Stefino Organic Gelato

Award winning ice cream spot, with choices of rice-milk gelato, normal milk gelato and sorbet (thus, vegetarian, vegan and lactose-free options available, if that’s your vibe). I went for the Gianduja and Mediterraneano (a mix of almonds, pistachio and pine nuts, I think) - lovely! My partner had the “brioche-icecream sandwich” with the Bolognese vanilla and the rich chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream. The ice cream was excellent, he said, but the bread a little bit dry. Lots of people coming in and out – clearly well loved in the neighbourhood. 👍🤩✨

I can’t described how amazed I am from the flavours and quality of this gelato. So many unexpected flavours, wasabi, chocolate with curry, turmeric with pepper. Undoubtedly one of the best ice creams I have ever had. I must also mention that the service was excellent, the lady was so patient with us trying to decide, and was really happy to help. What a fabulous gelato! Huge range of vegan flavours - including sorbets and rice milk based 'creamy' flavours! I had the most amazing and unusual ice cream of my life here - a lemon and basil sorbet. We have been explained that it's pink in colour because the basil dyes it that shade. It was super tart with a hint of basil and so refreshing in the cold weather. One of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Bologna. Highly recommend!

Nice place, close to our accommodation. Interesting flavors of ice cream made from 4 different bases. The ice creams themselves are good, however, the atmosphere and service didn't quite match up. The lady didn't seem very friendly towards us. There are tastier and better establishments than this one from our point of view.

Found this place in an article online talking about it being the best place for Vegan ice cream in bologna. It didn't disappoint! We had a great selection to choose from. We had the gianduia (chocolate hazelnut flavour), mint chocolate chip, strawberry and a Coffee Granita. All very tasty! Staff friendly and willing to answer questions. Worth the walk for Vegans and Non Vegans alike.

Probably the best gelato ice cream shop I’ve ever been to. I think it has to be the best gelato in Italy!! So many options and flavours and really kind and friendly people working there. We had a tub with two flavours and then went back for cones with more flavours! Vegan options galore and lots of creamy flavours too. Next time I am in Bologna Stafino’s is the first place I am going!
