It was a pleasure staying at the Steigenberger. It has the perfect price - quality balance hard to find. The hotel itself even if it’s 100 years old is renovated to match today’s standards. The staff are delightful, extremely helpful and kind. They have 24 hour kitchen which absolutely saved my life the night I arrived. One thing broke in my room and without even telling them they fixed it straight away and apologized. The pool is perfect, it does have lots of pigeons but they are fun to watch as they bathe. There’s sauna and fully equipped gym. The noise from the street was very manageable although is impossible to mute it completely. I may suggest offering free ear plugs like I’ve seen in other hotels in city centers. My only complaint was the very very tight security. I know the relatively recent history of Cairo, but the metal detector every single time you enter the hotel with unfriendly looking security, and having every single taxi inspected every single time you go back to the hotel can be a bit unnerving. Other than that, I know my next time in Cairo I’ll be staying in the Steigenberger.

My 5 year old son and I have been staying here for a few days. It’s a great location, everyone is so lovely and attentive. Menna at the pool side bar has made sure everything we need is taken care of. Would definitely recommend.

What stood out most was the exceptional staff, especially (Farida), the Guest Relations Supervisor. She is a true professional – incredibly helpful, always smiling, and genuinely enthusiastic about assisting guests. Her warm and welcoming approach made our stay even more enjoyable. Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir – Balanced Stay in a Central Location I recently stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel in El Tahrir. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant from the start. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety and was a highlight of the stay. However, the rooms are on the smaller side, and if you're hoping for a scenic view, you'll need to request a higher-floor room facing the Nile River. The hotel's location is very central—ideal if you're planning to visit the old Egyptian Museum—but it can feel quite busy and hectic. If you're looking for a quieter atmosphere or aren't interested in museum visits, this may not be the best fit.

I stayed at the Steinbergen Hotel in Cairo from July 13 to 18, and overall, it was a good experience. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths, being just steps away from Al Tahrir Square and central Cairo, which makes it ideal for exploring the city’s historical and cultural landmarks.|However, the central location also comes with a downside: noise pollution is almost unavoidable, especially during busy hours and late into the night. Guests sensitive to sound may want to bring earplugs or request a quieter room, if possible.|The hotel features a small pool, which, despite its size, was a welcome relief during the hot summer days. It’s not a luxury amenity, but it serves its purpose well.|In summary, the Steinbergen Hotel offers good value, great location, and reliable service—ideal for those wanting to be in the heart of Cairo.

Our stay at Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir was very pleasant. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered many options. The location in downtown is great for exploring nearby areas like Khan el-Khalili and the Citadel; however, the noise from traffic (especially honking) outside the room is constant, only dying down around 1 a.m. The service was excellent, with Donia and Christine being particularly attentive during breakfast. The spa treatments were outstanding, and the pool provided a wonderful respite from the scorching heat.

The hotel staff are very helpful, the place is very clean and spotless. The breakfast food is one of the best places I had breakfast in. I was sad I left early before I had breakfast the my last day. They have a diverse collection of food from all over the world. I have a lot of food restrictions and was able to eat comfotably. I ordered room service and the food was excellent. The only issue I had is that it's in very busy place downtown and the car traffic sound were ubiquitous day and night (not too. loud thought) . The staff offered to change the room but it was all similar. Also the view from my room was not great, it was a mix of new and old buildings . But all in all a great place would defenately go back. Highly recommended.
