Reception is nice and efficient upon arrival. We had a nice Deluxe room which is quite spacious.|It was nice that they presented a nice plate of fruits and 3 sweet biscuits. ||But room was a bit dated and dark. The long sofa was dirty (you can see the black footprint). The shower area is frustrating with the “clever” touch button. Why can’t every hotel just make things easy of a simple Grohe tap?|Toiletries are nice big bottles but again so many 5 star hotel refuse to understand that most of their customers are above 50 year old whose eye sight is starting to fail them. I constantly have to ensure I tell my husband which is shower gel, which is shampoo by doing some tricks so he doesn’t get confuse. ||We stayed here 2 nights and made up room staff are not train well. No top up of tea bags or coffee, same for toiletries. |Excellent gym which is 24hrs and well-equipped. Breakfast buffet was ok. Not a lot of selection but the egg station lady is very pleasant and make excellent omelette. :)|Location is very good. You can wonder easily into all places - shopping or river cruise or old town. |Oscar their nice lovely resto and bar at the ground floor unfortunately was managed by service staff who is curt and have an army attitude - same as all the waiter and waitress we encounter at the popular bars in the street.

Overall great hotel and the location is very convenient. We found the staff very cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and had a pretty good selection. The last renovation was around 15 years ago and the rooms are starting to show some wear. Also when my wife went to check the menu in the Oscar restaurant in the lobby, she saw a mouse hanging around. We decided not to eat there. :)

I Stayed in this hotel back in early March and while there, I didn't realize what a gem this place was. Recent travel to Hamburg, Munich (3 different hotels), and Berlin has shown me this is an excellent facility. I had an initial problem with my room and within 15 minutes staff arrived with a new room assignment and to assist in moving. From there, the entire stay was just about perfect. Lounge and Bar - Excellent. Restaurant & Breakfast, excellent. Lobby, entry, Lifts, etc... Excellent. Some say hindsight is 20/20 but in this case perspective says it all. An excellent facility, a well trained and high performance staff, and excellent service. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for!

The hotel acts like it’s an icon and a five star hotel but the service is awful! I didn’t get an offer to help with luggage. The room was nice but not like the photos online. It looked and felt musty. The worst part was that they stole an item of jewellery from me!! I left a pair of earrings at the hotel and now ‘they can’t find them’ they were an heirloom from a family member who passed so not replaceable. I tried to contact reception who couldn’t care less and didn’t bother checking lost property. Housekeeping team were not helpful. They wouldn’t put me onto a hotel manager to help and now won’t answer the phone at all. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Germany. The staff need training in hospitality and providing a good service if they claim they are a 5 star hotel. I will now be filing a police report as they don’t seem to care.

I booked in advance an afternoon tea online, after 3 attempts it eventually worked and got the confirmation. Don't try to call them they never picked up the phone. We got there and are told we won't have the iconic afternoon tea because it is not booked in their system. Very unprofessional, tried to make it about us and that is the way it is. They suggested us to come another time. The manager came to speak to us, better as he was more professional but again it is not their fault, serving us with excuses. Bottom line for a high standard hotel, make sure your employees get through a proper customer experience and allegiance program. It will help you keep clients even when an unfortunate event like that happens.

What a gorgeous hotel. Fabulous rooms, historic charm, and excellent service. My room was modern, gorgeous, and upscale with heated floors and a beautiful tub with TV. I wish I could have stayed longer. The bar was fantastic in particular, and the staff was kind. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel, great service and fabulous location! We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 3-night stay at this spectacular property. The room was huge and luxurious, and the bathroom was beautifully appointed. The staff was charming and very helpful. We also enjoyed having drinks at the bar, as well as a yummy dinner at Zukaya, located just outside the hotel (highly recommend for great sushi and a very posh setting).

The hotel's location in the heart of Frankfurt made it convenient to get around, and the surrounding facilities were perfect. The central location was excellent, and I was moved by the deep sense of history evident in the lobby, restaurant, and throughout the property. I also used the hotel spa, where I received excellent service.||Since all the facilities follow an analog approach, I highly recommend it if you enjoy a classic atmosphere. However, if you prefer modern and state-of-the-art amenities, I suggest considering and researching beforehand.
