Google
Great experience, VERY detailed, and had a great speaker! Will be back for the cocktail nights !! This is definitely a hidden St.Louis GEM! Knowledge of Good was my favorite whiskey to taste.

We booked a tour on a whim while passing through St. Louis and I’m glad that we did! This place is amazing. It’s fun, like a mad scientist’s lab. Loads to learn and some really good spirits. They have so many different varieties that I was prepared to be disappointed but quite the opposite—most were highly enjoyable, smooth, and full-bodied. I can’t even fault those that I was not wild about, just a difference in palette. We returned later to purchase some experimental bottles (18 in total) and they’re a lot of fun. We’re keeping a log of our thoughts and favorites. This place is definitely worth checking out if you’re in town. Only possible complaint is a rather sad selection of merch. We were really hoping for a hat. But bottles and glasses will have to do.

Google
It was a dope experience, very informative and a really cool place to go. Me and my guy really enjoyed ourselves and the tour guide was funny and damn good at his job...

Google
We did the tour on Saturday with David, the owner. I liked the idea of hearing straight from the person who had the passion for his livelihood and what brings him joy. It's always better when the owner is giving the tour/backstory as opposed to an employee who was told what to say to be entertaining. David was patient and answered all questions as they came at him. An entrepreneur you could tell he was imaginative in his marketing as well as his spirit making. He was just as patient with the tasting at the end as multiple people went back for additional bottles just as he was about to move on to the next tour. If you're local to St. Louis, I would totally come out to the Friday night events or host an evening social here.

Google
This small distillery is a real class act. Tour guide Andrew really knew his stuff and made our tour both fascinating and enjoyable. The whiskey was quite good too. These guys are the real deal!

Google
Great tour! Very knowledgeable employee who patiently entertained a lot of my questions! I learned a lot and tasted some great stuff. So glad to know more about this local hidden gem!

Google
We had a great time with Dave at STilL 630. I've been on several distillery tours and this by and far blew all of the others out of the water! I was astonished how much detail Dave puts into every little thing, he always has a reason or meaning behind everything. The tour taught us not only about the distilling process, but also Dave's journey into the business. This is a must see!

Stacy Isermann

Google
We had such a great time on our tour. Fantastic guide, he explained the whole process with added interests, was charismatic, good charm, and overall so comprehensive. The spirits were unique and delicious! We will be back and will always ask for STilL630 products when we’re drinking locally!! What a win for STL!

Susan H.

Yelp
Andrew and Jake were absolutely amazing! This was the best night we had a class and they were amazing professional the best night ever!

Holly B.

Yelp
Andrew and Jake were amazing! Andrew was very informative and the cocktails chosen were delicious! Would highly recommend going to one of their classes for a great night!!

Yelp
Gin is my favorite spirit, but before doing a tour with Still 630, I had never tried it neat. Now, thanks to visiting this place, I only want to drink my gin straight up. And by the way, the gin they're making here is amazing. They have a few different gins, but my favorite was Volstead's Folly, which is juniper forward with a bit of pine. I love a good botanical gin, and this one was perfect. Another spirit that stood out that I tried was the Big Jake, which is a whiskey with natural coffee flavors in it. I had never tried anything like that before! I don't know if I could down a shot of it, but I could see this being a good addition to an espresso-flavored cocktail. Anyway, the tasting portion of the tour was my favorite, of course. We got to taste three different spirits of our choosing. But we also got to see the small distillery, and we were taken to the back where the barrels were. There's not a whole lot to see because Still 630 is a small operation. But the owner was friendly and funny, so he made the tour well worth the trip.

Yelp
I recently learned that in the last 5 years, Missouri has joined the ranks of Kentucky and Tennessee to declare its own style of whiskey- in this case, bourbon. Unlike other styles of bourbon, Missouri bourbon must be (1) made in the state of the Missouri, (2) aged in Missouri white oak barrels and (3) made exclusively with corn grown in the state. Having never tried this style of bourbon, I was excited to check out a local St. Louis distillery. StilL 630 is located near downtown St. Louis in a former Hardee's building. At this location they distill an assortment of whiskey, bourbon, gin and vodka. Several of their recipes have received awards locally, nationally and internationally. I came on first Friday, where they offer a free tasting of an experimental spirit. This also overlapped with their weekly Friday happy hour from 5-9pm where they offer monthly cocktail specials and discounted neat pours of any of their spirits ($6.30). Having come for the whiskey, I tried a flight of their Rallypoint Straight Rye Whiskey, Missouri Straight Bourbon and Big Jake's Breakfast Brew. By far, the Missouri Straight Bourbon was my favorite. Although I did not buy a bottle to go this time, it may be something that I come back for in the future. Overall, StilL 630 is a great addition to St. Louis and worth trying if you are interested in trying something new!

Bob P.

Yelp
What a great find. Great location. Really fun stop before dinner with friends and family. Learn about how they make and bottle their product while enjoying their great products. We love supporting locally owned and operated locations. You can't find it better than at Still 630!!

Marie S.

Yelp
I used a Groupon for a Tour and Tasting at StilL 360, a small distillery near downtown St. Louis. The tour was conducted by the owner, and i thought that it was informative and entertaining. After the tour of the operations, we moved on to the tasting area. Six types of Whiskey, Rum and Gin were available to taste, and we could choose 3 to sample. It was a fun activity to do on a Saturday afternoon, and I was happy to support a local small business by buying bottles of rum and whiskey to take home.

Audrey B.

Yelp
Got a Groupon for the tour and had a great time. I had no idea this was only a 2 person operation. I mean, they have amazing spirits that have been awarded. The guide was hilarious and so knowledgeable. He got pretty in depth about the distilling process and how theirs varies from others. It was a lot of information but I appreciated that - I feel like I have a strong foundation even if I don't retain it all. The spirits were all great and we walked away with a couple bottles. If you do the Groupon, just make sure you read the instructions and make the reservation on the 630 website prior to coming in.

Maggie Z.

Yelp
Used Groupon for the tour. Owner was extremely personable and kind. Tour was fun and not too long (really a create-your-own adventure) and came with 3 tastings. I took my girlfriend and she had the time of her life. Perfect trip for any gin, rum, or whisky lovers.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Our friend bought some tour experience on Groupon and we had a great time! David was funny, personable and patiently answered all our questions. Tastings were fun and we would love to get back on a Friday for their cocktail events.

Sonya G.

Yelp
We took the tour today and the owner was AMAZING!!! He is hilarious, kind, and welcoming!! I highly recommend the tour!

Leslie H.

Yelp
My husband and I heard about StilL 360 thanks to a Groupon deal. We scheduled our tour and had a great time! David, the owner (plus), is a ton of fun! The place is small, but the tour and tasting lasts about 45 minutes or so and is very interesting. David has a great sense of humor and you can tell he loves what he does. The tour ends with a tasting, and the product is a great quality. I highly recommend that you book a tour. (It's an inexpensive date!). Watch for special releases, too!

Katelyn R.

Yelp
I had never been to a distillery before, and StiL 630 will be hard to top. The owner/creator gave the tour, and he's the kind of guy you could sit and have a drink with. He turned an old Hardee's building into the coolest distillery in STL. They don't have AC, so if you're planning a tour, prepare accordingly.

Kelsey F.

Yelp
A great place with a great ambiance. A lovely apothecary of spirits, definitely check out if you are in the area!

daniel c.

Yelp
Driving through St Louis, Mo to see the archway... and I see a distillery and had to stop.... I felt like I walked into apothecary or mage's den, walls lined with hundreds of bottles containing " The water of life". Thanks David for stopping everything to sell me a bottle of this life changing whiskey. Shout out from the guys from Liberty pole. Can't wait to go back!

Shanna S.

Yelp
Excellent tour! Given by the owner himself. It's a one man show in this place and David does it all. David was kind, engaging, and you could tell very passionate about his craft. The story behind the name, the apothecary vibe to the elements, and the whole thing was very interesting. The tour also comes with tasting of 3. Plenty to choose from and a healthy pour of each. I highly recommend this tour

Natalie B.

Yelp
Walked in and the guy was a jack*** about us not being able to join his tour and that he "might" have room at the top of the hour. Not very friendly after also no one answering their phone when we tried to call first. Disappointed.

Renee F.

Yelp
Best distillery experience yet! It's not about fancy it's about character and vibe! The location is old fast restaurant, Hardee's! The staff was so nice and super passionate about what they do - and proud! As they should be! 2018 Best in Class Winner in Each Category is...Best in Class Whiskey Still 630 - 5 Year RallyPoint, Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey, Missouri I didn't buy the year of their five year but I did buy their 2016 winner - I was lucky enough to buy the last bottle they had of the third release! Yay me https://www.still630.com/spirits-list/2017/12/8/double-barrel-rallypoint-rye-whiskey I don't know how they do it but they come out with a menu of new cocktails every week! It's named "the library" and is super creative! (Pics) Can you imagine coming up with recipes and creative names every week???? Go ahead I dare you to try it! If your in the area stop by and say "hi" - you definitely won't regret it! The only thing I regret is not getting a bottle of their rum - if you go by pick me up one! I'll pay you back!

Tank G.

Yelp
This place is located in an old Hardees. The way it was converted is totally cool. I would call it no frills distillation. Scheduling the tour was simple and easy. The communication and confirmation was great. The tour was awesome. The business owner, David, led the tour and was a triple threat; nice, knowledgeable and funny. He talk on the level of the people on the tour and broke things down so that even I could understand and at the same time witty. He his definitely very passionate about his craft and spares no expense for the visual aids. They have cool events on Fridays (wish I could attend). The tour is very reasonably priced and you should catch it while you can. This place is going to become a lot bigger and then the price will go up. I highly recommend supporting this local business by not only taking the tour, but buying the award winning spirits, which were delicious.

Jake K.

Yelp
A+++ Great spirits Great cocktails Great events Great staff Great everything No complaints

Nicole C.

Yelp
This was a fun, quick, "things to do" in St. Louis. The owner is funny, knowledgeable and entertaining. It's only $5 for the experience but he has plenty of things you can buy! You could tell he has taking his hobby very seriously and turned it into a nice business.

Kevin W.

Yelp
I remember the first time I stumbled upon this place. It was purely on accident. I was searching for a place to park for the Cardinals' game. They were offering parking for $5 or $10, and my wife and I decided to park there. Usually when I park somewhere, I make sure to remember the place I parked in front of. I looked at the building and was trying to determine exactly what it was. Was it a bar? Was it still under construction? Was this place open? I was really confused. I took the name down and decided to do some research after I got home. I asked my best friend, Google, and found out that I had parked in front of was a local distillery. What?! A distillery in St. Louis? So cool! StilL 630 makes both rum and whiskey, but their bread and butter are their whiskeys. They aren't open during the weekdays, but do offer tours on the weekends. You can sign up for tours online, or walk-ins are also welcome. I got to check out the tour this past weekend. Admission is $5 and the tour is about 30-45 min. The tour is about the history of StilL 630 and the process of making whiskey and rum. At the end of the tour, we were able to try 4 of Still 630's products. Here is my ranking from my favorite to least favorite. 1. S. S. Sorghum Whiskey 2. Soulard Island Rum 3. RallyPoint (this is their flagship whiskey) 4. Big Jake White Dog Whiskey I definitely recommend checking this place out. I love supporting local businesses, especially ones like this. Dave, the owner, was very friendly and very passionate about his craft. I found it quite impressive that there were only two employees, Dave and another person that delivers his products. Dave personally handles each one of his bottles. How's that for quality control. Even though StilL 630 isn't huge, the owner makes up for it through his huge heart for his business and craft. (sorry that was a little cheesy :P)

Robert K.

Yelp
Phenomenal overall experience with this distillery! You can tell that the owner, Dave, is extremely passionate about what he does and the spirits he makes. He was very welcoming upon arrival and a great "tour guide" throughout the journey. It's incredible how much he's capable of doing with not a lot of space and help. A truly hard-working American. The distillery used to be an up-scale restaurant before StilL 630 took over the space. I loved that when you walk inside you're right in the heart of the action. I loved the rugged, authentic feel overall to the place. After the conclusion of the tour, we were able to sample 4 spirits (Gin, Rum, or Whiskey/Bourbon) of our choosing. I've never been a big Gin or Rum fan, but in the true spirit of tastings, I gave both of them a shot and was surprising impressed with both of them. The Gin wasn't quite as potent as Gin I've tried in the past, and I would definitely consider having a glass again down the road. The Rum wasn't like a traditional spiced rum, but I liked it nonetheless. Of the Whiskey/Bourbon we tried, my favorite was the Double Barrel. There was a wide variety to choose from even a clear/white whiskey and a coffee whiskey that would be a perfect way to start anyone's day. I hope to make it back to one of the Friday tastings where he lets people samples experimental batches that he's been working on. 10/10 would recommend giving this distillery a shot!

Angie F.

Yelp
First time visiting this establishment and was beyond disappointed. Was greeted by a rude employee that used vulgarity (including the F word) literally as soon as we walked in the door. Horrible attitude and completely inappropriate. The employee was insulting and very prejudice in his comments. Ridiculously bad!

Katie P.

Yelp
The tour was a great experince. We learned a lot about the distillery process, sampled gin, bourbon and whiskey -- the owner was fun and informative. I would absolutely recommend going!

Tia H.

Yelp
Quick review: 3 *** Let me fist say that I am not a fan of drinking spirits straight. We had friends who asked us to go to their free tasting they offer the first Friday of the month. Atmosphere - 3 *** The building is in an old Hardee's. You can tell they are making improvements. It's a new business so that is how I gave the rating. Otherwise I would have given a 1*. It is in need of a lot of work. Food - None Staff: 4 **** The owner gets a five star but the one bartender was a bit slow. There was a long line to wait in to get drinks. Drinks - 3*** They do offer mixed drinks. The one I had was good. It was tiny for $8. Again I can not drink spirits without a mixer. All in all: 3*** We might go back for a tasting if we are in the area and because it's near 4 Hands.

Deb M.

Yelp
Proprietor David Weglarz was excellent. We did a tour and tasting today at his distillery, StiL 360. David has a gift. Not only does he tell great stories but he makes wonderful whiskey and rum. His space isn't fancy but that doesn't take away from the experience, in a weird way it adds to the quirkiness of it all. A great way to spend an hour or so. Can't wait to see where this journey takes StiL360.

Mark P.

Yelp
I discovered that straight whiskey is not my thing. But taking tours that are fun, engaging and insightful are my thing. David, the owner, was awesome. He has a passion that shines through his tour presentation. We had a pretty big group, but that offered more questions for David to answer. He was funny and has a passion and a dream for what he does. Also I will be there on 6/30 to celebrate 5 years. I'm bringing coke though so I can mix my drinks. ;-)

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Bought this tour on Groupon. I wanna say this is the best purchase ever!!! David is the owner and tour guide and you can tell he is very passionate about his business. I will be coming back to more tours and events. The rum and whiskey was amazing and the fact there are a variety of flavors make it that much more interesting to want to come back. Love the lighthearted jokes and history.

Carol S.

Yelp
Like so many reviewers here I purchased the Still 630 tour on Groupon as part of a 21st Birthday celebration. When I pulled up to the building I started to regret my decision as the former Hardee's looked a little sketchy. Don't be fooled! The woodsy smells of the barrels and spices will warmly great you when you step inside. David the owner and our tour guide is awesome. He is proud of the business he started and his passion for craft distilling pours from him through smart, witty, and enthusiastic descriptions. The tour wasn't rushed and the tasting pours were generous. He allowed us to linger and encouraged us all to return for one of the first Friday of the month craft cocktail evenings. He shared with one of the cocktail menus for the evening held earlier this month which included a handful of boozy, Holiday themed temptations. This would be a perfect stop on a bachelor or bachelorette party, a birthday, or anniversary outing, or great for a cigar club meeting. I highly recommend Still 630 as a fun outing for anyone!

Lynn H.

Yelp
Very disappointing to see that this place is open until 4 (at least on this Saturday) but if you don't make the 3pm tour they won't allow you to do a tasting. There should be something in their listings or website that specifies you must take a tour to receive a tasting, and don't waste your time if you are going to arrive after 3pm. We were really looking forward to supporting and experiencing this distillery and it just felt like we weren't good enough for them. Not the way to run a business.

Steve N.

Yelp
This place is awesome. The spirits the owner Dave Weglarz creates are award winning and you can tell. I've taken two tours here over the years when I visit St. Louis and they've been amazing. Dave shares his knowledge and his passion and it is so contagious. At the end of the tour, he provides tastings of your choice. I'd recommend anyone in the area to schedule a tour and learn more about the growing craft spirits industry and Dave himself. Good times!

Ben N.

Yelp
We took the tour as part of a bachelor/bachelorette party. The owner is a very knowledgable and personable guy. We had a great time engaging him, cracking jokes and asking questions. I enjoyed the fruits of his labor. I ended up purchasing two bottles, and will likely return for more. I highly encourage you to check this place out, because this is exactly the type hardworking, grassroots, local establishment; with a high quality product, that you will want to support.

Tina S.

Yelp
Dave, the owner is very passionate about his work and was more than willing to share his history and knowledge with our group. He was very proud that most of his equipment was made in Missouri, which was pretty awesome. His building was a little hard to find, it is hard to believe that he has been making his whiskey for two years. He explained where we could purchase his products, and then came the sampling. We tried his Rally Point and Big Jake. It was a little much for me, however; he made us a cocktail after the tasting it was more fit to my taste. Cool place, cool guy and must drink if you like whiskey.

Ethan H.

Yelp
Wow! A fine, homegrown whiskey distillery in downtown St. Louis! This place was excellent. David, the owner, gave a great tour and was about as knowledgeable and friendly as could be. And the whiskey was awesome. I tried two different whiskeys, the Rally Point (a traditional whiskey) and the White Dog (a clear whiskey). While the lack of aging certainly makes White Dog unusual for a whiskey, it also allows the drinker to appreciate the subtle, floral and herbal flavors of the original spirit. Anyway, I really liked both. But seriously, don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. There's room for Rally Point and White Dog in any liquor cabinet. And for me, there will be room for a stop at StilL 630 any time I'm in St. Lou.

Meghan P.

Yelp
This is a small, two man set up, but don't let this fool you. It is clear the owner is living his dream, doing what he loves. The tour is informative and interesting. You are able to sample the whiskey and rum and make purchases in the store. We purchased two bottles to take home. He also collaborates with local breweries. I would recommend this to anyone in the Saint Louis area.

Michaela E.

Yelp
I have been here for tours a couple of times. It doesn't seem like it is in the best location, but it's not a bad place. It's really cool and if you are really interested in whiskey and how it is made its definitely worth the tour. My favorite whiskey is RallyPoint.

Jeff S.

Yelp
We came in today very much looking forward to trying the spirits. In from out of town and heard good things. Unfortunately they will only pour if you take a tour. The guy behind the bar told us we could wait for the 1pm, we said we only wanted to taste the wares, at which point he shrugged us off. Taking the not-so-subtle hint that we weren't welcome, we moved along. Oh well.

Ian F.

Yelp
Intelligent and entertaining 1hr tour and tasting. Learned a lot about distillation. Enjoyed tasting award-winning spirits at the end. Went home having bought a quality bottle of rum. Great value. High expectations for this distiller's impact in the region and afar.

Ryan T.

Yelp
Stopped by on a weekend visit to St Louis. Love meeting such passionate and inspired business owners as David. Great conversation and even better Whiskey. This is a must see stop of all Whiskey & Rum lovers.

Rheanna B.

Yelp
We (my boyfriend and I) were visiting St. Louis for the weekend and stayed downtown. I looked for things to do on Groupon and came across this fairly close distillery. I checked their website and made a reservation for the tour and tasting. We arrived about 5 min early, and were greeted by David, the owner. He was great - a very funny and informative guy! He walked us through the process of how they make their whiskey. Afterwards, there was a tasting of about 9 whiskeys, all ranging from Gin to a Triple Rally Point. I purchased a bottle of the Rum at a very reasonable price! I hope to come back and visit David the next time we are in town (:

Megan J.

Yelp
David is an inspiration to drinkers and entrepreneurs everywhere! His modest, passionate and informative tour was the perfect gift to my dad and husband for Father's Day. David's humor and an amazing taste test made the warm temperature of the distillery more than bearable. It's obvious that this distillery has a bright future with him at the helm. I look forward to watching this brand grow!

Heather M.

Yelp
So...last minute groupon purchase by my amazing sister. Thought it'd be a great place to prime ourselves before a concert and boy was she spot on! Not only us it jyst plain awesome to support local small business, but the owner, David is just a cool cat and definitely knows his shit when it comes to making great bourbon, whiskey and rum. Fantastic tour, hospitality AND if you arent sure if you like the first tasting...just ask for another! Make sure you get your tickets for 6.30.17 to experience this AMAZING place...new whiskey to be revealed. Thanks David and cheers to you for following your dream and sharing it with all!

Jim A.

Yelp
Took the tour on Saturday afternoon. Dave, the owner, conducted the tour. He is fun to watch and listen to. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about distilled sprits. He also has a great sense of humor. The tour of is only $5 and you get to sample 5 or 6 made-there spirits. Dave wouldn't take the $5 tour fee because we bought tickets to the annual 630 (on 6/30) Destillery anniversary party. Great time, good fun!

Andrew N.

Yelp
StilL 630 is a new distillery in the old Burger King at the corner of 4th and Chouteau downtown. The owner is David, and is one of the most welcoming people I've ever met. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but he's slowly renovating the space. Currently, he has 2 different whiskeys to try -- an aged white dog whiskey and an aged (15 months) whiskey. They are open on Sat and Sundays for tastings, but you might want to call ahead to ensure he will be there -- he does a decent amount of tastings on the weekends, trying to get his name out there. I'm more of a fan of the aged whiskey than the white one, but if you like tequila or grappa, this big dog whiskey might be one you would enjoy. He hand numbers and signs all of his labels. The inside is under renovation still, but he's got a nice corner finished for tastings. I've been trying to take as many people as I can to this place -- it's pretty unique. Check it out! Pros: good whiskey, cool idea, owner is awesome. Cons: not many people know about this!

Jane K.

Yelp
Took the tour and learned a lot about the art of distilling and whiskey making. Dave, the owner, is very knowledgeable and friendly. He is dedicated to his art and creating a quality product with local resources. At the end of the tour is the tasting of 4 different whiskeys and rums. Something fun and different to do on a weekend with friends and family!

Maggie B.

Yelp
We came to StilL 630 before a night out, and we really enjoyed our time! David was knowledgeable and funny and answered all of our questions during the hour long tour. I am not an avid spirits drinker, but I was able to find several that I enjoyed during the tasting - The Breakfast Blend was great! StilL puts on several events throughout the year, so we are hoping to attend a few. Thanks for a fun afternoon!

Larry H.

Yelp
Great tour from David! It was very interesting to hear about the distilling process. We were impressed with David's expertise and it was great to support another St Louis business!

Robin H.

Yelp
This was a very educational experience. David had a sincere passion for making a high quality, fabulous tasting rum and whiskey. I surprised my husband with this tour and he loved it. This is a must do tour!. We wish David much success and continued growth.

Annie P.

Yelp
Thank you to David for the educational and personal tour. We took our friends who love bourbon and rum to celebrate their brunch bachelor/ette party. Each spirit had such varying personality. We look forward to seeing StiL 630 grow into one of St Louis' staples. Great time and great spirits!
