STF Smygehuk Fyr Hostel

Amazing place by the lighthouse that is just magical, run by the most caring and sweet couple Mick & Joanna and their cute dog Sheldon! What a treat we had! And the food they serves was absolutely topping it all off! So much care and love! Coming back for sure!

A truly special place run with so much care by the hosts, Joanna and Mick. They've put in a tremendous amount of work into renovating the hostel with so much attention to detail, and the rooms are so cosy and full of charm. Joanna’s cooking is absolutely out of this world – do not miss the chance to try her food! They go above and beyond as hosts, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. And of course, Sheldon the dog is just the bestest boy, making it even harder to leave on departure day. This is a lovely and magical spot – I can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Lighthouse as part of a creative retreat, Mick and Joanna are really kind and warm hosts, the food is fanatastic and the location breathtaking. We hope to come back again soon!

Wonderful place to stay for a quiet getaway by the coast! The accommodation was lovely, and being able to go up the lighthouse was an absolute treat! The hosts themselves were also superb and very accommodating. I'd also recommend considering the breakfast hamper, we really enjoyed having it outside in the warmth. It's not a hugely busy area but there are a few nice craft markets nearby, plenty of stunning scenery, and a good beach for swimming a couple of km up the coast.

Amazing place! The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, beds and linens are extremely comfortable and the breakfast basket is so worth it. Kitchen and common areas were clean and well stocked. Glad to stop here on our bike tour of the sydkustleden.

The owners and hosts have dreamt up the perfect experience and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for the top hospitality and we can’t wait to be back x x

I had the most beautiful time at smygehuk fyr! The hosts are super friendly and I felt warmly welcomed from the beginning to the end of my stay. The breakfast basket was the lovliest and tastiest thing I‘ve ever had at a hotel. You can really taste their love for food and all the details were just briliant. I‘m sure the restaurant they are planing to opem will be amazing. thank you very much and I wish you all the best!!

What a cosy place! Nice rooms, beautiful view, AMAZING breakfast! Next time we’ll definitely stay longer, and hopefully we can have dinner at the restaurant because we are 100% sure that the food there will be amazing. Thanks for everything Mick!
