Very helpful staff. The hotel is well situated and provides a free city travel card. The trams in Basel are amazing. We asked for a quiet room and got one. We stayed in a heat wave but the room had an adequate fan. The breakfast was good. The only downside was that the room was slightly small as we had large suitcases for our river cruise and there was little room to store them. The hotel has lovely quiet gardens, a great place for breakfast or an evening drink.

We loved this hotel. I stayed there with my 2 kids. They were very hospitable and accommodating from the first minute. Luxurious bath robes and slippers gave us 5 star hotel vibes. Eva from the front desk and lovely ladies at the bfast area were very helpful. Breakfast is served in the garden which was phenomenal 🥰 loved loved loved the morning coffee in a chilled garden. Oh and delicious Swiss butter, yummm. Definitely will go back when I visit Basel next time.

We loved the hotel. I love the Ginkgo theme! We were welcomed with a glass of wine or local beer & some crisps. Room was small compared to North America, but had plenty of space for two of us, and was bigger than many hotel rooms in Europe. Bathroom was definitely small, but quite nice. Super clean. The duvet did not actually stretch the entire width of the bed, which was a bit weird. It had been a warm day and our room, 402, was south or west facing, so needed to be cooled down. Took some time to figure out the cooling system controls. The system was set to turn off every three hours, so had to get up twice in the middle of the night to turn it on again. The back garden was really lovely. We had a small breakfast, nothing special, the coffee was excellent. The staff at the hotel were superb.

Lovely welcome from the check in staff with a welcome drink and snack which was very much needed after a long day. The hotel is by a bus stop and the number 30 goes to basel sbb or its a 15 min walk. |The cosy suit was clean and had a large sofa bed which had been set up for my daughter, coffee machine and tv, and a separate room with a double bed and tv. The bed was very comfy and there were about 5 english tv channels which was a nice surprise. |The shower room was nice and had a door to the bedroom and hallway. Shower gel, shampoo, towels and a hair dryer were provided. |We were also able to leave our cases there the following morning which was helpful whilst we visitied the zoo. Which was also only a 10 min walk away, and half price with the basel card we were given. Id definitely stay here again whilst in Basel as its in a great spot for getting around and felt safe, clean and welcoming.

Had a great stay. Free drink and snack on arrival. The staff were brilliant, friendly and very helpful and loved the fact that for Eurovision they all were wearing sparkling outfits. The room was nicely presented and clean. The little touch of a Eurovision song book was appreciates.|There is a lovely little garden to eat breakfast in or just relax. Overall a little gem of a hotel. Would gladly recommend. There is one thing if you have mobility issues the steps from the street up may not be the best route

The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. There was no problem upgrading to a larger room than the one I booked a week before I arrived. The location is convenient to the center of town, public transportation, and restaurants.

This hotel is in a great location for waking into the historic district or going to the river. It is a well managed hotel with very helpful staff and a lovely outdoor breakfast patio. The desk staff was very kind and helpful and we very much enjoyed our stay. Also it has air conditioning if you are visiting in the summer!

Had a lovely experience stopping here for Eurovision. The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice. The lovely outdoor garden/breakfast / relax area was so nice and chilling out in the breakfast area in the evening or before going out. Good location only 15 mins or so walk from train station
