Steigenberger Resort Achti

The second nicest hotel in Luxor after the Winter Palace. Nice large rooms. Comfortable beds. Two swimming pools. A little pricey. But worth the money. Great location on the Nile. Great view of the river and the sunset with the felucca boats. Contrary to the reviews, I loved the food in this hotel. I had chicken for dinner. It was very good at a reasonable price of egp 800. Buffet breakfast spread was excellent. Lots of fruits, salad, cheese, live counter. Again value for money at egp 600+tax. I stayed for three nights in February 2026. Really enjoyed my stay.

Stayed here after doing a week's Nile cruise and we were very impressed. Excellent service from all the friendly and helpful staff. The main restaurant was spacious bright and clean serving excellent buffet food. Outside , was lovely with well tended gardens and a great view of the Nile. A plus for us was the main pool and bar where both the bar man and the two pool attendants made us so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel if staying in Luxor. Small down side is that the rooms may need a slight updating, however they were very comfortable and well looked after by the room staff.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to assist with every request. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, and equipped with all necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay. Its convenient location, within walking distance of local attractions and restaurants, made exploring a breeze. I especially loved the delicious breakfast buffet with a wide range of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and look forward to staying here again on my next trip.

Outstanding service by each and every staff at the resort. Yasmin in guest relation made it possible to make my birthday special with the request from my husband. She even listened to my feedback regards to breakfast and they delivered an amazing breakfast. Thank you to all the staff in the breakfast area so helpful and always on hand to help. One staff member would bring some lovely drinks for us when he saw us. We used the facilities at the spa and they couldnt do enough and made us feel special. Resort overlooks the nile and its first class. Very clean. Everytime i went to the pool a lovely staff gentleman would present a rose everyday. If your planning to visit Luxor you should stay at Steinberger archti resort they do make your stay very smooth and make you feel special and cant do enough. I will be recommending my family and friends to stay at this resort. 10/10

We stayed at Steigenberger Resort Achti in a Nile view room and the experience was truly amazing. The room was incredible, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The shower was especially outstanding and felt very luxurious. Housekeeping did a fantastic job and kept everything spotless throughout our stay. The reception staff were also excellent, very welcoming, professional, and always ready to help. The Nile view was absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of the stay. The hotel itself is very aesthetic, peaceful, and beautifully designed, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The only small downside was that it could get a bit loud at night at times due to music playing loudly in the garden. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great staff and very helpful. My tour operator had some miscommunication around room reservation but staff sorted it out patiently and gave us rooms. Kudos to Reception staff for their warm welcome and support. Room service for quick tourn around on requests. Breakfast in Karnark restaurant with Nile view and Hot air ballons , mountains and palm trees during sunrise is absolutely amazing. Good breakfast spread. Clean rooms. Italian restaurant on premise is decent. Only I reason I give 4 and not 5 ,is for the design of bathroom in the rooms we had. The door of toilet opens towards inside. Door has handlebar from outside to push the door (to close) but once you close the door nothing from inside to pull it. Also there is glass door for shower which hardly covers half the tub which means water will spill out when you shower The tub is unusually high so getting in and out is not comfortable.

The service was nice; everyone we've met was courteous. Throughout our stay, we felt secure. They have a good restaurant inside the hotel complex, and it is affordable as well. Good air conditioning in the room, good view of the Nile River. The pool is only open until sunset, which I think needs to be reviewed because most of the activities in Luxor happen during the daytime.

This hotel is in a prime location with beautiful facilities and direct access to boat rides on the Nile. The breakfast and dinner buffets were unbelievably varied, and it would likely take a whole week to actually sample a little of everything. The service was wonderful, and our small group felt very well taken care of. We were booked in the villas, which were lovely. The space felt a little bit dated, but everything was very clean and comfortable. Two very mild inconveniences – the regular spigot for the bathtub did not work (it almost seemed to be set that way on purpose), so I had to fill the tub with the shower head, which then did cause some leaking past the shower guard and onto the floor. But that was easily dried up. The other item was that our card keys (multiple rooms, not just mine) needed to be reset constantly, however the front desk was always so pleasant and obliging about it. Lastly, guests may find it handy to know that while hair dryers are not supplied in the rooms, they are available upon request. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would most definitely stay again if visiting Luxor.
