We stayed 2 nights at Sticky Rice, and did the Tasting Asia (without seafood) cooking class. The rooms were amazing ($$$), though breakfast were provisions maybe a little stingy for two nights, especially considering the cost. One word of warning; the sliding door to our villa (Zen) was extremely heavy and hard to move, worth considering if you have an injury or are older.
Our cooking class was fun, though we felt a little on edge throughout, as our chef instructor, though friendly, was sometimes scant on detail when explaining what we were to do, and then got frustrated when we did something wrong. This for some reason became less of an issue once we had had a glass of wine.
The food we cooked was amazing, and we learned a lot from the experience. The people (both participants and staff) were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely consider doing another class, though the pricey accommodation means we will likely not stay again.
