We rented back country skis from the building next door to the STF. The service we got from the lady in the ski rental shop was exceptional! We really enjoyed our 2 days of exploring the Grövelsjön nature. We also bought a baklava from the STF shop. They sell lots of useful camping gear and nice souvenirs. Due to there being a wedding, we didn’t get a chance to try the food in the restaurant. We were able to park our campervan in a nice carpark 9 min walk from the STF. The carpark also had public toilets which was useful. All in all we had a delightful weekend. We will be back!

Awesome! Everything at this place is magical. The breakfast was really delicious. Even gluten free was possible. During the day you can go for breathtaking hikes, see reindeer’s and waterfalls including incredible views. In the evening you can enjoy some beer at the window staring down The Valley. Nice people, Ambiente and rooms. Visit this place!

The location is perfect for hikes in the fjall, we saw lots of reindeer! And I recommend the boat trip back from Sylen.|The fjallstation is cosy and clean, with a great shop and very good breakfast! We would love to come back, it must be great in winter too…

Great location overlooking Grövel lake below and the Norwegian fells on the other side of the border. Small yet adequate rooms with comfortable bunk beds. Plenty of public areas and tons of information about the area and what one can do there in each season. They also have a well stocked convenience store as well as a hiking rental shop. The restaurant serves great meals with vegetarian options too.

If you want to learn or practice cross-country skiing, STF Grövelsjön is the place to be. The magical winter landscapes, relaxed atmosphere both on the tracks and in the STF, the amazing food made my stay here unforgettable. If you're a complete beginner, it's good to know that the tracks are quite hilly. However I would definitely come back here!

The station has a charming and authentic feel and is set in superb settings. The staff is very friendly, the facilities comfortable and cosy. You get excellent relaxing time and sleep after an exhilarating day in the Swedish wilderness.

The surroundings are magic, and perfect both for cross country skiing and hiking. The hostel is a bit run down and very expensive for a room with just bunk beds and a small bathroom. No TV, no coffe/tea etc. But the organic breakfast (included) was much appreciated. No hot options though (except boiled eggs). The beds are ok, pillows very small, but there were several in the room. A plus for all the recycling options.||A minus for the dinner situation. When we first arrived, hungry and ready for a nice dinner we couldn´t have any because it was fully booked (and needed to be booked before 12.00 anyway). A big disappointment which left us hungry. The following day we booked dinner. But there was no choice but to have a 3 course dinner, and no choices except vegetarian or non vegetarian - the dinner menu was set (even though they accommodated allergies). The dinner itself was nice, but since I didn´t have any starter or desert it was a very expensive dinner, and would have preferred to be able to choose from a few dishes rather than have desert. . ||The Wi-Fi was available on and off. Didn´t try the spa.

Great location to stay when hiking in the area. 100 SEK/night to use the facilities if you are a STF-member, 200 if not. The house is cosy and provedes several public rooms. I have visited several places like this in Sweden and I have to say that they have to step up the food at here. A three course dinner around 400 SEK needs to be better.
