Steigenberger Parkhotel Düsseldorf (Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"You can tell the moment you enter the lobby! This is the Grande Dame of the Düsseldorf hotel scene, a real classic with a stylish modern touch, all of its guestrooms attractive and comfortable. Don’t miss Jones Brasserie, with its terrace facing Daniel Libeskind’s iconic Kö-Bogen building." - Tablet Hotels

Google
the staff are very friendly and respectful especially Miss Isabel jansen. The door men discriminate a lot i would not like to say rascist but they don’t have respect for people of colour they treat other guest very differently based on observations and personal experience with a turkish night receptionist and the morning door man who was very rude

I stayed in this hotel expecting a business room worth €300 per night, but what I got was extremely disappointing. The room was tiny, much smaller than what you would expect for a so-called business category. For the price, this felt more like a budget room disguised as luxury. The bathroom was also very small, uncomfortable to use, and definitely not up to 4- or 5-star standards. The minibar prices are outrageous – for example, a simple juice costs €8.50. The bar area is outdated, dark, and in urgent need of renovation. The so-called gym is a joke: it only has a few basic cardio machines and no real equipment for strength training or a proper workout. The beds were the worst part – they advertise double beds, but in reality you only get two single mattresses pushed together. This is very uncomfortable, especially if you’re traveling as a couple. For a hotel charging €300 per night, this is simply unacceptable. To be fair, the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, but this does not make up for the overall poor experience and terrible value for money. If you are looking for a hotel with real business comfort, proper facilities, and value for your money, I strongly recommend booking somewhere else. This hotel is overpriced, outdated, and very disappointing.

Google
my favourite hotel! I love everything about it! the rooms, the wonderful service!!, the food, the cigar room!!! the balcony where when the weather permits one can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner! the location is the best in Düsseldorf right next to all the stores and the old town.

We have stayed many years here for 1-2 visits to DUSSELDORFF annually, but are enjoying it less and less. The bar-area has been reduced to a quarter of its size and has now become the Jones restaurant, which makes it less enjoyable to stay during the evenings. Staff turnover is also very high, because there is hardly a familiar face every time we visit. Breakfast service is slow and mediocre. Rooms are still good, but the place is becoming more and more expensive. Invoice is hard to comprehend due to a multitude of entries, which may be required for their internal purposes and taxes, but makes it hard to calculate whether you paid te correct price.

Nice Hotel. Very well located. Rooms well appointed and modern. Staff needs better training. When arrived I explained I had 2 different reservations for two different continuous days. Next day I received a rude call from Front Desk if I was not going to leave the room on time for check. The person did not a friendly tone. I will note the use Aqua Di Parma Bathroom products but there are no trays in the shower to place the many small containers, which you have to place on the shower floor. I suggest refillable containers on the wall that require less plastic waist and are more convenient.

Google
Very nice experience - we will come again. Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, nice food in the brassery. We travel quite a lot and experienced already different five star hotels. Steigenberger in Düsseldorf is one of the best five-star hotels we experienced in Germany.

This was our second stay, and it was absolutely top-notch. Our first visit was brilliant, but this one was even better. The front desk team was courteous and accommodating, and the restaurant staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The Jones schnitzel is a winner every time. Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Really nice hotel. The location walking distance from shopping areas, walking paths and public transit is great. The staff is welcoming and make you feel right at home. During our stay the holiday markets nearby were nice. The rooms are clean and spacious with high ceilings. The amenities top notch such as slippers, robes even the wifi. Definitely the place to stay.

Yelp
I stayed at the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Dusseldorf, Germany on 5/30/2018 (May 30th). It was my 1st time there. I was traveling with A&K at the time and they chose it. It is a beautiful hotel with a great location. The staff and service was excellent. Plus, I took photos.

Yelp
If I could live here, I would. Seriously. Obscenely large claw-foot bathtubs, Louis XV mixed with Imperial styled furniture, large beds, massive walk-in showers, tall French doors opening onto modest little balconies overlooking the Northern portion of Königsallee canal. All with the local floating white swan as slow motion entertainment. My personal appeal to this place, is that it's relaxing any time of year. In the Fall and Winter months, I've taken to soaking in the bath with balcony doors open, the stealth Bose sound system's volume turned down low to a sultry saxophone jazz station, full Champagne flute on the heated marble floor with Düsseldorf's cold rainy mist finding its way onto my face...mixed with wind...creating a sensual juxtaposition of dreams, sweating forehead and shivering eyebrows. Aahhhhhh....

Yelp
Excellent, high quality hotel in Duesseldorf. Whenever I visit my family this is my first choice. Very comfortable rooms and great location in the center of the city. The only downside is the not included Wifi, I really wish they would change that

Yelp
Great location, great hotel. It is on the pricey side (just paid 30 Euro for a large coffee to be brought to my room) but given it's location, the condition of the rooms (walk in closet, free standing large tub, separate shower and toilet in large bathroom) and bathrooms it makes up for that. I was also lucky enough to have a french balcony, which not many rooms have. The breakfast is among the best I have ever had in a hotel (stay in about 35 different hotels every year...). Staff is friendly, helpful, courteous and overall very professional. Concierge is knowledgeable and resourceful, valet is professional and friendly as well. The room is extremely quiet, even though I have the window and balcony to the front (there is no actual car traffic however). The reason is that there are two heavy doors (an entrance way with an additional door after coming through the heavy and very well sealed front door) and there are also two heavy and multilayered windows that have to be opened before stepping onto the balcony or in the case of the bathroom, before accessing the outside air. If you need a quiet hotel room, this is it. For anyone who likes to shop and wouldn't travel here for just business, the hotel is located at the beginning of the main shopping area and very close to the "Altstadt" (old town), which is known to be the largest bar in the world due to it's many consecutive bars. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is that the fitness room is not what I would have expected for a five star hotel. November 2016 Update: Went here again for business, and had the chance to visit the nearby (worldclass) art museums (K20/K21). Had a great stay again and even though the gym is important to me (as indicated above, reason why I didn't give it 5 stars at first), the consistent high performance of this hotel with every other aspect (employees, cleanliness, room service, concierge depth of service) in addition to a hotel you just don't see at any hotel in the US (really, any) caused me to give it 5 stars. I will stay here again in April and the fall of 2017 when in Duesseldorf.

Yelp
If you are looking for a nice, cozy, and high qualitied hotel in Duesseldorf, I would recommend here. The size of the hotel itself is not that big, but I remember they have done the renovation 1 or 2 years ago. They also have a lovely restaurant and when the weather is nice, you can enjoy the table in terrace. It's in the city center, very convenient for sightseeing and going out!

Yelp
Excellent hotel close to city center! Very clean, silent and kind employees! Rooms are not cheap but ok for the service offered! Breakfast is not included - kind of expensive for 29 Euro extra- however top quality! Wifi is free in the lobby but not in the rooms (about 10 Euro/h)! Good place for a luxury and short stay!
