On the Grid : Sticky Institute

"Power to the zine! Part gallery, part retail space, Sticky is an artist run initiative promoting, selling and supporting the creation of zines from Australia and across the globe. An incredible spot to be inspired by indie publications, not only can you find some real treasures, but you can also create your own using the Sticky photocopiers, typewriters, badge makers, guillotines and stationery. Located in the Degraves subway, get under ground and get involved." - Grosz Co Lab

Awesome space full of laughter, creativity and good vibes. Used to visit totem in their former Degraves St location, but this one is bigger with space for workshops and life drawing classes. Bought a small pile of local zines ahead of the NSW Central Coast zine fair on the 19th July.

I recently went to one of their zine construction workshops. Alex and Jarrod were fantastic hosts and I'm really happy to join such a lovely community of creatives 💖

You guys are tired, go do something else, change management or something. Joint needs a refresh, facelift, 1 bucket of botox perhaps.

It's tucked away on the 8th floor of the wonderful Nicholas building. Take your time to browse the zines, explore and pick up a couple.

Loved it! Great little hidden treasure. Loved the view and the welcoming and chilled vibe.

Personal, personable, progressive. Buy, sell, trade, gift and meet people that also love zines, typewriters, scissors, glue and the immediate and the authentic experience of people and papercraft.

Huge zine place. LGBTQ friendly but not exclusive. They also produce zines and curate a major Australian copy art show.
