Steamov offers an interesting supermarket concept with a visually appealing layout—clean lines, modern design, and a pleasant shopping atmosphere. It’s clear they’ve put thought into aesthetics, which makes browsing enjoyable. However, the value proposition falls short. Prices lean toward the lower side, but I still didn’t feel it was value for money. Essentials like tissue paper were out of stock during my visit, which was disappointing and inconvenient. For a concept-driven store, basic inventory should be a given. Overall, Steamov is worth a look for the novelty and ambience, but I hope they tighten up on stock management and pricing to truly deliver on the experience.

The supermarket concept goes wrong as price tag is confusing (3 lines of number), narrow space and seats. Have pay first so it becomes long Q for scanning the items, cashier place is at main door so with the Q ppl been blocked to enter. Soups are bland, and we paid $5 per soup but refill is just bland stock. Lamb and vegetable some not fresh, see the pictures. We paid around $33 per person, not worth it.

Totally disappointed with the service. The outlet is much smaller than what was shown in the Instagram ads by Ho Jiak Bo, which was quite misleading. Table clearing was very slow. A table was assigned to us & while the server was still cleaning it, she asked us to go choose our ingredients first. When we came back after choosing, we waiting to make payment, and were surprised to see the table already set up with two pots of soup that we had not ordered. We initially thought they only had standard soup, so we didn’t question it — only to realize that the table had been reassigned to a couple who were behind us in the queue, complete with their soups already served. We were then asked to wait for another table. On top of that, there was no proper queue system at the cashier for payment, which added to the confusion and frustration. Overall, the experience was poorly managed and very disappointing.

Used to frequent this place for late-night suppers so decided to visit after quite some time. Extremely disappointed by the drop in quality (both cleanliness and food quality/taste) Soup is bland and tasteless - probably diluted with water over and over again. Ingredients look like it has been left on the conveyor belt since the day before. Stained food trays and unkempt dining tables.

Some of the seafood wasn't very fresh. You have to take the food yourself and make payment first. Yet was charged 10% service charge. Tables are abit too small. Easily splashing around for the soup base.

Flies and cockroach can be seen on tables. Used to be good, but after renovation, it got worse.
