Not sure what I was expecting but this hotel exceeded it! Very nice staff, comfortable beds, spacious rooms that are very clean! The best part is the great restaurant and coffee shop downstairs. Would definitely stay again! Look at this view from my hotel room!!!

The hotel is fine, it is a little noisy and the furnishings are certainly not the fanciest, but good for smaller communities in Southeast Alaska. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The person running check-in needs to find another vocation, she obviously did not want to be there and was short and unwelcoming. The constant threats of fines are ridiculous with little signs everywhere. The price was certainly not the cheapest, so I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.

staff in the restaurant and bar were great.||Front desk staff at check in was pretty monotone and lacked sincerity, reading the litany of rules one had to follow...zero eye contact and just read through so many rules I glossed over them. Other staff at front desk was super pleasant.||Despite the speech at check in, there were still more rules/ signs everywhere...fee if you removed the screen, dont leave door open when you take a shower, leave shower curtain in the tub, fee if you lost your key and on and on. ||Owner/Manager should consider talking to their chef, who for both of our two nights, exploded into his own tirade of frustrations of life in the hospitality business and why everyone needs to only listen to him. It was a profanity filled rant both nights for every guest on the back side of the hotel to listen too. Maybe there are no choices in a town like this, and I get that, but he shouldn't have a job after his performance.||Clean room, but sadly, it seems like there are two kitchen fans...both were shut off the first night, but one was left on the second night that we got to listen to. ||Seriously not a bad place, just needs some fine-tuning and polish by whomever is in charge.

This is just for the restaurant. You’d think being the main option in Wrangell for so long, it’s be a safe bet. You’d be wrong. The food is really disappointing, expensive for what it is and the service not particularly pleasant. We preferred cooking at home than coming back …

Had dinner. The taco soup was the best I have had. The nachos were great too and also the fish

The coffee shop and restaurant are phenomenal, we ate almost every meal there during our stay (the fish burger was my favorite, and my kids loved the desserts). The staff are lovely and attentive, couldn’t be nicer. The rooms are dated and the air conditioning wasn’t super strong to combat the one hot day we had but they had fans in the rooms and the windows had screens so we were just fine. All in all it’s definitely the best option if you’re staying in Wrangell!

The sticking inn is a cozy little hotel situated right next to Wrangell harbor. I stayed here while on a fishing trip. The beds are cozy, and the room I stayed in offered a stove to cook the fish I caught when I got home. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be, main thing is the beds are comfy, you got an amazing view of the mountains and waterfront, and the restaurant serves up the best razor clam chowder I've ever had! The Stickine Inn staff are very friendly and kind folks, and made my stay very wonderful. Thanks, you guys, for a memorable experience, if I could give 20 stars I would! Till next time!

The rooms are basic. But ok at 300$ a night. No maid service for the 3 night stay. Not many options. Salad , soup pasta was 40$. So Inflation has certainly caught up In Petersburg.
