Steamov - 食尚捞 (Outram)

fun concept, decent food, but pricing transparency could be better. steamov offers a fun late-night hotpot experience with its conveyor belt concept and wide variety of skewers, but the excitement fades once the bill arrives. while soup bases and ingredients are decent, the pricing is misleading. not all items are clearly labeled, and it’s easy to grab “$1 skewers” that turn out to be S$3 or more. the food’s fine, great for supper with friends, but between hit-or-miss freshness and unclear costs, the gimmick ends up pricier than expected. worth a try, just watch what you pick!!!

Came around 6pm last Saturday. Ingredients on the belt was not ideal . Staff mentioned that these are the left overs from last night . Ate a crab stick and it’s spoiled . All they did was to remove 1 satay stick from my table and continue serving the crab sticks on the belt . Also realised that they placed the refilling food tray on top of the dustbin . Very horrible hygiene.

All time fav hotpot place!!! Been patronising this place for many years now and its always such a joy to be here!! Wide range of variety and value for money!!! Each skewer only $1?! 🤯 and its quite generous like they will pack the meat on one stick its super worth it. Parking is soooo convenient too! A lot of parking spaces for you to choose from! Lots of soup choices for your individual pot at only $5! You eat halfway change soup also only $5 super good! On normal days you can enjoy a wide range of jay chou and jj lin soundtracks lol (cos thats the only thing they play) I always recommend my friends here and everyone who came all said its good!! Highly highly recommended! Not sure why so many negative reviews here this place provides so much value then ppl keep complaining over the small things.

Simple conveyor hotpot to fulfil your hotpot crave if you do not wish to splurge on the expensive haidilaos or beauty in the pots Food is generally ok, cost is pretty alrite most sticks for $1 and the fatter sticks $2 or more One suggestion if you're keen to go - request for half soup base and the rest topped up with water. Their soup is high in MSG and you'll feel extremely thirsty at night after the meal.

Had my dinner here recently, the food was okay but the cleanliness is not it. I saw the staff put the food tray (containing food inside) on the floor. Not only that, the cup they provide was really sticky, looks like it is used and unclean. The staff was also not attentive to customers, AND one of the staff even pick her tooth when I ask her to add extra soup. Quite disappointed as the overall service and vibe is very different now from the last few times I came. Won’t come back again.

The food variety is not great but i love the sour vegetable fish soup, the fried fritters taste so nice when you soak it in the soup. Only 2 staff was on duty and everything is diy. Conveyor belt has lots of food but frankly bill was not cheap even though it’s $1 for a piece, maybe we took too many sticks, lol. Overall experience is 7/10, will go back again as they close late and their individual pots makes cooking easier!

I shouldn't give even 1 star. It was good though pricey the first time my husband and I visited that restaurant, so I decided to brought my colleague to had dinner there last Saturday. The mushroom got sour smell already and taste not fresh at all. Not only the mushroom but the vegetables too. After an hour my colleague felt uncomfortable with her stomach and I had headache and wants to vomit. Sunday midnight I kept vomiting and stomachache as the result of diarrhea until Monday. My colleague and I needs to take mc for 2 days because of stomachache and diarrhea. Very bad experience and never recommend this restaurant at all. Very bad experience the second time I visited there.

Cleanliness is a NO for me. Staff placed the big tray for cleaning very near the conveyor belt, which is also VERY NEAR THE FOOD! It’s really unhygienic, and the staff seems like they don’t bother as well. Just hope I won’t get diarrhoea from this :)
