Steigenberger Inselhotel, Konstanz

My wife and I just spent 3 nights at the Inselhotel Konstanz. We have visited Konstanz several times over the last decade but this was our first time at the Inselhotel. The staff was professional, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We booked a room with a view of the Bodensee which made for a wonderful experience. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The only low point was the Zeppelin Bar. The decor seemed out of sync with the rest of the hotel, and seemed dated. The bar is on a corner of the hotel facing the lake but the small windows do not take advantage of the location. Overall though this hotel is highly recommended. We shall return to this hotel.

Rooms are spacious .My room was with balcony and side lake view on second flour.Bathroom renovated .Beds are very comfy ,hotel provide two types of pillow .Room service good . Breakfast excellent with wide choices of good quality products ,variety of cheeses, meet , fish and deli was changed every day . Breakfast is served at hotel restaurant with beautiful view to lake Bodensee. Hotel has sauna and gim room .Water ,towels ,robes are in sauna facility for all guest ... Reception team are very profesional and pleasant can tell additional thanks to Justina from reception team. Hotel location is central ,you can reach train station or tourist port with in 5 minutes of walking. As hotel are located on island and you can reach hotel only by bridge its gave you feeling that you are staying in some private resort that are in city clause to everything but in same time you have private and very quit neighborhood ,as building front site are situated to lake and from side windows of hotel building you see beautiful garden with side view of lake .

A truly special Steigenberger property with a unique setting directly on Lake Constance. The historic building, combined with elegant interiors and beautiful lake views, creates an exceptional atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of fresh regional products. Service is professional and attentive, as expected from Steigenberger. Overall, one of the most charming hotels in the region – timeless, elegant, and perfectly located.

Hi i would like to share our exceptional service at this beautifully situated hotel on the lake in Konstanz. We were on a month long holiday in Europe and booked this great hotel.The standout for us apart from great room and exceptional view of the lake and brilliant sauna was the staff.|When you return home after a hectic month and can still remember staff names and the interactions with them then this must truly spell a magical experience.|India helped me seek a physio and Kati gave us great local advice as did Luis.The three of them were happy and engaging and very helpful.|Ivan in the restaurant was a busy man but truly did an exceptional job .|Staff and service is everything. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location in Konstanz, situated in such a way you can take in breathtaking sunset and sunrise views on the water. The property has been renovated with a balance for preserving historic feel but with all of the modern amenities (AC is quiet and perfect). We visited on a weekend when they had two weddings so unfortunately it was not the tranquil stay I had anticipated, but next time I will try to book nights away from a weekend. The staff are very friendly, especially front desk manager Caroline who went above and beyond to make out stay comfortable. Very close to all the shops in old town and also a quick ride away from Bodensee Therme. Thank you for a great stay!

They say the lake remembers everything… every bell that ever tolled from the island monasteries, every pilgrim’s sigh, every quiet footfall the centuries forgot to claim. One feels it most in the hour when the sky ripens to apricot and dissolves into blue… the hour i discovered the cloister. A daisy in a bottle watched the evening unfold…

A beautiful hotel on the lake. The rooms and public areas are 5 star. The restaurant has epic breakfasts and is a lovely room for an evening meal. We will be back!

We stayed at the hotel as a group of 16 people, including small children — and we all absolutely loved it. The location is just perfect, right on the lake, with breathtaking views you never get tired of. Breakfast was excellent — lots of fresh, tasty options, and the chance to enjoy it while looking out over the water made it even better. The staff were incredibly kind, patient (especially with the kids!), and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Truly a memorable experience. We’d happily come back again.
