This is the first coffeeshop I’ve been to in LB, and it’s set the standard. I got a lavender latte, and their homemade syrups truly give a nice touch to the drink experience. The interior is also cute ASF

Really nice chill pleace, open space small to average size with 5 seating and then bar. Vanilla iced latte with a brownie. I saw all the food pics but seems like they no longer serve food based in IG and their website. Sadness. Otherwise I'd drop in again for another coffee. Parking for 11am on a Saturday it was kinda full but quite a few spots, parking lot behind.

I only picked up a vegan donut and a pistachio rubarb danish! It was delicious! Will be back for more when I am in the area !

This was my first time here. I was meeting a friend and he chose this place. I was so happy to see they have a parking lot. A bit tricky to maneuver but at least it's there. They have a small menu, which I like. To me, it means they specialize in what they have. I had an iced chai latte. It had to be one of the best I ever had! It wasn't too sweet and I could yaste the spices. They also have pastries. I got the cheese danish with apricot. It was SO GOOD! I later found out they get their pastries from a local bakery. I really have to check that place out. As for service, the young lady behind the bar was very friendly and professional. She worked on one order at a time. I didn't mind waiting for my order. At least this way, there was no worries about getting my order mixed up. You can tell that she reallt knew her stuff. I am really looking forward to coming back.

Steelhead was a nice shop with limited seating, really amazing bathroom art (never thought I'd say that in a review), great cold brew, and friendly staff.

I recently visited Steelhead Coffee and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, Calisa, one of the staff members, greeted me with such warmth and made me feel right at home. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor set the tone for the rest of my visit. The ambiance of Steelhead Coffee is simply perfect. The cozy atmosphere, combined with the carefully curated music, creates a relaxing and enjoyable setting. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, unwind, and truly savor your coffee. Parking is always a concern, but luckily, Steelhead Coffee offers ample parking space. This convenience made my visit even more enjoyable, as I didn't have to worry about finding a spot. Now, let's talk about the drinks! I tried the kefir soda, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it left me wanting more. If you visit Steelhead Coffee, I highly recommend giving the kefir soda a try. As a coffee enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for a great espresso shot, and Steelhead Coffee exceeded my expectations. The espresso shot had a delightful hint of salt, which added a unique twist to the flavor profile. What impressed me even more was that alongside my espresso shot, I was served a glass of seltzer. This attention to detail truly enhanced the overall experience and showcased the dedication to customer satisfaction. In addition to the espresso, I also had a v60 pour over coffee, and it was outstanding. The flavors were rich and nuanced, making it evident that the baristas at Steelhead Coffee are skilled in their craft. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Steelhead Coffee, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any coffee lover. The warm and welcoming service from Calisa, the perfect ambiance, ample parking, and the exceptional drinks, including the kefir soda, the espresso shot, and the v60 pour over coffee, all contributed to an unforgettable experience. I'll definitely be returning to Steelhead Coffee for my caffeine fix in the future!

First time coming here. I got a vanilla latte and double shot of espresso. It’s a good spot. The workers were very sweet and it had amazing seating. The coffee was okay i’ve definitely had way better coffee. But if you’re looking to support a local shop it’s fair in pricing, great seating, and ambiance.

Best coffee in Long Beach. Hot or iced vanilla latte is the best to get IMO and Andrew the barista knows how to pull shots properly!! Never have a bad cup when he's around, 10/10 recommend. Bro knows how to do sick latte art too The atmosphere is really nice too, perfect place to come work/Study or just hang out. Also, they got some pretty sick merchandise too. Pastry selection is on point, donuts are pretty decent too

Food presentation needs to be better. Front desk person seems snoby. Ambiance seems open and fine.

I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte and it was enjoyable. The service was prompt; the shop is small, but clean and quiet. The parking lot is located adjacent to the coffee shop; it is a small lot, be careful going in and out.

From the moment we got in, we were welcome with s smile. They have s small parking on the side and plenty of street parking. The decor is very clean and pleasant. My friend and I had coffee and catch up on an upcoming project. The atmosphere is so nice and relaxing, totally made me forget about the rain. The coffee was smooth and DELICIOUS, I didn't even added sugar. Highly recommended!!!!

First-timer. Steady flow of customers greeted by friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed my pumpkin chocolate chip cookie ...yummy but drink was weak on flavors (earl grey latte with vanilla). Coffee with apple spice syrup added with creamer good but nothing great. Loved the ambiance but to me drinks are what I need to love.

I told staff that it was my first time and they recommended something I wouldn't have chosen for myself: an iced oat milk salted brown sugar latte with a dash of cinnamon. It was delicious! The espresso was smooth (and not watery) and the flavor of the latte was balanced (not overwhelmingly sweet nor bland). The inside was inviting, lots of open lighting, and with some seating inside. I parked on the street, but I also noticed they have a small parking lot. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Super cute aesthetic but I've been here a couple of times now and haven't been too impressed with the drinks. Our barista was super friendly and helpful in her recommendations so service was perfect! Drinks came out quickly. A good amount of seating is available for being such a small place. I ordered the matcha latte with almond milk and since it doesn't come sweetened, I opted for vanilla flavoring. The portions here are tiny. They charge $1 for milk alternatives which is normal but the $0.75 for vanilla flavoring that I couldn't even taste was crazy. The matcha was good though, tasted good quality. But I was pretty disappointed in my drink overall. I wish it was sweeter but it was just matcha water unfortunately. 3/5 Overall, service and vibes are great here but drinks are okay. This place may be more catered to people who like their drinks simple and strong not so much for those of us who like sweet and flavored drinks so unfortunately it was a miss for me.

I got the lavender matcha latte and hubby got a brown sugar cinnamon latte. Both were delicious and well crafted. My matcha could have been a little smoother, but the taste was perfect! They make their own syrups, the ambiance is nice and the barista was dressed like Indiana Jones, so that was fun. The chocolate croissant was a bit over toasted, but still yummy!

I mean I got the latte to go so i didn't have much to say regarding the place haha. Service was friendly, the place looks clean and bright.

A quaint shop. Instantly fell in love as I pulled up. Had the latte and added the bananas foster syrup that is apparently home made- so delightful!!! It was just the perfect amount of sweet. And the guy- like chin length blonde hair- so kind. Great service, a great drink and a great PRICE. I'll always come back when I'm on this side.

First time at this location of Steelhead. Coffee is excellent as expected but I like this location because they have more food offerings. Besides the pastry case they have toast and sandwiches. Definitely adding to my go to café spots.

How to review a coffee spot when all you get is coffee? I mean, their pastries looked mighty tempting and I was very charmed by the crocheted cup holders up front. The place is nice and tidy, and pretty minimalist in terms of its styling, but it's a cute little shop to have coffee at. A cappuccino rarely steers me wrong - and often reveals the quality of a place's coffee, in my estimation - so I was happy to have one from here that was smooth and robust and flavorful.

The coffee here is bold and smooth with the perfect amount of richness. Every sip is satisfying, and the aroma alone makes me happy. It is a great place to grab a morning pick me up.

I recently went back to Steelhead Coffee for the French toast that I spoke so highly about. Sadly I was informed they no longer have a kitchen. Therefore completely disregard all the things I mentioned about the French toast, because it's no longer available.

Cool place to have a coffee and have a casual meeting. I ordered the drip coffee which is slightly more than their regular coffee. I was hoping for a richer taste but the coffee was a bit watered down. Next time I got I'll let the barista know that I want a strong Lee taste. Overall service was great here and they have a lot of cool and interesting coffee from all over the world. The shop is cozy and it wasn't too hard to grab a table when we arrived.

Nice, quiet place to study. Chill guests and barista. I read a few mixed reviews on parking, but I got here at 2:30 on a Monday and there were easily 10 spots available on the close by street + private lot. However there was only one bar seating available, but it didn't feel crowded. Most people were studying quietly. So far, I'm a fan! Clean place, cute plants, drinks are good, & wifi. I will have to be back again to see when are best times.

Super good coffee! My friends had already ordered. I said you think they'll let me use the restroom she said sure we just got coffee . I went inside and started looking around. There's nothing better than the smell of coffee. OK I'll get some. I start taking pictures in right away. It's random local noticed me taking pictures. This is great place to do a review. The owner does a lot of work with a community and he's just amazing guy. The coffee is grade A! No coffee compares . I always trust the people that live in the city, Because they do the foot work ! I stumbled upon this after eating at a near by resturaunt. I only had their special which was recommended by the server. Barbie's drink. It reminded me of the pink drink at SB (starbucks) but better i think it was since it had the right amount of sweet and tartness for my taste. Place was quaint and had a clean bathroom. A few tables to chill with some peeps. Pretty quiet. Note: There was plenty of street Parking but be careful make sure to read street signs due to no parking zones on certain days and times.

Sweet spot to relax before heading to a work meeting. Matcha latte hot with oat milk and a touch of sweetener. Excellent! Toasted spinach and artichoke pastry - delicious. And the cashier is wearing a cool cowboy hat. What more could you wish for in a morning cafe?

I'm obsessed with their aerocano... It's creamy and smooth, but without added creamer or milk! The barista was also so sweet and allowed me to watch them while they made the drink-- a cool little science experiment!

There are three Steelhead Coffee locations in Long Beach, CA. We went to the one in SteelCraft! We visited the bungalow coffee shop that serves a fun experience and good coffee. SteelCraft, whether it's the one in Long Beach or Bellflower, is a great place to hang out, eat some food, or enjoy a cup of coffee. We went for the same drink. It was a rainy winter, and we both noticed their seasonal Peppermint Mocha, which we got hot and added oat milk. Because we both require a strong hint of coffee, we got our mocha lightly sweetened. The drink was nice and comforting. Definitely a drink that made sense for the rain. Luckily we got it lightly sweetened as the drink was still sweet from the peppermint syrup. The minty taste was certainly relaxing as well. This week we're doing a doughnut emoji! We wanted to highlight @thecaffeinatedkitchen and they may get their own review. Caffeinated Kitchen bakes vegan doughnuts and are distributed to different coffee shops around Southern California. We're not exaggerating when we say these are probably one of the best doughnuts we ever tried. They're also perfectly paired with every coffee we purchase. So if you see doughnuts and find out they're from Caffeinated Kitchen. GET IT IMMEDIATELY! Steelhead Coffee is definitely a fun place to explore as you're near a small plaza with different food options. So you can get yourself a coffee while exploring other spots. Steelhead Coffee has good flavor. However, we didn't see much of a signature option from the SteelCraft location. We were trying to find what makes the coffee shop unique, differentiating from different spots. Their biggest thing is probably the location. We will certainly try a different location to see if they spark something special that lets their customers experience Steelhead's uniqueness in coffee and not just entering a coffee place and buying coffee! Other than that, Steelhead Coffee is certainly worth exploring. The flavors are still there and their customer service was amazing. Simply great coffee and super flavorful ! If you are in the area, stop check out this cute spot. They have about 6-8 tables and couple outside the shop. Service was fast and + point was they have decent parking lot right next to it. Highly recommend this coffee shop.

My go to coffee shop in LB Forsure! The lavender latte is my favorite and is subtly sweet ! The donuts and also the cups they sell there

I drive from Los Angeles to Long Beach just for their matcha latte once a week mandatory! Nobody does it better, and the staff at the counter are fantastic.

Steelhead is my new favorite coffee spot since moving to long beach. My iced mocha is perfection, the bakery goods are delicious, and the staff is wonderful. They are always smiling, giving treats to my dog, and service is pretty quick. Thank you to everyone for brightening my day when I come in, dogs and/or kids in tow!

Came to study here last week and honestly one of my fav coffees in LB now! Interior is perfect with a minimalist vibe, service was great, and they make vanilla lattes just perfect! Definitely come here.

Steelhead Coffee is a local artisan coffee shop and this is one of three locations in Long Beach. [Parking]: The coffee shop has a small and free parking lot. Unfortunately parking spots were pretty tight and another vehicle bumped into my car as I slowly backed up my vehicle. [Menu]: Pretty standard filter and espresso menu - drip, pour over, cold brew, Americano, cortado, cappuccino, latte, mocha, etc. For non coffee drinks they have chai latte, black tea, green tea, jasmine herbal tea, iced tea, kombucha, and kefir soda. [Amenities]: Few small outdoor tables and nothing really stood out for interior décor. *** Lavender Latte (small for $5 & syrup extra $0.50): The drink didn't taste super strong (I could taste a hint of lavender fragrant), but it was sufficient. *** I wouldn't drive out of the way for this coffee shop, but the drink I had wasn't too bad. I could see myself visit this place more frequently if I live just few blocks away from it.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting waffle love for a yelp event, and I have no regrets. It is very clean and easily accessible with plenty of parking. Customer service was amazing as they greeted us probably, and gave recommendation and answered all of her questions. I would say that it is more of a grab and go type of place, but there is plenty of seating right inside of the outdoor dining hall. I went with a Matcha latte, which was not too sweet and well balanced... I did add vanilla to it. And then we had a iced cold brew, which was very strong but thankfully they have sugar and cream outside for you to fix up your drink.

I stumbled upon Steelhead Coffee after a stroll around Bixby Knolls. Many of my friends have recommended this coffee shop to me and I was super excited to give it a try. As you walk in, you'll be greeted by many tables and chairs perfect for working. I saw about 15 people working there and enjoying drinks. Ordering was extremely simple and the menu is very easy to read. The barista was incredibly kind and gave me recommendations for a drink was strong and sweet. I opted for a latte with an extra shot of espresso and a matcha latte with strawberry foam on top. The star of the show was definitely in the Matcha latte with a sweet and fresh strawberry foam. The strawberry tasted like real strawberry, which I was pleasantly surprised about. I am definitely returning for a weekly dose of Matcha latte with strawberry foam. I also think this is the perfect place to get work done and just simply have a good time.

Cute, little coffee shop that gets the job done. The minimal setup goes well with many chairs to sit down for a solo study or work session for a little California Heights shop. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and was able to grab a spot with my partner for the day. The menu goes with a simple take with different syrups for the extra taste to get your aroma going for the day. We went with the lavendar latte, and the espresso brewed was strong with a roasty scent. Supporting local roasters is the way to go, and the server team served up the line quickly and patiently. This shop seems to source their roasted beans from a few local roasters, and they also have opened a few locations.

Discovered Steelhead on a late weekday afternoon while looking for a quiet place to wait for a friend - it did not disappoint. Environment - this coffeeshop has about 5 tables (I believe 3 that can seat 2 and 2 that can seat 4). There are also two cute red round tables outside that can seat 2 at a time. Upon walking into the shop, you can tell that it had a very calm atmosphere despite everyone seemingly trying to frantically do work. The place is clean and there's minimal noise so you can enjoy a book or music while sipping on your coffee. Service - the worker who served me was very kind. I asked her for her recommendations as well as their popular items. My order came out very quickly. As I was here towards the end of the day, she also was diligently working to clean up by herself and I have so much admiration for her hard work! They also had a private parking lot with beautiful murals on the side of the building. This is such a nice community coffeeshop and would make this place a regular go-to if I lived closer. Drinks - the worker told me that they make their lavender and vanilla bean syrups in house so I knew I had to try one of those. And despite the cup size, their lattes have two shots of espresso in them - just depends on how strong of a coffee flavor and milk you would like. Iced vanilla latte - of course, this is my go to baseline drink for all coffee shops and it did not disappoint. I can tell that the syrup was homemade because there were vanilla bean bits on the bottom of the cup. The caffeine was smooth and I have no complaints whatsoever. It was a nice cup of coffee!! I definitely would come here again in the future :) this is also in my way to work and the shop opens an hour before any other coffee places (aside from Starbucks) so I will definitely consider jumping off the freeway for this.

I have only been here once but it is very clean and the staff are nice. I ordered a LG brown sugar iced latte and it was amazing. It wasn't too sweet like youd find at Starbucks. It is pricey but you get what you pay for which is great coffee.

I've always been a fan of steelhead's drinks and pastries, but they've recently been adding food to the menu on the weekends! I've only tried one so far but it was so delicious that I can't wait to go back and try everything else.

If you're looking for a local, modern, minimalist specialty coffee spot, steelhead is a great choice. My go tos are a regular light roast drip, or 12 oz iced vanilla latte with cold foam (80% sweet). Good customer service too. Well trained.

Absolute worse actual coffee on the planet, im very surprised because place looks clean and barista knows what she's doing , it's not her fault , coming from a usual "black coffee " drinker , today I ordered a cortado , pretty basic , somewhat of a stronger capuchino , but when I tasted it the most SOUR , lemony , bitter taste I've ever tasted , clearly this is because of the coffee beans , STRONG CASE OF THE Maillard reaction!!!!! Whoever roasted these beans didn't know what they were doing , I think people come here to squat and drink coffee with the help of sugar that disguises the sourness of these beans , because there's no way this coffee is in fact coffee. If you like a chill spot with wifi , go for it , if you want a basic cup of coffee, pass it !

The baristas here are genuinely so nice. I was a camper to get some work done and when my hot latte turned cold I asked for ice and they remade it for me. Plus they have outlets at almost every table. Also, their music selection is great

Decided to come to another Steelhead Coffee location after seeing how aesthetically decorated the place was last time! Definitely a great place to work in with ample amount of outlets and also love that it's never crowded whenever I stop by :) I ordered the iced lavender latte and it's delicious. Wish it was shaken so the drink can be initially colder but I'll just have patient to wait for it to melt for a bit more before drinking it haha

Have any of the other commenters ever been here? Their drip and more particularly, their cold brew, taste very much like what I imagine mud tastes like. You'll make better at home in your grandma's old ass pot that hasn't been wiped out.

Nice spot right off the freeway with good coffee! Had a couple option for pour over coffee - I had the Ethiopia, and it was really nice. Also, parking lot behind makes it easy to get in and out.

Pleasantly surprised by their tomato soup. A nice taste paired with a sandwich and wi fi is available.

Spent three comfortable hours doing work on my laptop here. Very pleasant barista. Coffee was very good and reasonably priced. And I always appreciate a clean and efficient bathroom (with cool artwork on walls). I could get used to this place.

It's a wonderful place to grab a treat and a drink. The pastries and lattes were tasty. Just a heads up, the location is small so there isn't a lot of seating or parking.
