Steigenberger Inselhotel, Konstanz

We stayed at the hotel as a group of 16 people, including small children — and we all absolutely loved it. The location is just perfect, right on the lake, with breathtaking views you never get tired of. Breakfast was excellent — lots of fresh, tasty options, and the chance to enjoy it while looking out over the water made it even better. The staff were incredibly kind, patient (especially with the kids!), and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Truly a memorable experience. We’d happily come back again.

A beautiful hotel on the lake. The rooms and public areas are 5 star. The restaurant has epic breakfasts and is a lovely room for an evening meal. We will be back!

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location in Konstanz, situated in such a way you can take in breathtaking sunset and sunrise views on the water. The property has been renovated with a balance for preserving historic feel but with all of the modern amenities (AC is quiet and perfect). We visited on a weekend when they had two weddings so unfortunately it was not the tranquil stay I had anticipated, but next time I will try to book nights away from a weekend. The staff are very friendly, especially front desk manager Caroline who went above and beyond to make out stay comfortable. Very close to all the shops in old town and also a quick ride away from Bodensee Therme. Thank you for a great stay!

Hotel is not not a luxury resort as it’s promotedWe checked into the hotel around 9 o’clock to adult and a child. The hotel could not even accommodate our child in a spacious room. They had to pull in a portable bed and squeeze us all into one room and again the restaurant was shut after 9 pm on Sunday so we had no dinner either the hotel recommended that we should book it from the outside.

Just came back from staying at this wonderful hotel. ||The location is perfect for those with or without a car. It is a walking distance to the train station and a mere stones throw away from the catamaran!||We arrived at lunch time and after the paperwork and leaving our luggage we went to explore Konstanz. ||We booked a lake side deluxe room and what a delight. The view was absolutely amazing. There are two chairs to view the lake along with a small balcony. ||Our bed was most comfortable and it was such a delight waking up to birdsongs.

An excellent hotel, nice modern rooms with a grand breakfast in the best location of Konstanz - the building is historically very interesting to visit (former large monastery), even if you don't live in this hotel.|The only negative was a wedding party on one of our three nights there that caused loud noise and loud music until 23:00.

Lovely rooms and views, the showers were so powerful and all the fittings are modern and convenient. Wonderful place.

This beautiful hotel was a short walk from the railway station. It is on its own little island but a great location to the old town and to go over the bridge to great restaurants and shopping etc. we had to wait till 3 to check in but could leave our bags and they had taken them to the room. We paid €273.50 per night including breakfast. We had a courtyard view as the water view is only with the deluxe suites. The staff were all polite and friendly. The room was spacious, practical and a lovely bathroom with a bath! The terrace is stunning on lake Constance and a great place for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing too. They cooked eggs and omelette to your liking and so much other food to choose from. We had a checkout of 12 so could leave our room and head to the train station without rushing or having to cart our bags around. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s very romantic and has a lot of history as it was a monastery in the 1100’s
