Steak n Shake

I tried burger with guacamole, it’s served with fries, ketchup and mayonnaise. In burger there were big pieces of onion, for me it would be better if they were smaller, and the taste of the burger was like if they forgot to put salt.👎 But the atmosphere was nice, the view is beautiful. The order was prepared fairly quickly and the price is normal.

Pros: relatively good price/quality ratio. Very nice atmospheric sittings. Nice staff. Music I guess! Speed! Suitable portions! Cons: burger meat has no salt or pepper, too plain. The potatoes while well cooked, are way too greasy. The sauces are from Heinz and not house made which could be improved if you ask me.

This is a pretty cool place , the burgers are good and you can't go wrong with any of them , the Italian cheese fries weren't too good and I wouldn't pair the burger with a shake but rather have it after the burger itself.

Everything was so delicious! Fries were crispy and hot, while cheese sauce added another layer of flavour. Veggie burger was light but filling, and strawberry milkshake was one of the best I had in a long while. And all of that for just 10€? Sign me in, I can't wait to eat there again!

Expensive, but not too bad. Portion sizes are extremely small and shakes cost more than the meal. But, other than the shakes being runny, it is a true American burger. Check out cool tile-mural on the side of the building.

It was alright. I’ve had it before and it didn’t taste as I had remembered. The best part of the burgers are the Patties. The buns are alright, the bacon isn’t crispy and the cheese is ok. Small burger, although it came with pretty good fries it really wasn’t worth it. The milk shakes were super good but they got our order wrong. They switched it and everything was fine. 3 star ⭐️

A now must in the vast world of Porto's Burger restaurants! The environment is great with good music to accompany. The building itself is great and was a great way to renovate an old building with a piece of art by the side. Enough about the environment! The food is great! Very diversified with all the burgers ranging from a super complex Burger that you can customise yourself to a plain simple Burger with a big patty without having a thousand options confusing the customer. Service is also great along with fast. At the same time the employees are very nice treating the customer with utmost respect!

This restaurant is centrally located and has a sparkling clean American-style diner atmosphere. The interior is very new and has 2 levels of dining floors with a restroom located at the top. There is a lift in the middle which accesses all floors. The menus are dual language and easy to navigate. The burger meat was excellent and the fries were great, albeit very of a very small shoestring type. The staff were attentive and friendly to us as tourists, and had a decent level of English.

If you are looking for the best Steak 'n Shake this side of the Atlantic, I think this is it! It blew my lil American brain. It is three stories and has wine and beer! Truly impressive. What we ordered: I got the veggie melt with fries and a glass of red wine. It was good, but they use the term "melt" very loosely here. The bread was slightly toasted, but nothing about this sandwich was toasted. The quality was great for what we paid. My dad got the original steak burger with fries and a bottle of water. All of this for around 16€. Not bad! My dad was missing American food (this is his first time in Europe and he's not quite used to the food change) so this was a nice change of pace! There were definitely some language barriers, but the staff was friendly and we figured it all out. I would recommend this Steak 'n Shake if you're missing American food!

Generally when I travel I eat local cuisine most of the time, but sometimes you are just ravenous and need to eat. My wife and I were in a state of hunger + anger and Steak 'n Shake came to the rescue. We came in around midday and there wasn't much of a line so we decided to eat here. We both got cheeseburgers and fries and it was a good meal. The burgers are big and the fries are good. Neither item was the best I have ever had, but they are good and well made. I also ordered a chocolate milkshake and that was solid. Service was quick and friendly and they accept credit card! This location has upstairs seating and some seating downstairs, but for some reason they had their doors and windows open on a rather hot day. It was close to 30 celsius with minimal cloud cover. I am not sure why they did that. This place is good for a pretty quick bite to eat and you can rest assured things here are clean and well made.

Much like everyone else who comes here, it's a nice break from Portuguese food. It's great to eat something familiar when you find yourself far away from home. My girlfriend and I found ourselves strolling around one late afternoon, starving for food. Knowing that we were going to go out for some Portuguese food for dinner, we opted to just pop in for a quick bite to eat. We both ordered hamburgers w/fries & drinks. Western BBQ'N Bacon Burger w/ Fries (6,45 Euros) -This burger was actually pretty tasty. The quality of the beef was good. This actually tasted like a burger you would get in a restaurant as compared to one you would get in a typical fast food place (i.e. McDonald's or Burger King). -The fries were quite good as well. They were perfectly crispy, with a soft center. Although, they don't salt the fries as much as you might hope for (I've come to learn this is the case anywhere other than USA). Signature Steakburger w/Fries (6,95 Euros) -My girlfriend ordered this one, and loved it. She liked how the burger patty was able to get a nice crust, which allowed it to be really flavorful. Soft Drinks (1,95 Euros each) Total = 17,30 Euros for 2 people. Overall, this certainly shouldn't be a place that you plan your trip to Porto around, sometimes it's necessary to break up the same cuisine you've been eating, and give your palate a familiar taste. This is most definitely a far better purchase than McDonald's or Burger King, and one that you won't regret later on.

I would definitely recommend this Steak 'n Shake if you are an American who is missing a little food from home ;). In all seriousness the restaurant is in a very prime location in Porto and is very well kept. Lots of seating area with even a second floor! The service is very quick and the food quality is good. I was blown away by the quality of the burger and most notably the shake. The portions are huge and it is honestly such a treat after eating other cuisines for so long. Definitely hit up this restaurant once during your trip for a little taste of home

I've not been to any other Steak 'n Shake locations around the world (there are apparently quite a few) so I don't know if this is the standard, but the meal that I had here was a cut above what I expected. Mushroom 'n Swiss Melt - Everything worked together, the steaks were perfectly done and the caramelized onions were a good finishing touch. Fries - Not too bad, but nothing to rave about either. Chocolate milkshake - one of the better milkshakes I've had in a while. Thick, topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

Worst customer Service I have ever had!!!! The food was cold and old!! Drinks had no ice because it melted that's shows how long the food sat out before it was sent to us! I contacted the Person who runs the Facebook page and received horrible customer service! They told me how my food arrived was impossible as if they were there and received the food! I will never recommend this place to anyone or the location in porto! HORRIBLE!
