The atmosphere is very calm, ideal for conversation or a romantic dinner. The idea of displaying the cuts to show what's offered on the menu is very interesting, but we received our meat burned—not just the one we ordered well done, but also the medium one. The wine selection is fine. The prices on the website are outdated, so we were faced with double the cost when we arrived at the restaurant. The staff's service was good, but I would think twice about returning due to the price-quality ratio.

Not hitting the spot! As far as the food goes, it was delicious. However, for the location, ambiance, and total experience, it's not worth the money. We were regular visitors (multiple times a week) to the Stella "Diner" before it became a steak house 6 months or so ago and that was an AMAZING place. Always a great buzz in there, great food, and great service. It's such a shame they felt the need to switch to a steakhouse. I probably won't be back again just because it really did nothing for me or my partner. Again, the food was great. But I can have great food at home. RIP Stella Diner, you are missed by a LOT of the old regulars.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Stella yesterday, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion. Our waiter, Goda, provided exceptional service throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure all our needs were met with a smile. I loved the surprise birthday candle on my desert, that really made my night! The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the Tomahawk steak, masterfully prepared by Chef Luiz. It was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. Thank you to the team at Stella for making my birthday celebration so memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

A top class steakhouse in a great location, a very warm welcome from brilliant staff, very professional and educated on all aspects of the menu and drinks list, it was a lovely experience from start to finish, I had the scallops for starters and they were top quality, we shared a 550g chateaubriand and it was cooked to perfection and such a tasty juicy piece of meat, delicious veg and potatoes with brandy butter and pepper sauce, we also had a delicious cheesecake for desert, the whiskey sours were some of the best I've had, made perfectly 👌 all in all it was an exceptional evening, amazing food and such friendly staff make this place a must visit 👌👌

Google
Really excellent. Food was brilliant. Only slight downside was being rushed out to make way for the incoming people behind us. Food was really good. We'll definitely be regulars. Will most likely go mid week when it would be less busy and they don't need the table back straight away.

Excellent food, and good service. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Prices are on the higher end but we enjoyed our visit overall. Burrata started was delicious.

Google
RIP Stella diner Such a unique place. You could get American style breakfasts or lunches at any time of the day. It was beautiful . We used to eat there all the time. Any chance you could just turn it back into the diner? There's enough steakhouses in Dublin.

Google
Stella Steakhouse classes itself as fine dining (the prices certainly indicate as much with a steak costing between eur 40-46). However, when walking past it one would never guess it by the looks of the interior. The seats are close to the bar and look like something out of a 50's US diner, with cheap looking salt cartons. The host was clad in double denim. At some point we found the staff huddled down behind the bar, eating, what one could only guess, was their dinner. If I am to pay fine dining prices, I want the interior, staff and ambiance to reflect that. Fine dining should be the whole experience, Stella clearly lacks here. My other point of contention was that on the bill they already put a 12.5% service charge on there, even though there was only three of us, only to be told that that was optional when asked about it. The only positive thing I can say is that that my steak, albeit slightly undercooked was wonderfully tender. If they lower their prices I can perhaps see myself going back but for these prices, if you are looking for the full fine dining experience, I would say don't bother. There are far better restaurants that can offer this at the same or even lower pricing.

Yelp
Stella Diner looks great and offers a nice spot for a bite. The ambiance is of an upscale diner, and the place is very clean. Service was friendly and professional. My wife ordered the meatloaf. It was good, not great, and it came in a portion size that could've fed a small family. I ordered a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and it was pretty terrific--lots of cheese and with thick slices of excellent ham. The chips were good but not exceptional, and we found the milkshake a little thin but still tasty. As an American living in Dublin, I was excited to find a spot like this. The menu is diverse, and I am going to have to come back for the make-your-own omelet (something we haven't found in months of searching in Dublin.) Great spot for comfort food and a taste of American diner cuisine.

Yelp
Looks good. Been twice. Food is average Coffee is ok but refills can flow like mud! There are far better places to go for breakfast

Yelp
The Stella is a nice central spot with a cracking classic menu . All the staff were polite , and informative ; and service was very prompt . The menu itself is both diverse enough to offer plenty of delicious choices, whilst being simple enough that there's no confusion what you're ordering . The decor seems a little miss matched , everything below 5ft mimics the bright and cheery American diner feel , whilst above a dark chalky blue with not really much to look at , aside from the classic wooden beams in the atrium. As for the food , the Gammon and pineapple was delicious, filling , enough to feed two, and the piecé de resistance served with real , hot gravy (not that lumpy vomit like stuff most places try to pass off). Certainly not bad value considering the portion size. If your looking for good comfort food like nana used to make , this place is worth a bash

Yelp
Great breakfast of hash and eggs. Stylled on the quintessential American diner with all the classics. Quite busy when we arrived but seated quickly. Surprisingly good value given the location.

Yelp
My new favourite place!!! Staff are great, decor is great and food is fantastic. Proper good hearty grub made really well. Loved it and can't wait for an excuse to go back.

Yelp
Super spot for brunch. American style diner with good menu, stylish decor and friendly staff. It was busy!

Yelp
Worst dining experience in a while. After waiting 50 minutes for a table we were eager to try their brunch. We were left to wait an additional 30/40 minutes for two orders of pancakes; which upon arrival were a minuscule portion for the price. Furthermore, they came with no toppings and it cost an additional 2 euro for a measly tablespoon of whipped cream. We were told maple syrup would be brought to the table for us; it never arrived. The pancakes were burnt on the outside and under-cooked in the middle. When we paid the bill we were brought the wrong change and had to track down the waitress to ask to receive the rest of our change. Left feeling extremely disappointed and robbed of our money.

Yelp
I had sausages, eggs, toast and home fries. Simple to do but was done really well. Lil pricey at €10.50 but that's about the standard price in decent places and this place was decent. Very comfortable and nice aesthetically, and the guy who served me was very professional and friendly and made sure I didn't want for anything without being intrusive. Will be visiting again.

Yelp
I was disappointed. I got meatballs and spaghetti. The sauce was rather tasteless abd the dish was rather dry. Knickerbocker Glory was sad. Very little thought put into it. No jelly, no cream on top, no sprinkles or nuts and no waifers. Mine had ice cream, a bit of sauce and some cocktail fruit - hugely disappointing.

Yelp
Living in Ireland, I rarely miss America food but I do yearn for the American dining experience. So I was super excited when I read the Irish Times review on Stella's Diner stating that the owner went extra lengths to "create the spirit and true feeling of the American diner". I can say with great certainty that beyond the decor, it does not. The service was pleasant, but typical of other Irish restaurants. There were no extra smiles or banter, and definitely none of the sardonic humour the Irish Times described. We ordered both the regular and sweet potato fries, and both tasted of over used cooking oil. My friend had the chicken burger, and the chicken goujons for her son. The burger ordinary, goujons were more bread than chicken. I decide to take a risk and ordered the chicken and corn tortilla soup. What I got was a bowl of VERY thick tomato soup with shredded chicken topped with stale corn tortilla chips. They also did not have decaf coffee or chocolate milk, both staples of the American diner. It was very disappointing and I'm not sure if it's worth a second try. Or a even a first.

Yelp
Ughhh this review makes me so sad because I want to love this place. The location is great, the concept is amazing, the design is subperb - like it is set up for success. But why is the food SO mediocre. I've been 4 times and each time myself & whoever I'm dining with have been incredibly underwhelmed. They need to put more effort into their quality, seasoning and presentation. Also the service isn't great, but that's to be expected in Dublin. Writing this so that hopefully someone sees and they can up their game!
