We enjoyed a nice beer and cider tasting on a Saturday night with a great band playing on the deck and delicious meal from the food truck there. Great view, nice people, decent beer, and a good food truck, perfect for a laid back evening!

Great place. Couldn't decide on a beer, so had a flight. Great stuff. This place is probably pretty popular at night.

8/4/2025- We dropped by again since we were in the area. I am happy to report things here are still fantastic. The entertainment was great ( Chris O Leary Band) and the rest of the beers sampled were excellent. I had the Vacation Ale, Barva Pilsener and Local Liquid Kolsch. Every one was exactly as it should be and delicious. Was sorry no DIPA but that's ok, this place is doin it right !! Beautiful setting, cute servers, and gr8 beer. 7/2023- Finally got to set foot on the property recently. Nice location although a bit of a drive from Hammondsport. On this visit we enjoyed the Nut Brown Ale and it was an excellent beer. I look forward to trying several others. Original Comments 7/2022: Let me start by saying I am not an IPA drinker at all. I found out about this brewer while on vacation in 1000 Islands NY. Had the Local Liquid Double IPA and loved it...finally an IPA that didn't taste like morning grapefruit juice! If they can do that then I will certainly try their other beers if I can find them here in downstate NY. Nice find.

Google
Great little brewery with a nice selection of beers. Great place to be in the afternoons overlooking the hills and Keuka Lake. Had a couple beers on a couple of days and was impressed with all of them. Only thing was I wished the had more options to take home in a growler. Have a nice deck with games available for people to play including kids. Well worth the stop.

Google
One of our favorite spots, their beer is always top notch. Combine that with good music and Keuka Lake views, doesn't get any better than that!

Google
Fun, diverse selection of live music! Cornhole with terrific view of Keuka. Great ales! Meandering doggos, nice!!

Google
Great beers, FANTASTIC view! Great service, and truly looking forward to the next Kolsch release. A++!!! The 60/40 is top notch, HIGHLY recommended.

Google
4.5 stars This brewery has a decent sized tasting room, which offers food (when we went there, it was a gourmet grilled cheese station) and live music/events. The beer and cider selection was large and varied, with some more select small dark specialty dark brews as well. The place was very crowded and you can tell it is a popular local spot. Personally I wasn't a huge fan of the beers they had on tap, but it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
Great setting, good service and beer. One of our favorite breweries in the Finger Lakes.

Yelp
Charming little spot. We enjoyed wine and beer here and the nice views. They were setting up for an impressive looking music happy hour when we left which I'm sure was great based on the growing crowd.

Yelp
Beers amazing, staff is stellar and bands are awesome! We feel so lucky to have this brewery close!

Yelp
I was in the Keuka lake area on a Saturday in the summer and decided to finally check out Steuben Brewing Company. The indoor tasting space is not that big, but they have a covered area behind it and then a huge field that looks off towards the lake. There is also another tent set up where the food was being made. I had my usual hazy IPA, and the wife had a cream ale which we both enjoyed. They had a band playing rhythm and blues and people were really enjoying it. We got hungry, so I tried some of the barbecue food that they had. The people making it are there Thursday through Saturday and mentioned that on Sundays they thought there was a pizza truck there. the vibe was great - everyone seem to be enjoying themselves, and the food and beer were awesome. We had the barbecue brisket with two sides that were never ending! It's a bit of a drive for us to get here, but we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Nice place far away, lol. Great views with a fantastic brown ale. The flight was nice & my husband & I both got a taste. Best thing? They gave us a paper bag of popcorn to snack on while we tasted our flight...BRAVO..THERES YOUR SNACK CUOMO! ITS NICE NOT TO HAVE TO GO BROKE ORDERING FOOD IN ORDER TO ENJOY BEER.WE ALSO GOT 2 6PACKS TO BRING HOME. WE will definitely come back here on our next visit

Yelp
One of the first places we visited while in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beer offered and even more surprised by how awesome the fresh pizzas were. A small over outside makes delicious flatbread pizzas that are amazing. Great views and bocci ball in their large backyard gives you a lot to enjoy with your beers and food. Great time all around.

Yelp
One of the growing number of local beer microbreweries in the Finger Lakes. Steuben is located on the southwest side of Keuka Lake, on elevated land with some overlook views of the east side of Keuka Lake. Visited with a small group at the end of September 2020. Steuben's taproom is a modern, bright space with high ceilings, subway tile, soothing green and gleaming stainless steel accents, with bar, bathroom, and refrigerators with beer cans to-go (or growlers) and merchandise. Lots of seating in the spacious patio right outside, both shaded and not, more in a nearby covered area, and some scattered in the large, scenic green area surrounding the taproom. Much of these seats are communal picnic tables great for small groups. There is a food schedule for evenings on Thursdays/Fridays, and most of the afternoon on weekends, offered from food trucks or local catering. There are also better quality cheese, charcuterie, and cracker snacks for purchase. In late September 2020, Steuben had 9 of their drafts on tap, leaning on hoppy with five IPAs, along with two pilsners, a cream ale, and an Oktoberfest. Order in reasonably priced 1 or 2 pint sizes, or choose a tasting flight of four 4-oz pours for $10. Fortunately for groups with non-beer drinkers, Steuben had a half-dozen regional wines by the glass (leaning on whites), available in a tasting flight of four 2-oz pours for $12 and a quartet of regional ciders, which can be all tried in a tasting flight of 3-oz pours for $14. Overall brew quality was good to pretty good, and fun to try. What really makes a trip here worthwhile is spending time in their exceptional outdoor space. It was lovely to be here on a late autumn afternoon, enjoying the brews/beverages overlooking the spectacular views, as the sun cascaded beautifully through clouds.

Yelp
The setting was breathtaking overlooking lake Keuka. Service was great and we really enjoyed the beer and cider flights.

Yelp
This was our first stop on our in prompt brewery tour...Great location with beautiful views of the lake. Plenty of parking always a plus. Loved the sign above the entrance..good cheer, good beer to all who enter here. Once in you see this wall of all sorts of glasses and a company scramble sign.. very cool decor. Tasting was 4x4oz for $5.... great price! I went with the NY PILS AT 4.9%, very good, light, refreshing..Cashmere session pale 3.8 %..very citrus not my favorite, surprisingly the other citrus hopyard IPA at 6.8% was very tasty, their pale ale at 5.1% was just average for me. Also tried the double IPA... just ok for me. I ended up ordering a NY PILS to sit on the back deck and enjoy the view on a beautiful day before heading to the next brewery. They had a food truck in the parking lot, serving both breakfast and lunch options. Great solution to not having a kitchen onsite. *** when you check into yelp you receive $1 off your fist pint***

Yelp
On a rainy camping weekend, what does one do to pass the time? IMPROMPTU BEER TOUR!!!!! Steuben was our first stop since it was about 15 minutes from where we were staying. Gravel parking lot with a sign that says no buses. We all decided to try the 4 by 4. Its $5 for 4 glasses filled with 4oz of each beer choice you select. I have to comment that the young teenage staff were certainly uneducated and extremely lackadaisical about discussing the beer options. I've never experienced this before. Usually its beer lovers and enthusiasts that work behind the counter, eager to share their point of view about each selection. They really could care less about what they were serving. Anyway, we took our drinks onto the deck. The view reminded me of the countless wineries in the region.... Open field of grass and some wild flowers, view of water. A few yard games set up as well. Due to the rain however, this area was roped off. After the 4x4 we decided to cash in on my $1 off the first point check in offer. We grabbed some popcorn from the popcorn machine along with a $1 water from the cooler. Spent some time watching a different set of teenagers who ran the food truck in the parking lot. Had a direct view from my seat into the inside of the truck. Funny to see the staff with their food handling gloves on. There they go, carrying large coolers inside and out as well as moving boxes in and out of the truck... and the ever so flirty touches with one another. Did they change their now filthy gloves? NEGATIVE! Did people start ordering food? You bet.... Hope no one gets sick from this food truck... Watch Out!

Yelp
Great staff, able to recommend anything based off what you like! Good selection of beer, wine and ciders. Seems to always have some sort of food truck available. Amazing views and pet friendly!

Yelp
This was our first time at SBC. It was a little off the beaten path , but so glad we drove up to it. I can't remember the young man's name, but he was the owners cousin. He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He explained the different beers and also mentioned that they have wine, too. Out of our 4 glass flight our fave was Irish Red. We even bought 2 Growlers of it to go. If you're there on a nice day be sure to sit out on the deck and enjoy a beverage...or two or three... while looking out over the beautiful view.

Yelp
In the midst of the Finger Lake vineyards, hides the craft beers in plain sight. We stopped by Steuben after recommendation from a sommelier...can't go wrong. Let's see what can I say about it. Amazing view. CHECK. Great beer. CHECK. A relaxing atmosphere with games and picnic tables outside CHECK. If you have kids, it's kids friendly with board games, bottle root beer / cream soda. It has all you can eat popcorn and corn hole for outside entertainment. It's such a relaxing place that allow the adult enjoy the beer and the kids can occupy themselves with plenty of things to do. It's got quite a collection of beer for you to try. See picture for detail. Highly recommend for anyone who wants good beer and a great place to hangout!

Yelp
The local spot in this area! Great for those looking for a break from the wineries and out of towners. Excellent selection of local beers and ciders. Live music Fridays through Sundays (awesome bluegrass band while we were there). Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful view of Keuka Lake. Popcorn machine. Food truck outside. Open til 8PM (later than any other place in the area). Doesn't get much better.
google avatar

Yelp
It's really a 4.5 overall but a 5 FOR BEER. Scenery. ambience. Etc The 4.5 is due to the line you wait in to get beer. What a nuisance. Unless you're sitting at bar. Line was going so slow. Between the machine and beers pouring slowly. But this would NEVER stop me from coming They have outside area with tables. Kids and dogs all around. Perfect ambience. And some games tot top it off. Service has some nice peeps. Food trucks come also and their food is also DELISH The beer? I've been around the world and this is 1 of the top breweries based on BEER. WOW WOW always fresh and SO GOOOOOD. There's a slew of beers I love NY Pils Golden Pils And 60/40 pils The guy gave me tastes and seriously all good
google avatar

Shane B.

Yelp
This little gem not too far from the lake was a hit. A nice selection of beers and ciders. The lady behind the counter was informative and kind. The views were some of the best on the lake. We will definitely return.
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
Wonderful brewery with a great view of the lake. They're open till 7pm, so it's a great stop after wineries. We liked their Bock best.

Yelp
Hands down a great place! We went on a night where Anita's Pizza was going to be there. My best friend said it's the best pizza in the area, and who doesn't love a good pizza, right!?! There was live music as well. It was busy, but the atmosphere was on point. The outdoor space and views are amazing. They have cornhole boards which we played while we waited for our pizza order. Only negative that isn't a deal breaker is we waited almost two hours for our pizza. So if you go on a night Anita's is there, order early. We were happy consuming the amazing beer! I first sampled then stuck with the Steuben IPA. The Brown Ale surprised me. I don't typically drink dark beers, but I did enjoy it.

Yelp
Great little tasting room and high quality beer. Popcorn and pretzels to keep the salt cravings at bay.

Yelp
We were looking forward to visiting Steuben Brewery on our trip to Keuka Lake. We found the Hammondsport area to be very quiet, eerily sleepy and quiet at times all week, but Steuben Brewery was definitely hopping the evening we visited, for good reason. The setting is beautiful, on a wide open space with a nice view, perfect for sitting outside to enjoy the brews. I really wish I spent more time appreciating it. The place was "crowded" (relatively), and there was a line to get your beer, but we were lucky to snag one of the last tables to sit at. I tried a flight of the Pedersen Pilser, the 60:40 Haullertau:Sauz Pils, the Cab Franc Pils, and the Harmonyville IPA. All were very good. The Cab Franc Pils did have notes of wine grape, which I liked. The Harmonyville IPA was a hazy New England style IPA, which is very much a trend at the time of this writing. Not my favorite style of IPA, but this was executed well, and not too fruity or tart. I'd love to go back to enjoy the place again.

Yelp
The rudest establishment i have ever been to. Do not stop at Steuben Brewing Company no matter what. Its worth the drive to go to absolutely any other brewery in the finger lakes. The male bartender was so rude.

Yelp
Had a terrible experience here. On the surface, this place seems really awesome: absolutely stunning location, extensive selection of locally brewed beers, and a relaxed atmosphere. Upon walking in, the service was fine and three of the four members of our party ordered wine flights (we just ate a big meal and didn't think we could stomach beer). After we finished the flights, I took the board back in and wanted to ask the servers if I could buy a bottle of the rosé to take home. I waited for about 10 seconds at the counter and the young guy working behind the counter comes up to me and says "who is driving you guys?" I told him that we had my best friend's mom as our designated driver and that she was not drinking. Note: All we had to drink was the flight. He then proceeded to tell me that he saw two of the women in my party dancing outside and that "they were liable for not only the driver but everybody in our party." Indeed, my two friends BRIEFLY danced to the live music they had, but in no way would that indicate intoxication (this was BEFORE they even drank their wine flight so...). Upon telling this to my party, everybody was rightfully annoyed, so we went back to the bartender and told him that they had lost our business as this was absolutely ridiculous, but he said that "sometimes you just need to make a judgment call." Interesting, since that judgment call was not made to the party in front of us guzzling beer and smoking a copious amount of cigarettes, nor any of the other parties having multiple full glasses of wine. I guess having two women quickly dance together in Trump country just drives the sexist 19-year old kid behind the bar really crazy (both of the bartenders we saw were absolutely under 21.. one of them told us.) Don't go here. There are so many other places to go to (Keuka Brewery is great), but we absolutely won't be back here and would never recommend it anybody we know.
google avatar

Justin D.

Yelp
Nice place... bartender was pretty miserable. They had three IPAs, and three Pilsners. All were decent. Bartender (young kid) ruined it for me.
google avatar

Christine W.

Yelp
Everything about this place is amazing. The beer is top notch. The bartenders are quick and accurate and extremely friendly!! You need to stop in and enjoy a pint you will not regret your stop. The atmosphere and the view are so inviting. Give this place a chance and stop in !
google avatar

Johnny D.

Yelp
Another great place to have a beer above Keuka Lake. We stopped in to test out the beers and a bit of Prejean wine as well. Surprised this place wasn't listed already, but maybe Yelpers don't come around in the wintertime. Friendly staff helped us out with our selections and we chatted for an hour at one of the tables. Everyone seemed pretty pleased with the selection as well as the atmosphere. The other guests seemed to enjoy the place as well. I'm not a beer drinker, so don't take my word for it. Maybe one day Keuka will be as famous for its beer as it is for wine.
google avatar

Terese C.

Yelp
This is a rather new brewery with great views as they sit on the hill on the west side of Keuka Lake. You select 4 beers for tasting. You can also purchase a flight of wines (NY State and local) if you don't want beer. They offer freshly popped popcorn and have pretzels at their bar. There are tables outside where you can sit and enjoy the scenery and nice weather. The beer flights were in snifters and filled to the top. Very nice inside and out. A must go to brewery.
google avatar

Justin P.

Yelp
Great place to have a beer, and enjoy the view. Probably one of the best views on Keuka Lake, and great beers to enjoy it with.
google avatar

Katie S.

Yelp
They have free popcorn and pretzels, beautiful outdoor seating with a great view of the lake, and the Coco's Cafe food truck parks in their lot. The beer is 4 tastings for $5. Our party was a fan of the Brown Ale, our fav was the Strawberry. Its definitely different, but would be great iced on a summer day.

Kevin F.

Yelp
Steuben is a must stop for us when we are in the area. They have some really good beers and serve a nice dry cider for those who don't like beer which compliments the wine offerings. Good view of the lake and they have nicely adapted to the distancing requirements of COVID. My favorite brewery on (or near) Keuka lake.
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
Likely something you would already assume but don't come here looking for frills and anything other than a straight up brewery. Free popcorn is probably the highlight in the frills department. Regardless, this place provided probably my favorite IPA of the region. The outdoor area is nice, not a whole lot to see but none the less still a decent overlook. The place in general has a mom 'n pop type feel and from my limited knowledge is the eldest of the local breweries. I'd recommend this place to whoever is in the region and needs a break from the wineries.
google avatar

Andy M.

Yelp
Best brewery with the best view on Keuka Lake! Great staff, tasty beverages, family friendly, lots of seating and fun yard games. Great job! Knocked them a little because their drink menu is solid, not spectacular. Would like to see a little more creativity as they grow. We'll be checking in often!
google avatar

Kaleigh E.

Yelp
This place has everything you could ask for - delicious drinks, plenty of outdoor seating, and a beautiful view of Keuka Lake! Stop by on a summer evening for live music and a bite from a local food truck! This is such a fun place to get together with family or friends on a nice day.

Frank D.

Yelp
Amazing place with great beer (brown ale is my favorite) and wonderful atmosphere. Went on a Sunday and heard good music. Brick oven pizza was delicious (we had the meat lovers and the chicken bacon ranch). Not to be skipped if you are visiting the area!
google avatar

Marianne K.

Yelp
We came in on Saturday, April 23. First things first: the beer is solid. There's free popcorn to snack on, which is a nice bonus. They had some board games available, so we played a few rounds of Chutes and Ladders. Lots of fun :) They had live music and a food truck, but that might only happen on Saturday nights? It was an affordable and tasty dinner. Only downsides are the small size of the place, and the volume of the music was a little too loud. However, I think when it's warmer and people can spread out onto the patio, space won't feel so tight. (And volume won't seem so loud if the music is outside.) Overall, we had an awesome time and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
The IPAs were all amazing and fresh. Even the pale ale and pilsner (which are not my favorite styles) we on point. Regret not bringing home a sixtel of the brown.
google avatar

Ray E.

Yelp
You can tell by the full parking lot that this is the place to be! A truly family-run Brewery was phenomenal beers. More often than that you can count at a food truck with some great food. Great music most weekends as well.
google avatar

PJ H.

Yelp
Definitely worth checking out! Nice place to have a beer, catch a view of the lake, play corn hole or throw a disc and family friendly too! Quite a selection of brews to choose from! Good atmosphere. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Wine available for your friends that want to join in on the fun! Musical acts and food trucks on weekends.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
Great place with an even better atmosphere! The staff were really nice, and the beers were reasonable. They even had ciders and wine! There was a food truck, so my husband and I ate there as well. Oh, and there's a popcorn machine to snack on things while you're there. It's worth a stop!
google avatar

Meggie S.

Yelp
This was our first time here and I really enjoyed it. Beer- Although I wasn't a fan of any of the beers and I found them to be a bit "hoppy" for someone that enjoys that type of beer, I think they would really enjoy this place. With that being said, I wouldn't have been opposed to ordering a glass here to sip on. Most of the ones available were all ales/pilsners. There were no wheats, porters, stouts, brown ales at the time Atmosphere- The place is really cool and a bit hipster. I think they hit the nail on the head here. Free popcorn and pretzels to munch on with high top tables to drink at. There are some board games in the corner to sit around and play while you drink and outside there was a good band and cornhole boards. What more could you want?!!
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
We stopped in here while touring the vineyards and breweries on Keuka Lake. It was easily my favorite of all the places we visited. People were nice, space was nice, but most importantly the beer was fantastic. Their brown ale is literally the best I've ever had. Took a growler of it back home with us to Massachusetts. If you're in the area, stop in and have a few, you'll be glad you did.
google avatar

J T.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Super cheap and great beer. Recommend the double, the American, and the brown. Great service and good people. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Ash N.

Yelp
Came for a tasting stayed for the beer. Free popcorn is a hit and the glassware retailing is pretty neat.
google avatar

Don N.

Yelp
This brewery is a blast. They make it a totally familiar place to hang out and sample beer. All of the beers we tried were complex and flavorful. The servers (could also be owners) are attentive, friendly and welcoming. The view of Keuka is soooo beautiful.
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
Absolute best brewery in Keuka lake or in the finger lakes entirely. My wife and I have driven up and down the different lakes and tried a bunch of breweries and wineries and we can't help but write about this place. The beer is delicious and the brown ale is to die for.... Well done by a family brewery from the area that really cares about the local farmers. So many locals from the area frequent this place and that should tell you something!!! Go see Candy at the bar, not only a good bartender but an absolute darling. Enjoy the view of the lake, the beer, and the people!!!! You won't be disappointed!!!
google avatar

Meagan G.

Yelp
Came by for some tasting and had a great time. My husband and I shared a beer flight, which was awesome. Their beers are delicious. My favorites were the Brown, Vacation, and Pale Ale. The people working were so friendly and knowledgeable. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try!

Jeremiah T.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and add this to your list of stops the next time you're taking a trip along the Keuka wine/beer trail. It's a small place, and it doesn't look like much from the road, but don't let that fool you. They opened less than a year ago, but they have some of the best beers on the trail. (To give you a sense of where I'm coming from, I tend to not like IPAs, and I gravitate more toward light Belgian ales, ambers, and stouts. I like crisp, balanced flavors without a ton of fruit and spices.) My girlfriend and I had a flight to begin with, and we really liked the brown ale and the pale ale. Before we left, we got a pint of the pale ale to enjoy on the patio, and a growler of the brown to take with us. We liked it so much, in fact, that we made a point the next day to stop at the Prejean winery on Seneca Lake; they're owned by the same people, and they have the Steuben beers on tap there, too. So, whether you're on Keuka or Seneca, be sure to sample some of the Steuben Brewing Company's finest.

Yelp
Great mix of beers made with local ingredients friendly owners and nice balance of hops in their beers

Paula B.

Yelp
I've been to a lot of breweries and Steuben is my favorite. Music every Saturday night, food trucks, free popcorn and pretzels and great IPAs!

Kristofer K.

Yelp
Awesome brewery with a great variety of beers to chose from. No matter what your preference, you'll find something you love here. I'm a huge IPA fan and their Steuben Club IPA is on point. We sampled a flight on the patio which had a great view. A nice place to just kick back, relax, and enjoy a delicious beer. We also enjoyed the live music.. We will be back soon!
