Stayed in a tent so can't say much about the rooms but the atmosphere is so chilled - the facilities are great - but then again after 100+killometers all real toilets would seem incredible! The shared kitchen was easy to navigate. Great location - just shame I missed seeing the northern lights... Apparently they don't wake you up for it 🤣

I did camping there, so I can't say anything about the rooms. However, it's a very nice and clean place for being highly trafficked by the hikers. The service attitude is very good. You can buy breakfast to a decent price even if you don't stay at the hotel. However, for dinner, you should book in advance or you may risk not be accommodated.

The cabins have a good infrastructure with running water and electricity. They encourage you to become a STF member so you can get access to the service area for a small fee. In the service area you have access to the kitchen, the showers and the sauna. Depending on the season it might be crowded and difficult to find a good spot if you bring your tent. They offer you guided tours to Kebnekaise and even renting the gear if you need.

This place is marketed as part of the STF network, and is even noted as an STF site on the STF website, but they overcharge for services, and don't follow the prices listed per STF. For example a day pass in an STF hut is 40 SEK, but it is 250SEK here, even if stopping by for an hour in a rainstorm. Location is beautiful, and the cafe is nice. In fact prices for the cafe were surprisingly reasonable (cinnamon bun for 45SEK), considering the STF fee shenanigans.

The Fjällstation is clean and well organized, has a well-equipped store and a proper drying room. The food is delicious and plenty, the staff is friendly.

We stayed there for three nights after hiking Kunglseden. We knew about the inconvenience of toilets and showers in the summer of 2023 and were prepared for it. We also knew about the Climate Summit. Due to a foot injury, going to far, far away toilets was tiresome, although we were glad the sauna was opened and working with limited showers. We also used a self-service kitchen, which was fully equipped. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but this was about the location around the mountains compared to Abisko Fjallstation. But the most important things were provided, and that counts. Our 10-bed dormitory room wasn't full, but a little bit cold at night. But this was our fault as we didn't notice how Swedish windows work! The reception staff was deaf-friendly and easily approached. Considering water issues in this season, the costs of staying were way too overpriced.
