pretty rough, they could stand to replace them. Additionally, I was mildly annoyed by the additional daily room fee we got hit with in addition to what we paid when we booked the room. Seemed a little shady. I understand an amenity fee, and they did offer unlimited bottled water which was great, particularly for the days we went out exploring, however, I'd sooner pay that with the initial room charge. All in all, this was a cute hotel with great customer service. The location was good and close to a lot of attractions and the T. We will more than likely look into other options when visiting again, but I wouldn't completely count out Staypineapple - it is very nice for it's price point.

Yelp
We loved our experience here. The concierge, James, was incredibly kind, charismatic, and helpful. He made us feel welcome, and quickly troubleshooted a WiFi issue in our room. We are thankful to him and the whole staff for an amazing stay!
