Room is good, spacious, and clean. The breakfast is well-organised and provided in a take away bag on Sundays, which I quite liked since it gave us extra flexibility in planning our morning. Extra star for service as they also generously provided gluten-free bread.

Very nice initiative. Since you’re staying in the neighborhood it feels very homelike and cozy. Room had loads of space and slept like babies. Thanks a lot for letting us stay there!

One time fraud The owner give you almost nothing for your money. Small room with a not working TV which is really a 14 inch computer screen, no air condition. A single shared toilet seat and shower for the all the building, that is not even in the room’s floor. There is no tap in the room, which is very difficult. For the breakfast we had to go 10 minutes to other building in the street and on Sunday breakfast is not served. The breakfast itself is a joke tiny quantity of not fresh cucumbers and tomatoes the two trays of rotten vegetables for all guests are in small quantity and enough for one guest if he could eat theses rotten vegetables. The other items in the breakest are in small quantity and small variety too. There is one table in the breakfest/reception room and all the guests have to sit in it together. The water flow in the shower is very weak.

I picked up the key from Simplon Hostel, as it was after 7 p.m. The room was small, but it was nice to have a kitchenette next to it, especially as there was a supermarket just 1 minute away. So that I could buy my breakfast. A shared bathroom and shower, but no problem for me with that. They didn't rush my departure.

Briefly, this is a group of 3 houses run as a hostel where you have your own secure room with a shared bathroom/shower room. Nice atmosphere, clean, warm, pleasant staff, double or single rooms, a communal breakfast room where I met some nice young dutch travellers (with excellent English as always) during my weekend stay. It is run by a charity and is wellcoming and relaxing. I can recommend the hostel if you are planning a short stay in Groningen the centre of which is a 10 minute walk away.||||Groningen has plenty to do for people of all ages and tastes with lots of restaurants, bars and places to see.

"Hotel" is 25-30 minutes from city center. Neighbourhood don't look like friendly when it is dark. Some facts:||First of all, we had Barok room. This is basically no more than 8m2 with big bed. For 2 people. When we booked room in Stee in Stad there was info that we will have 2 beds for 2 people... Really little space... wc and bathroom is shared with other rooms. in wc there are no sink, you need to go to the kitchen to wash your hands. Bathroom is upstairs, they gave the dressing-gown, but no slippers or anything even to one use. ||SECOND - REALLY BIG sick thing there... internet was not working. At all. Calling number in book gave no results, other number to lady who was "caring" about the reservation - gave also nothing. she wrote my number and said someone will call me to help in this case. No phone. Second day when "reception")about it later) was opened, we went to ladies working there, said about that problem and they said OK(with smile). Ok, what? They didn't give any solution, even like ' we will call someone to repair it" or something. After my question few times (because to their heads idea about helping or even answering didn't come unfortunately) if they could find the solution for this problem, they said " no. it is impossible, it is sunday". And that's all... It's normal that when you are foreigner tourist, you really need internet, even to check when the nearest hospital is! even to buy top up to your phone to contact with people...||RECEPTION. How I mentioned before, ladies in reception weren't helpful at all. And to check in at first day, AT 15:30 we must go to other hotel ( Simplon) which is 1,5 km from Stee in Stad. For someone without car who is after travel it is not too comfortable. And of course it Simplon men who was working there knew nothing about our reservation...||The last thing is that all days it was really loud from neighbours side. Very loud music all days. We came to relax, but we must listen to music which someones deaf used to hear...||To be honest I have no idea what I paid for besides place to sleep and hot water... It shouldn't be called as a hotel. In this price - 125 euro, we slept in other better places in Groningen. I don't reccomend.

I never went to breakfast but room is fine, just a house with locked doors. Extremely steep stairs.
