I wanted to come back and update my review. After speaking with the coordinator, they kindly invited me to return and offered to redo the service with one of their more experienced therapists. I’m truly grateful for how accommodating they were and for their commitment to making things right. My therapist, Christina, was absolutely phenomenal. Thank you, Aubrey, for reaching out so thoughtfully. As a mom of two, this experience made me feel genuinely pampered and cared for. The amenities are beautiful! The spa, the grotto, and the overall atmosphere make you feel like a million bucks when you leave. I’m excited to treat myself again in the future, and I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone.

Stillwell Spa is so relaxing, quiet, and all the amenities that come with it are perfect! From the beginning — the reception is great they walk you through the whole thing and are super nice. That made the experience really great! The private grotto session was awesome, it was a bit more on the cold side but we didn’t mind it during our scheduled reservation. They have a tea bar section where you can create your own tea blends, that was the perfect touch to a spa day. Let’s also talk about those delicious lavender shortbread cookies!! I need a recipe asap! The relaxing lounge area was so comfortable, I wish I spent more time there because those lounge chairs were really comfy! We used the outdoor pool/jacuzzi which had breathtaking views! Ended it with a sauna and gym session! Bring activewear if you do choose to use the gym amenities. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a wellness + relaxing experience! The locker rooms were super clean and functional, they have about everything you need such as a hair dryer, straightener and curler! We did get hungry and went up to the bar area - I had a club sandwich with fries and that was filling + a great piece of chicken! I love this place and will definitely be back!

What a great experience! From check in to the amenities to the services. Cat and Katie (hope I spelled their names correctly) both were truly amazing and made the experience great. Thank you for taking care of me and making sure I had the best time. I cannot wait to come back.

I had a mixed experience here. While the massage itself was very good, the overall service and lack of transparency seriously took away from the experience. We were told at the front desk that they would schedule our grotto time for us, but that never happened. When we followed up later, they could only fit us in at the very end of the day and showed no apology or acknowledgment for the mistake. Customer service at the front desk was consistently disappointing. Even as we were leaving, the lobby was empty, yet the front desk staff repeatedly chose not to assist us. Valet parking was included with our massage and day pass, but we were simply handed our keys and told to find the car ourselves. When I explained that the car was blocked in, we were told to wait for the valet. After waiting nearly an hour and checking back again, we were again told to continue waiting. Eventually, I asked for the keys and had to retrieve the car myself. For a spa at this price point, I expected far better organization, communication, and customer care. The massage therapists were great, but the front desk experience made the day far more stressful than relaxing. Updating to say I called back after missing your call, indicating why I was calling and whoever answered the phone attempted to charge me again for the service. I had to confirm the time/day the payment left my account and they said that was all. Extremely dissapointing.

This is me second time here all within 3 weeks apart! Thats how much I loved it!!! The massages were so relaxing, the views, the grotto. Everything here is perfect and I’m planning my next trip up here. It’s approx $260 with a 50 min massage included! But so worth it!

Visited Salt Lake City for girls trip this month. Spending the day at Stillwell Spa was a no-brainer. It is a beautiful, luxurious spa with absolutely beautiful views. My group spent a little over 5 hours enjoying our time here from having a relaxing massage, to enjoying the hot tubs outside amongst the breathtaking views of the mountains behind us. We also enjoyed drinks and small bites from one of the Snowpine Lodge restaurants. The food hit the spot! Unfortunately, there was an issue with the grotto and we were not able to go inside of it, but to make up for this, the staff provided each of us with a free gift. Everyone was so accommodating and made the experience amazing!

Easily my favorite spa in Utah. It’s consistently clean, well organized, and fully stocked. I recommend it to anyone for either a girls’ day or anniversary retreat.

Highly recommend! I felt so well taken care of at my prenatal massage. The spa is completely relaxing, has great amenities and a great staff. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy the views as well as the treatments 🩷

Yelp
This is the perfect getaway if you're looking to relax and be pampered. The staff at Stillwell Spa will do anything they can to make you feel comfortable and right at home. My partner and I were able to enjoy some time in the grotto-a private indoor hot tub. I appreciated the bowl of ice and wash cloths that provided a quick cool-down after being in the hot water for a while. We also took advantage of the oxygen bar and the compression boots for our legs. It was so relaxing that we fell asleep in the chairs! The locker room is almost as inviting as the rest of the space-you'll find a sauna and steam room as well as a fully stocked counter with toiletries to make your visit even more comfortable. There's a darling boutique out front where you can purchase things to take home and continue your relaxation after you leave. They can recommend specific products if you love something from your treatment. I'm still feeling the relaxation a couple days later and I am looking forward to returning in the future.

Yelp
Service was outstanding. Was treated like a VIP. I had a massage with Michal and she was amazing. One of my top two massages ever (and I am a lodger not a skier so I have been to many a spa)

Yelp
First time here and it was amazing!! From sitting outside in the hot tub with the view of new snow and fall leaves to relaxing inside in the grotto. We spent over five hours here thoroughly enjoying a Sunday afternoon. All of the spa employees were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant inside of the Snowpine Lodge was delicious and a perfect way to end a relaxing afternoon!! I did get a massage. Everything else here was just amazing, but my massage was just ok. They let you pick out a smell, which was amazing. It was more the individual who gave me the massage, honestly. Would I go back and get another massage? Absolutely. I think it was a personal preference and that happens. I have gone to the spa at Snowbird and this one I prefer more. It feels newer and nicer. I will definitely return!!

Yelp
Stillwell Spa is such a hidden gem! I have been a loyalist at another ski resort spa for so long, but Stillwell Spa really hits it out of the park with its luxury touches and updated nods to history. This hotel is a lot smaller than some ski resorts but it gjves it a boutique and upscale feel. The furnishings and decor all feel freshened up but still appropriately mountain-lodge. I love the mix of modern/contemporary and rustic stone and wood. The original stone walls are an amazing touch. Access to the spa includes the relaxation room, sauna, locker rooms, and outdoor pool and two hot tubs. You have to reserve a private time in the indoor grotto hot tub but it's nice because you don't have to share with anyone. Robes and slippers while in the spa are included. They also have a great selection of complimentary sunscreen to use which came in very handy before we went to the outdoor pool (even if you don't normally burn, remember the elevation! Sun hits in a different way up there and lots of ladies came into the locker room lobster-red.) The pool view is ridiculous, and all the floors have great balconies to further enjoy the views. The relaxation room has these wonderful chaises to nap on and enjoy some organic loose-leaf tea, which they have a lovely selection of. Everything is very snug and cozy, including the locker rooms, so when we were there it swung from being just us wandering around to a packed ladies room when guests were getting ready for a wedding which was pretty tight. There is only one vanity and it's in the same area as the lockers so it can get crowded. The vanity does include complimentary hair products, blow dryer, and straightener, and that was so nice for getting ready after our treatments. The showers all have their amazing aromatherapy spray which makes your shower amazing (though my shower stall wouldn't get warmer than lukewarm for some reason). My only wish is that they'd made the locker rooms more spacious. The indoor grotto is just as amazing as it looks in photos - but it is HOT in there so be ready for that if you come in the summer like we did (we took some ice water from the relaxation room with us). They do have iced towels inside the grotto which is a very helpful touch. My facial was perfection. There are lots of options for add-ons and I ordered a foot massage during the time the serums were setting on my face. The staff is very professional and polite, but they were out of some complimentary items they said they had at the front desk (makeup wipes). It is a little awkward to have to take the elevator to the pool and have to be walking around the hotel in your robe. The pool is open to the entire hotel and we had a lot of splashy kids when we were laying out by the pool, which was not the most relaxing experience. I do like when they have a private pool for spa guests only. They told us we could order food at the restaurant and then bring it to the pool, but everyone stared at us and we didn't feel very welcome in the nice restaurant. Next time I'd do this before I change into my swim suit. The food was very good and it was nice to enjoy it poolside. I can't wait to return and get another amazing facial (though I'd probably skip the outdoor pool if there are kids around). This is such a relaxing spa experience!

Yelp
We went here on a day pass So it's listed as $75 Pool inside wasn't working, No lockers for a day pass Towels all over the place Was supposed to be complimentary valet as per person over the phone Arrived, were told to "park across the street" in not cleaned side of the road Stuck in the snow as a result Also at the end it turned out there is a 20% tip on top already charged on top of 75 Place is grate service is awful

Yelp
I wish I could leave zero stars. I am so upset with this spa and the hotel it's associated with. My husband booked a Mother's Day weekend getaway for me and two friends. A disaster across the board. The grotto is just a private hot tub, they can't refill water after closing time, which is 6pm, and our massages ended at 5:50. There was no amenities in the locker room at the end of the day, we dried off with rugs, had no conditioner, and no one told us, upon booking or arriving, that the spa was closing after our services. Talk about a rushed, not relaxing, EXPENSIVE and horrible time for a special event.

Yelp
I liked the Stillwell Spa as a male customer within a female dominated niche service industry for health & beauty's pampering and relaxation. The staff was kind and they explained the varied services and toured the facilities. During the winter snow, this is a safe haven from the cold, so is especially refreshing if not reinvigorating. This is adjacent to the Alta snow ski resort. We enrolled our children into the ski school, so it was a pleasant pastime from 10am to 3pm while they took their lessons.

Yelp
The day pass is actually $90, not $75 as advertised on the website, which is misleading. They automatically add a $15 tip to the bill even though no individual services or treatments are included in the day pass. If they require a mandatory 20% tip or service charge from every visitor whether you schedule spa treatments or not, this should be explicitly stated on their website. No one likes a surprise charge.

Yelp
Hit the jackpot with this couples' spa! After searching forever around Salt Lake for somewhere special to take my wife, Stillwell totally delivered. The staff here is genuinely friendly (not fake-spa-nice), and they've thought of everything - indoor/outdoor hot tubs, sauna, steam room, and an awesome fireplace lounge area with a view of the ski slopes. Love that they include little extras like fresh cookies and tea without nickel-and-diming you. Already planning our next visit. 100% worth it for a special date.

Yelp
I was beyond thrilled with my experience at the Stillwell Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed and pampered. The lodge itself was beautiful, the mountain views were incredible, and the spa amenities were top-tier. From the cozy, relaxation room, the women's locker room, including steam, shower, and sauna to the private grotto to the outdoor pool and hot tub all of it. Well exceeded my expectations! Elsa gave me a wonderful facial and I would happily return for another anytime soon. I loved that the spa was a little bit smaller, it was not overly crowded and guests were respectful of spa etiquette. In comparison to the Cliff Spa just down the road, there is no comparison to even be made. The Stillwell spa was hands-down, one of the best spots that I have visited! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely unreal. I got a couples spa package for my birthday and was completely blown away by every detail. I feel like a brand new person. I got an 80 min massage as well and it was the best experience I've ever had. Kat and our two massage therapists were attentive and explained everything. Worth every penny

Yelp
SoCal native here. But recently took a random trip to Utah for my anniversary (9 years)! And according to TikTok this place was the place to go for facials or massages during your spa. Whilst we stayed in SLC, we took the 1 hour trip to this spa. The views getting there were amazing. The facial I got was with the brand Elemis which is a staple in my routine. The extractions were virtually painless (but I get frequent facials so not a lot to extract). After my facial, my partner and I relaxed in the quiet lounge before we experience "the grotto" which is a large heated pool. Sadly there were no cold towels in the chilled bowl and the previous spiked towels were left in there when we went in. It wasn't a big deal because we didn't need them but still sorta gross. After our grotto time, the changing areas have dry and steam saunas. Both were relaxing but not as hot as other saunas we've been to. However, it was a great experience and would do it again if I'm in Utah!

Yelp
I went here on a solo spa day and it was fantastic. Before my arrival, Cat answered endless questions about whether I'd have space to take work calls in the lodge (there was plenty!) and was incredibly patient. Cami, Cat and Rose all took excellent care of me and made sure I knew where to go for my scheduled massage and time in the grotto. Having the grotto to yourself is excellent but my absolute favorite part was when I sat in a jacuzzi outside and watched it snow on an incredible view of the mountains. Gorgeous! And I had the hot tub to myself on a Friday in the winter?! Highly, highly recommend and will def be back. My day ended with an incredible massage from Kai who gave great pressure.

Yelp
What a special experience my husband and I had at Stilwell Spa. The massages were incredible with hot stones and serum for the face. The private grotto pool was so beautiful and relaxing. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Went here with my daughter for a special spa day. Both got 2 hour massages. My massage with Michael (female) was terrible. I am usually too nice to complain but after 30 min in I started questioning what she was doing. I was there for a Swedish massage and she was using a pressure point technique with barely even any pressure. I had to ask her three times to stop what she as doing and give me a Swedish style massage. She asked if I wanted my feet massaged and I said yes did she barely massaged them (I have manicured feet no calluses) I think she does not like feet. I added on hot oil scalp treatment and she put it on with the lightest touch to the point it was annoying. At one point I thought she fell asleep when she was massaging my neck. She missed one of my legs when she turned me over to face up. I was so tired of complaining and directing her that I just let that one go. Only reason I gave three stars is because my daughter had a fabulous massage with Chandler (female). Also the manager and staff were all great.
