Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir Cairo

Good location for downtown Cairo and felt safe, although there wasn't much to do locally at all. Rooms are small but tidy and what you would expect. It was difficult to enjoy the shower because the temperature fluctuated a lot and so you were getting partly scolded every couple of minutes. We didn't enjoy the a la carte lunch/dinner menu - very few vegetarian options, one of which was not available throughout our stay and we were waiting 45 mins to be served our food on a couple of occasions. Staff should have informed us, so we could make alternative plans. A waiter we'd never interacted with asked us to leave her a positive review whilst eating our meal and expected us to stop eating to do it in front of her midway through our breakfast! Breakfast options were relatively good vs. the rest of Cairo for a veggie but generally boring for a non beef eater. They offer sushi/biryani but ofc don't expect it to be authentic. Gym equipment is basic, pool is outdoors so is too cold in December and gets all the street noise. Noise at night expected due to location but still able to sleep. Overall 3*.

Great location, rooms could use some renovation. Breakfast was the highlight of the hotel and Mariam Tarek was very attentive in the restaurant and did an amazing job. Chef Abdulghafoor was very welcoming, had a very positive attitude and a smile on his face all the time, we are very thankful for him making breakfast an experience every morning.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were lovely with robes & slippers. The food was excellent! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the dinner meals I ordered were excellent too. Service is superior with friendly prompt service! I returned to complete my trip here as it was a perfect ending to my Egyptian trip. Donia was so friendly and helpful at breakfast this morning!

Steigenberger on the Nile. The location is perfect, with a beautiful direct view of the river that makes the whole experience feel calm and special. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the Nile view—especially at night—was amazing. The staff were professional and helpful, and everything felt smooth from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was good with plenty of options, and the overall atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want comfort, good service, and one of the best Nile views in Cairo.

We had a great stay at the Hotel. Very convenient location at the heart of downtown Cairo where the real spirit and history of Cairo is. At the breakfast buffet Mariam Tarek took great care of us and was very attentive and welcoming! Breakfast buffet was great with many varieties. Will be coming back soon inshallah Thank you

My stay at the hotel was amazing thanks to the wonderful Guest Relations team (especially Nardine Nader). They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their kindness, helpfulness, and attention to detail really made a difference. The hotel facilities were great, and the service was exceptional. I truly appreciate how well I was treated throughout my stay.

I would like to give my heart felt appreciation to this wonderful hotel. Every single staff has gone above and beyond to help us during our stay making it an amazing experience. I can’t remember everyone’s names as there were many kind and top notch customer service. The delicious blueberry cake sent to our room was very thoughtful and a sweet touch to our precious milestone. Mariam and Ayat from the restaurant thank you for helping me with my allergies and providing me with suitable alternatives at breaky. Emad we can not thank you enough for assisting us with our cab when our original booking which I had done myself independently decided not to rock up, you kindly got us a new one quickly to ensure we don’t miss our flight and patiently waited with us when I was worried and reassured us until we were safe in the cab on our way to the airport. This was my first time visiting Cairo and this hotel is a great place to stay. They take good care of you and staff are very friendly. Guest relations is very professional and ensures a pleasant stay for all guests. I would definitely stay here again.
