This Museum is packed with so much information and I particularly relate with this place as quite a number of the items here were still used by my Late grandmother. All the items on the house were donated by indigenes of St Georges as the house was left deserted for a long time. So much history shared in the time spent here. I recommend this place in other to get a glimpse in to the past and how life was lived prior to civilization. This is a must-visit for anyone in St. George’s

$5 for entry but it is worth it!!! MUST GO PLACE AT BERMUDA. There is a lady who introduced every collections at museum. A lot of collections are donated by local people as memories. There is a water tank at the behind of building, which is how people collect water who live in Bermuda. At the lower level there is a printing room, where shows how to press newspapers at Bermuda. The lady who work here is kind and knowledgeable, you can ask her everything related this museum.

The museum was incredible, small but had several very interesting exhibits. I visited it with my boyfriend, who works here, and the lady treated us quite rudely. She asked us what we were doing here, and when we told her he worked here, she made several comments about not knowing why they kept hiring people from abroad. Her comments were very racist toward foreigners! Personally, it was the museum that caught my attention the most because of its history, but I was disappointed by the service. I don't recommend it.

a gem of a museum in the Old Towne of St. George. it's the OG of museums in Bermuda and is the best historical representation of a Bermuda house in the 17th/18th c- though the antiques cover 17thc - 20th and is a propa old school museum jam packed of items collected and donated over the 120 odd years as a house museum - lovely staff and all mostly all volunteers that keep this historical treasure going. check out the printing press in the cellar!

A small and unassuming museum from the outside, but on the inside it is packed full of history, paintings, pictures and artifacts dating back hundreds of years. The museum attendant was friendly and helpful with detailed knowledge of both the museum house itself and the island of Bermuda too, with its complex and intriguing story.

My wife and I just returned from St. George's Bermuda. We stopped by the museum on Monday afternoon and had a very delightful conversation with the docent there. Our nearby Williamsburg, Virginia has very close ties to St. George's Bermuda from the early 1600's. A very nice visit. This is one of the oldest buildings in Bermuda. Very well preserved.

Loads of facts on historic Bermuda can be found here and there is lots to look at and do however it would be more nice if they were a little less hard on the plants and the way the landscaper treats them. I don't car if the palms "look funny" you never cut a frond until it is completely brown or else it will suffer. No green do you cut. Not even a little bit. Leave the fronds on until they've dried COMPLETELY!
