Stella Hotel Interlaken

The hotel was very central for the buses, trains and restaurants. The room was clean and plenty of hot water. The breakfasts were superb with a good variety of hot and cold food. The owners and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. All the desk staff knew all the area well and were able to assist us in planning our trips out and giving us some local knowledge. In the week we were there we had plans for each day and thanks to some amazing weather the week exceeded our expectations. I can also recommend the Schuh Restaurant which is handy to the hotel.

If you are looking for a hotel near to Interlaken West station, this is a good hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s walking distance of around 6 minutes from the station. It’s very quiet, very clean and staff are very helpful. My agent had booked us entry rooms but it has too small a bed for 2. We immediately asked to upgrade for CHF40 per night for a bigger room with double beds. We were happy with our bigger room which had a balcony. The staff are very helpful with suggestions on transportation routes and making things more comfortable for us. Breakfast was great. Very nice hotel. We didn’t use the pool but we saw some guests using it. Nearby the hotel are quite a few restaurants and cafes.

Spent two days @Stella Hotel. We definitely recommend them. Polite curious staff. Centrally located in town but in a quiet semi residential section which is a plus. From Interlaken OST, it is a 30 minute walk (not recommended) 15 minute via bus which is doable but 10 minute taxi is better. Interlaken West much closer and 15 minute walk is very doable. Out room had a nice outdoor roof patio with awning. Great place to chill. Nice pool. In house breakfast buffet. Rooms clean very comfortable and nicely appointed. It is only a 5 minute to 10 minute walk to middle of town restaurants, shops and town park.

Our stay at Estella Swiss Hotel in Interlaken has been wonderful, thanks especially to Nick at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and informed. He took the time to walk us through everything about the hotel and shared incredibly helpful tips about local hikes, activities, and how to make the most of our stay. Nick was patient, friendly, and genuinely cared about our experience. He even helped with our luggage and made sure we had everything we needed. His attention to detail and kindness truly made our visit memorable. Estella Swiss Hotel is lucky to have someone like him, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Interlaken.

Superb hotel set in a quiet area but very close to shops and railway stations.|Hotel staff were all very friendly and gave helpful advice on travel.|Each room slightly different. Our room had a mountain view and very spacious. A little sweet left every day. Nice touch. Sitting and work area provided. TV with plenty of channels .|Great hot and/or cold breakfast. Loved the face eggs ( you'll have to stay to see what I mean). |Half board option is in a local restaurant 5 mins away. The food is excellent. |If we ever come back to Switzerland we would gladly stay here.

When we return to Interlaken we will choose the Stella hotel again. Friendly and accommodating staff, and clean, nicely appointed, comfortable rooms. Our room had a balcony. Delicious and healthy choices for buffet breakfast in a bright dining space. The Stella is within walking distance of Interlaken West train station, and is within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Owners of the hotel are gracious and have a deep understanding of the hospitality business. I highly recommend the Stella.

We stayed at this hotel in Sept. 2025. It’s a great location - about 8 months walk to west train station and less than that to main center of town. Front desk staff was helpful with recommendations for places to eat and directions. Breakfast in the morning is very good - nice variety, fresh breads and again very nice staff. Hotel is clean and each room has its own mini fridge and safe (you just have to look for it!). Water pressure is very good and the rooms are spacious too. We enjoyed our 3-night stay.

A very nice small hotel. We had room 40 with a balcony facing the Schilthorn. It was very pleasant having a drink on the balcony and watching the sunset light play on the mountains. Not far from Interlaken West station and an easy walk to the Zentrallplatz bus stop. They encourage BYO food and drink. The included breakfast is very good. Staff are very friendly and English is spoken.

Perfect hotel for us! The wonderful owners, Bastian and Elisabeth, helped us with our lost luggage challenges and gave us a magical itinerary to follow around Lauterbrunnen, Mürren, etc. Interlaken is quiet in mid-December, so they surprised us with an upgraded suite at no extra charge. Breakfast was amazing. Highly Recommended!

We are wending our way through several countries and randomly stopping where we please. The Stella Hotel was a brilliant choice. The hotel is solid in every way. Comfortable beds, good food, Toblerone on the bed, great shower and stunning views. What makes the hotel and restaurant truly special are the owners and staff. Imagine an entire hotel staffed by friends who just want to make your visit wonderful. Highly recommend because we're entirely delighted.

The hotel is nice, the staff was friendly, the pool is nice and the breakfast fair. The most important thing about a hotel is to be able to rest. They have no air conditioning and it was the top floor, so it was so warm it was impossible to sleep. I understand most of the year they don't need air conditioning, but they should have it for hot days, if you pay 350 CHF/night you expect that.
