I visited Stilts Tree Houses for dinner and the bush babies feeding experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. The feeding was well organized, done according to clear rules, and with great respect for the animals, which I really appreciated. It felt ethical, calm, and truly special. We also had dinner there, and the food was so delicious that we ended up ordering a second portion — especially the mishkaki, which was outstanding. The prices were very reasonable, and honestly, it felt like the only place during my entire stay in Kenya where I was charged a fair, normal price, not an inflated “tourist” price. The tree house complex itself looks beautiful. The houses are well designed and offer a good level of privacy, surrounded by nature. I think this is an ideal place to stay overnight for anyone who enjoys being close to nature and wants a peaceful, unique experience. I highly recommend both the food and the bush babies feeding experience.

Sleeping here feels like being deep in the forest — surrounded by birdsong, the playful calls of monkeys, and the gentle rustle of leaves. Most of all, it gives you an incredible sense of relaxation and peace. We have slept in one of the tree houses and it was amazing. If you want something different from rich tourist hotel resorts... then this is the right place.

It's a lovely place for backpackers. The stuff is very kind, the food is good. Every evening they have baby bush feeding.

Beware if you pay with a debit card at Stilts - they will charge you a 5% transaction fee 😡. It’s fair for them to charge on a credit card but a debit card is the same as cash. It’s a rip off - won’t be back I decided to give them another chance but it was just worse. Very slow, very unfriendly service, not typical of Diani at all. Unless there’s a change of management or ownership I’ll definitely never return. 💯

If you want to feed the bush babies and have a nice meal with some drinks, I highly recommend this place! They feed the bush babies who live close by every day at 7 pm and it's a great way to see them up close. It's right opposite the Ali Barbour cave restaurant.

Lovely little restaurant where you can feed the Bush babies at 7pm. Definitely a great experience. The barman was very friendly and gave us some information about the Bush babies. We were the only ones in the restaurant so don't expect a busy atmosphere. Good food, great experience.

I recently stayed at Stilts Backpackers in Diani Beach, and I had an amazing experience! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the beautiful Diani Beach. The atmosphere is super relaxed, and it's surrounded by lush trees, which gives it a unique, nature-focused vibe. You can even spot bush babies at night, which was a highlight for me. The rooms were basic but clean and cozy—ideal for a budget-friendly stay. I really enjoyed hanging out in the common areas, which had a very chill, social atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affordable place to stay with a great location close to the beach and friendly people, I definitely recommend Stilts Backpackers!

We went along for the Bushbaby feeding. We have been going for the last 3 years. The first year we stayed here in a tree house style room. As always a great interactive experience, only ruined by rude Europeans who were feeding the bushbabies food they had brought along in their bags, using flash photography and being really noisy. These are wild animals and these particular tourists did not respect them. Keep up the good work team at Stilts but maybe try and check that people aren't feeding and touching the bushbabies before you come round with the tray of food for them.
