Everything was so good! The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mow were full of flavor, the veggie rolls were fresh and crispy, and the sticky rice with mango was the perfect sweet touch. Definitely ordering again!

Google
First time picking up an ordering of mango sticky rice from this restaurant. The pick up was easy , the mango was fresh and perfect the rice and was great it was sweet and salty I wish there was more coconut sauce with the rice but I’ll just add extra next time but overall (8/10). I would ordered again .

Google
I love this spot! They are so friendly and they give you what you pay for! Other Thai spots I’ve gone to were always over charging or give you smaller portions but not them! I hope God keeps their business thriving

Google
It’s a bit of a drive for us, but it’s worth it. We love this place and they’re always super nice when picking up food. I ask for extra chicken and I actually get it in my fried rice. Give this place a try it’s awesome!

Google
Such a lovely place. This is our 2nd time here and it's still so good. For the price, you will not be disappointed - portions are huge and quality of food is delicious and authentic. Service is wonderful. Place is so clean and beautiful. The only thing is it's not spicy so don't be afraid of getting 4 or 5. Overall, such a great thai place!

Google
I ordered a Lao papaya salad but ended up receiving a Thai papaya salad instead. I’m very disappointed because it was too sweet and it’s not what I wanted at all. Unfortunately, I threw it away. Please make sure orders are correct next time

UPDATE: 2/07/2025 Still the BEST Lao & Thai restaurant in Dallas metro area. I’ve tried other Thai restaurants but Sticky Rice is still the best and authentic place to get nam khao. The owner said they make them fresh to order. No wonder it tastes so good! Their Lao style papaya salad is top notch and so wonderful with sticky rice. The owners and the employees are so sweet and very attentive. They gave us a tote bag, cups and hats with their custom logo on it. For sure we’ll be wearing the hats often. ========== We order food here once a week since they open a few years ago. By far it’s still the best place for authentic Lao and Thai food. I tend to order the same thing, like my favorite Lao style papaya salad, catfish curry, sticky rice and pad see ew. I always order jeow bong. They have the best jeow-bong in town. Besides the Lao festival, this restaurant is the only place we order jeow-Bong. For the first time, I ordered Kao Peik noodle soup since I keep seeing posted on FB. I always smell and taste any soup first before I put anything in it. I am very impressed how flavorful the soup is! The best part about this soup is that they serve with fried garlic. I love garlic! I can eat garlic like there’s no tomorrow. This place is awesome!

Google
Fantastic food! We don’t eat out much but when we do, we try new places. It was so good! I personally had the chicken fried rice, my kids got Pho, sweet and sour chicken and my husband got the Mongolian beef. Also they have these giant macaroon ice cream sandwiches. 🫶🏽 The price is a little high but what isn’t these days. Great service!

Yelp
I've tried numerous curries, noodle dishes, appetizers and desserts over the years from Sticky Rice. I enjoyed the experience, as it was the first time I have been introduced to the cuisine. I find the fried rice entrees to be very spicy when ordering a little spicy, and the curries to be only a little spicy when ordering a little spicy. That isn't a problem for me, though, but just something new customers may want to be wary of, which is to be on the safe side if they do not like spicy food.

Yelp
Menu on website states that some meals have vegan options upon request, also to inform staff of any food allergies when ordering. My partner and I chose This restaurant due to this statement. I ordered one of those meals and specifically asked for vegan and informed them that I have alpha-gal syndrome which makes me allergic to red meats and dairy. After eating half of my dish I became very ill and left the restaurant. Leaving my partner to finish their meal alone and pay. They also investigated what made me ill and discovered that the meal was not made vegan as it was made with a beef broth.

Yelp
This is a solid Thai food restaurant! I like ordered the fried rice and red curry chicken. Both are delicious!

Brandon D.

Yelp
Sticky rice is a local staple for my family. It is so close to our house and they always serve consistently good Thai food. The service is always good here. We ordered chicken pad kee mao, tamarind shrimp, Panang salmon, spicy catfish, and ginger shrimp. The pad kee mao was loaded and I liked how they sauces the noodles. This was my first time trying the tamarind shrimp, it has a good crunch and the tamarind sauce was good as well. The shrimp is huge also. The panang salmon was really tender and accompanied by a flavorful curry with pieces of avocado. The spicy catfish is one of our favorites, we order it every single time. The fish filets are almost fall apart good, especially coated in curry. I love pouring the curries over my rice and eating the bell peppers and onions too. This is one of the best restaurants in Murphy

Yelp
One of the best Thai places I've had in Dallas/suburbs of Dallas? Lol The portions are huge and they do spice at a Thai level so you know it's legit. I can handle some heat and the medium level 2 is really darn spicy. I usually get 1.5 which is an option apparently. If you can't handle heat let them know This place is reminiscent of a place I went to when I was living in Austin called Madam Mam's, where the flavors are on point and so are the portions. You always have a second meal here at sticky rice and I love that! I've had the curries, fried rice, and noodles and everything is spot on. Their pad Thai is a little different from the average place FYI, but you might enjoy it, just don't expect the typical pad Thai. I always get the pad kee mow, it's my go to, soooo good. Also their chili paste is really good if you're into spice, I think they make it? They also have chili oil and some other condiments. I've checked out a few Thai places in DFW but none as memorable as this place. I will say Sabaidee is on my top as well but this place might just best it out for me.

Barbara-Jan F.

Yelp
The food is always good with large portions. The service is excellent. One of our go-to places several times a month!

Madeline A R.

Yelp
Honestly this place was pretty mid. The box of pad Thai was all spilled everywhere. It also had kinda a weird taste. Drunken noodles were pretty good. Nothing crazy but nothing bad. HUGE PORTIONS which is definitely a plus; considering how expensive it is, I'm glad they were this big. Crab Rangoon's were a miss. They are like egg rolls but not crispy enough that we threw most of them away. I'd probably recommend Tahn Thai over this place.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Food is dependable and good every time. I understand if you don't like their recipes but how could you! Have things on the menu I need to try, but tend to stick to my favorites! Always respectful, prompt, and great service.

Monique R.

Yelp
My two sons and daughter in law took me here for my Birthday dinner, my request. We usually get take out but dined in this time. Got appetizer n ordered our food. The plate for the appetizer had a live baby roach on it. Our food came and me n my son sent it back n decided not to eat. There is never just one roach. Waiter was nice and apologized but I think manager should have done something. Sad to say I can't go back. Completely grossed out.

Yelp
Ambiance here is kinda average "strip mall" stuff. Not great, but not bad. The concrete floor and high metal ceiling make it a bit loud when busy. Service is good. They could do better at clearing the table toward the end but I was able to do that myself as the adjoining table was empty. We were having a bit of a family gathering as our son and his fiancé had been on a trip to the Dominican Republic and wanted to do a show and tell. A table full of dirty dishes was not desirable. Now for the food. It's some of my favorite Thai food anywhere. It may run just a very close second to Noodle Wave, but doesn't have the issue of being halal, so you have more choices on the menu with the addition of pork. I had a spicy catfish dish that I have had before, and it's just fantastic. Spice levels are true to what I imagine is a "Thai heat" scale: 1-5. 3 was very spicy!

Farida C.

Yelp
Take out was great, all items tasted great. We would definitely recommend this place to all Mango sticky rice dessert was delicious

Sarah P.

Yelp
Consistently good Thai food. Standouts are the yellow curry and fried rice dishes. The pad see ew is a bit too sweet with somewhat gummy noodles, so I'll skip it next time. I'm always happy to do takeout or dine-in here whenever I'm in Murphy. Yum!

Beeg T.

Yelp
Everyone agreed this was the best Thai food we have had in a while. Everything we tried was really good. Good service as well.

Fonda C.

Yelp
Quick service. Food is delicious and portion size is generous. We ordered papaya salad Lao style, pad see we, pineapple fried rice and mango sticky rice. The spicy and savory Asian flavors hit the spot for me. Ambience is what you would expect in an authentic Asian food spot. One thing I was shocked by is that our waitress was serving all these tables and somehow managed to not ignore us, unlike other authentic Asian places. That was impressive!

Semhar M.

Yelp
Yum yum!! First time visiting Sticky Rice and most definitely not my last. We ordered herb pineapple fried rice, the chicken pad Thai (both meals with extra egg, bc why the heck not), dinner portions. When I say these sizes will FILL you up! I've already had some of my leftover noodles, gave some to my one year old and husband, and STILL have enough for another meal now waiting for me safely in the fridge. Only thing I would change is the heat level. I went with mild today. I have no idea why. I grew up eating injera, I know spice. I'm bumping up to like a level 4 or 5 next time. The mild was a bit bland but nothing a little bit of sriracha and soy sauce didn't fix. Lovely customer service for a takeout order and the inside is quaint and intimate. The Thai Tea is sweet sweet sweet, I had to water it down a bit but wow was it delicious. Next time I return I'm getting the tom yum soup. And more kick in my noodles. Peace!

Slim P.

Yelp
Upon two visits some fairly extensive culinary satisfaction has been realized. Both times I eagerly enjoyed the Pad Thai while dining in, along with a couple of chicken eggrolls. Each time I also ordered their pineapple fried rice to go. I added chicken and shrimp to both of these dishes even though the Pad Thai comes with tofu. These portions are large. So even though my bill is around $40, I can take home and eat up to four times for that money. Now days that's not bad. Service and ambiance are good.

Julie P.

Yelp
Food was delicious, my favorite is the mango with sticky rice. I usually order the pineapple rice with chicken medium hot because I like it with a little spice.

Tiffani C.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Thai/Laos food come here!! It's your typical shopping strip dine in ambience. Went in and the girls up front were friendly and sat us down. The menu is pretty extensive. Oh so much to choose from! We ordered the Crispy Rolls Pork- yum! The Shrimp Blanket- yum! The Lettuce Wrap- yum! The Laos Style Sausage, Tom Yum Shrimp, Yum Beef, Mixed Veggies with Chicken, Papaya Salad Laos style, and Sticky Rice. I know we ordered A-LOT!! The portions HUGE!!! Whole lotta goodness! EVERYTHING tasted just home cooked and just comforting and good! Will be going back when in the area for sure!

Yelp
Made a 45 min drive to try their food. Ordered the food one my way there and was told the wait time is 45 mins and it took close to an hour. They were busy with dine in and to go orders Ordered 1. Curry fried rice with tofu spice level 5: Extremely dry fried rice, zero soy/salt made it all the more difficult to eat. We had to stir fry again with soy sauce to eat 2. Pad Ke Mow with Tofu Spice level 5 : This was decent extremely spicy. Will try the level 4 next time. 3. Herbal Chicken Fried Rice Spice Level 5: This was the best item we ordered. I enjoyed it. Not worth the drive and wait, might give it another shot if I am in the area

Samantha C.

Yelp
Honestly this place is one of the best Thai places I've had in the DFW so far! The portion sizes are so generous, and everything is absolutely delicious! I would 10/10 recommend the pineapple fried rice! It was an absolute hit at the table! This place can get busy, so be sure to call ahead if you are ordering for take out. I've seen people waiting for 20+ minutes.

Sajedeh A.

Yelp
Got this doordashed 40 min away and it was still good. Tofu pad Thai was some of the best I've had in that area

Shelley F.

Yelp
This location is take-out/delivery only. I ordered the crispy rolls, pad thai, and pho with meatballs for a big lunch since I skipped breakfast. I did order during lunch rush hour, so the wait was longer. Everything was packaged pretty well -- no food spills. First, the crispy rolls were delicious! Although Sticky Rice is a Thai/Lao food place, the pho here was surprisingly good; even better than some of the pho I've tried at some Vietnamese restaurants. The broth was very flavorful, but the meatballs weren't my favorite. While I was craving pad thai the most, it was sadly my least favorite. The portion was pretty big but heavily lacking in flavor. I didn't eat much of it, but after lunch my stomach started to hurt. A couple hours later, I heated up the pad thai leftovers because I was hungry. Again, my stomach became upset, and I had to use the toilet. and yeah I also gave the pad thai a third try because I was desperate with midnight cravings lol. And same story.. had to use the toilet right after. Something in that pad thai was off.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Fresh and well prepared. Very tasty. I like that they don't add thickening to the main dish. Saves a lot of calories and you really taste the seasonings

kathy l.

Yelp
Pad Thai is always excellent. The heat index can be rather variable, but it's delicious food.

Jitesh P.

Yelp
The food is always great and I would recommend you order a side of just yellow curry spicy to accompany your curry fried rice :)

John K.

Yelp
My favorite local Asian joint! Fast service, good food, decent price! Best in Wylie/Murphy area...

Catherine T.

Yelp
Sticky Rice is a definite monthly go to spot for dinner! The food is authentic, well seasoned and DELICIOUS! There's no need to add any additional sauce to the food. Extra chili oil if you want more of a kick to it. The portions are large and worth every penny you pay. Our favorites are chicken or beef pad thai, beef pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. We can feed a family of 5-6 people with these 3 orders. Level 2 (mild-medium) is a good spice level. Level 3 spice is - so if you can't handle spicy, stick to level 1-2. I recommend calling in and placing your order. There's usually a wait of 30-45 minutes for pick-up, but we don't mind it for good food and service. The restaurant recently reopened the dining area for dine-in. Very clean and friendly staff. Great spot in Murphy,TX for Thai food. Give it a try if you haven't!

Steven S.

Yelp
Great Food, Please dont send your food back because its too spicy. Just order the right spice level the first time. A 3 I would consider very spicy.

Van T.

Yelp
I called for 2 orders of crab fried rice. The rice was not fully cooked and raw. I called the restaurant and they agreed to make another one but I had to bring back one order that I have not touched. Anyway, they replaced ONE order even though I paid $35 for 2 orders. Going home again with the re-made fried rice , it was the same thing (rice is still not fully cooked). This is ridiculous. Wasted time & gas to drive back and forth for this kind of meal? Definitely not coming back.

Lidia F.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The service could be a bit more friendly/more smiles but all the food, from the appetizers to the dessert, is very good.

Eden H.

Yelp
Food is ok, specifically the Pad Kee Mow and Pad See Ew have decreased in quality recently. Very oily compared to how it was before. The service however is terrible. I have specifically had terrible interactions with Tiffany at the front. It seems like anything you ask is a bother, even if it's just a side dish you wanted to add to an order.

Liz A.

Yelp
I love Thai food and have been to a lot of Thai Food restaurants, but this one is outstanding! My sisters and I all ordered different entries off the menu and they were all delicious! The Spring rolls (fresh rolls) were outstanding and made with the freshest ingredients. You also need to try the Joy ice cream sandwiches. It is ice cream sandwiched between macaroons. They were delicious; the Lavender was the best in my opinion! Last but certainly not least, the service was excellent. Our food came right out and the staff was very friendly.

Nadia B.

Yelp
I love this place! It is BYOB. The food here is delicious and the chicken is fibrous. It's so hard to find fibrous chicken at Asian restaurants these days. Their tom yum soup is off the chain as well. Honestly, regardless of what you order the odds of it being delicious is very high.

Jarod M.

Yelp
Sticky rice is our favorite Thai food in DFW. The yellow curry is superb and flavorful. My wife loves the vegan pad-se-ew and their appetizers are amazing. Make sure you get all the dipping sauces. Worth it.

neil S.

Yelp
Ordered the HERB CHICKEN FRIED RICE, it was amazing, great flavors just wish it came with more sauce. Great customer service. Will be back and order the same thing!

Levert F.

Yelp
Amazing love this place 10 of the time we recommend anyone going here the rest was the best rest I've ever had in the whole entire world

Mike L.

Yelp
By far one of the best Panang curries I've ever had. This is my go to for just about every Thai joint and this place is something special. Service is impeccable quick and attentive staff. Not sure what more you could ask for. The inside is small so make sure you get there before or after the major meal hours or there's a chance you will be waiting. Do it, just do it!!!

Kelly L.

Yelp
This place is amazingly good and delicious. We came in right before the dinner rush but kept ordering so much food that we ended up leaving after many other families. The Tom Kha soup was the perfect meal as both me and my boyfriend were coming down with a little stuffy nose. We asked for 0 spicy level and it was great. Honestly, just the soup and rice would have been plenty for us (rice is extra). We got shrimp blankets as an appetizer and they came out pipping hot. The fried rice was also really good but a little too spicy for me (we got 2-3 spicy level). Although the mangoes probably weren't in season and not ripe enough, it was still a nice light treat to end the meal. Service was pretty good. Our waiter constantly checked up on us and we had a great time.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Unacceptable service We placed a catering order 2 days in advance for a special event. The order was not prepared at all till we got to the restaurant and the staff was completely apathetic and unapologetic about it.

Sheng H.

Yelp
Decent place. Ambiance is nice. Food is good. Wished it just wasn't so far out. If you're ever in that area and wanting to try delicious Laos food, definitely hit up this place.

Adriana J.

Yelp
Great place in Wylie/Murphy area! Waiters are vete courteous! Noodles are delicious! I recommend!

Paul G.

Yelp
Beware: the serving sizes are large. 2 plus servings per entree. Even the Tom Yum soup was more than enough for 3 to 4 servings. Or order was delivered and it arrived as promised. The Crispy Rolls appetizers are well done. I had the pork and my wife had chicken. Both were full of flavor. The Pad Thai with chicken was full of flavor as was my Pad Kee Mow. Both dishes have multiple components and textures yielding a very good eating experience. We will be back. Great job.

Brandon T.

Yelp
We've been coming to this restaurant for years and absolutely love it! Great staff, such delicious food, and very calm ambience! Tamarind Shrimp, Beef Pho, and Tom Yum - I definitely recommend!

Arif M.

Yelp
Nice clean place good lunch ambiance. Food was fresh and smelled great. Our younger kids even tried some (it looked appetizing). Some items menu descriptions were confusing and actual food came out different than expected (I would ask more questions before ordering). Good fast service. Would definitely go again.

Aaron G.

Yelp
I used to love this restaurant. It was the closet thing we had to Thai food in Wylie/Murphy. Covid came and nearly out this (and many other) restaurant out of business. They went takeout/delivery only. Finally, this year, they opened up for dining in again. Great! Today, though, my wife and I dined in for lunch. The crispy egg rolls were okay, but the sauce they served with it was overly sweet, like it had a lot of HFCS in it. Otherwise, they were good. Our main courses arrived, and they looked... different. Keep in mind, these were the same entrees we get frequently. The green curry looked a bit odd, but to my taste it was okay but not as good as it used to be. My wife ordered the Pad Se Ew, and then switched foods with me. I see why she switched: it had a thick, sweet, HFCS-like sauce on it. That is NOT how pad se ew should be! What happened to you, Sticky Rice? We used to love you! Please tell me this was an exception...

Jake H.

Yelp
Sticky Rice is a delightful gem, and their chicken fried rice is an absolute must-try! The perfectly cooked rice, tender chicken, and flavorful fusion of savory and sweet notes make for an unforgettable dining experience. The friendly service and charming ambiance add to the overall enjoyment, making it a place I'd gladly return to for more of their delectable offerings. If you're looking for really good chicken fried rice, Sticky Rice is the place to go!

Doug T.

Yelp
I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with Thai spicy and requested that the tofu be cut into smaller piece for an easier chew. The restaurant satisfied my request without any hesitation. I know that it takes more time to prepare the item with my request but the folks working at this restaurant did not hesitate to accommodate my special needs. I am 100% satisfied with Sticky Rice and will recommend this location to anyone within driving distance to visit it and enjoy a unique taste of Thailand and Cambodia. 10 stars for me if I can do so on Yelp.

april l.

Yelp
It's never a good sign when you order food online and you don't know when it will be ready for pick up till after you place and pay for your order!! Once we placed the order it said it would be ready in an hour. While an hour was not ideal, we went to pick up the food. It didn't take an hour ..... it took an hour and 40 minutes to get our food!! If we hadn't pre paid online we would have just left. Last night we picked up food from sticky rice for the first and last time.

Chad S.

Yelp
Idk just didnt fit my pallet. It just isnt for me, but that doesnt mean it others wont like it. I say give it a shot
